Thing is though, volume 3 worked because the shock was unexpected. Now we expect everything to go to shit. So no matter who they kill or what they do no one is gonna give a fuck. And its not like we will get any grand revalations or interesting plot points
I think it has gotten better and I never thought volume 3 was as great as most people seem to think. The fact that some actual plot start moving was certainly an improvement over volumes 1 and 2 but said plot wasn't actually all that great

Id say it hurt the series more in that it made people start to expect real drama in the show. Nowadays everyone wants and thinks everything is gonna be in grand sweeping scenes or arcs. And at the end of the day thats just not RWBY it really just doesn’t do high levels of drama

You know, if Ozpin and Salem have been going at it this long, why was Salem so concerned wither or not Ozpin was killed by Cinder?
