I think part of the reason this was overlooked was because it was early cgi and essentially a rebranding of the earlier version but i loved this cartoon as a kid and even now.
This may sound weird but i think this cartoon may have influenced Ladybug a bit in how the two MC's powers are similar and the first episode of Action man takes place in paris. I'm a retard i know, but still a guy can dream.

I'm still looking for episodes of that show, I even had this idea for a Mutant League Live Tour, where it's basically Pro Wrestling, but replace the wrestling with the sports: Football, Basketball, Soccer, Hockey, & Volleyball (while still keeping storylines, of coarse), have all the players be athletes in monster suits (easy to play in but still looks realistic), and have all kinds of violence and gore (with fake green blood and tons of pro wrestling-esc moves done to eachother in and off the field or court or whatever)

First episode is pretty meh, the out-of-the-car fight choreography is laughably sluggish, and the voices take some getting used to, but otherwise it's an incredibly solid show all around especially the character building moments and actual racing. More often that not, it's also very funny:
