I'm glad the other half of Sup Forums is finally coming to its senses regarding this dumpster fire of a reboot.

What's wrong with it?

This. I haven't seen it since that two part first episode they aired all day, but that was really good. What happened?

REEEEE WEBBY REEEEE

>When you can't refute that she's one of the show's biggest problems

>It's a terrible show
>this dumpster fire of a reboot

There aren't even 10 episodes out, calm the fuck down

>mfw it didn't 10 episodes for 1986 DuckTales to get good

>Who else doesn't care about it anymore?
>he started a thread to ask
I don't think you understand how this "not caring" thing works, user.

It's a harmless reboot that doesn't effect the original.
Can't you just let those who enjoy it, enjoy it?

You know all that adventure shit they promised? only 2 out of the 10 are outside of duckbird. Scrooge is a side character or less for all the episodes but 2, and Webby is more the MC than anyone else atm.

Can't you let those that don't like it voice their issues?

The Mabelduck show
Told ya Alex's beard would ruin it

Fair enough

>completely mischaracterising scrooge
>Donald is irrelevant
>child actors
Took 1 episode to become terrible
All flash zero substance, only enjoyed by casuals who never read the comics.

It's ok. I didn't expect much but I keep watching.

that's not true. You can enjoy both and most people don't care that scrooge is nicer.

>all the trailers were crazy adventures
>pilot episode is crazy adventures

FUCK YES DUCK TALES WOO-OO

>no more adventures

Actually, there are at least 3 other adventures
It just seems like no more adventures because Disney fucked up the airing order

I'd rather have a scrooge who's nice & actually there than one who's an afterthought

>It just seems like no more adventures because Disney fucked up the airing order
airing order or not, you've got like 10 episodes & only like 1/3 or them are adventures
fuck this excuse, there's no explanation why a series that's built upon adventure should stay in the same town for as long as it has

I'm trying to list out the content of the episodes.
they have conflict, which helps the interest.
They are lacking in mystery... Launch pad and his side quest... It would have been cool if they did a two part episode. and during the two parter they paralleled the plots. and swapped back and forth... a bit chaotic ... but its' been done before. tied them back together at the end of the two parter.

webby is that no it all that has no social ability. and it makes her tedious to watch as a viewer. the boys seem personable.

all in all the social interactions feel a little too real to be an escape into a fantasy world about ducks. if that's what the kids today want... then cool. but i dont know if it is a mark of timeless storytelling.

webby's voice is just annoying really. she's always 300%. when is she ever not in a state of mania?

Pretty much, I know the term edgy gets laughed at but some shows need that edge to make an impact. This reboot is too safe, the mummy society was like “sup” when they debuted. That may have been fine in the 90’s but it’s a stale concept today.

Issue 3 being story timed here:

Thanks

where's duckworth

youtube.com/watch?v=HfNGGgYtgEk

I dont know if i miss him... but his role is missed.

Beakley is a strong independent maid that don't need no butler.

I would, if "issues" weren't just

>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WHY IS THERE A FUCKING ROASTIE IN MUH CHILDREN'S CARTOON

I guess. his role was fundamentally different.
the way that they portray 'the help' role is telling of the current zeitgeist.

they could've easily added him in as a friend & rival to Beakley
like, maybe they were in rival intelligence organizations. something like RAF intel vs MI5

Maybe beakly will get taken on a mission and replaced by duckworth... and it will leave this tension that the audience wonders if he is MI5 or just a hired helper...

oh, and i just recalled. sometimes it is nice to have a contrast point in the story. someone that is normal so you can see the zainy people as truly obscure rather than the norm of 'quirky'

>completely mischaracterising scrooge

Most of Rosa's biography of him wasn't even out back then, so if they went by anything, it was Barks and Italian artists. He's more goofy in Italian stuff and has loads of secretly soft moments in Barks. So, not that wrong.

>Child actors
Better than the voices of 30 year olds coming out of children characters.

>It's a terrible show. Who else doesn't care about it anymore?

Same, OP. Every episode was a fucking grind to get through. I finally decided to drop it midway through the Toth-Ra episode and I'm a much happier person for it.

Terrible animation for a disney cartoon
Terrible character design for a cartoon based of some classic disney characters
Background color and localization are flat and boring.
Almost all characters have new personalities and don't stand out well: Webby is annoying, the triples are incompetent, Gyro is a villain...
New characters are boring: Mark Beaks try hard rich boi non specular, henchmen new level of incompetent...
Episodes are mostly focused on the children especially Webby

It's loud and obnoxious. Every character is the "quirky" character. Scrooge is barely a presence. The animation is stiff and generic.

Everyone is now a one-note character with not much to them other than their main quirk. Everything about these characters feels like it was pulled straight from TV Tropes.
Everything about the show, from the writing to the animation & art design, feels extremely basic and safe. Scrooge is a non-entity in too many episodes and they choose to focus on the obnoxious kids instead. Group dynamic is completely ruined by having one of the kids be infinitely more competent than the others, but you can't complain about this because otherwise you're a mysogynist according to Sup Forumsmblr.
You could say it's just experiencing a slow start and that it might get better later on, which is fair, but this show has done nothing to leave a lasting impression so far. It's a drag to get through most episodes because they're just not that interesting, and Disney doesn't give a shit either with the show already being on a hiatus just so they can air a snow-related episode as a winter special. Nothing about this show or its future looks great.

>All these "muh quality" post

Please. If there was any character that was waifuable or enough shipping fuel, Sup Forums would love this show regardless of its quality

The episodes should be twice as long. Ten minutes should go to extrapolating the script, spreading it out and letting things bake properly. Ten minutes should just be Donald doing crazy shit.

It literally makes Quack Pack a better show, Quack pack of all fucking things

Every time writers try to make Huey Dewey and Louie "hip and fresh" it's a total fucking disaster.

I actually forgot this was still going. Watched the first four or five episodes as they came out then just kinda forgot it existed. Don't see Sup Forums talk about it much anymore either.

Sup Forums talks about it whenever a new episode comes out. There just isn't much to discuss right now since there's no new episodes till December

They went on one adventure, all the episodes released there was only a single adventure in the whole bunch.

The rest are Webby doing things around town and being some weird unexplained superspy that impresses random people. Scrooge did not even appear in at least 4 episodes.

The original show started out with a 4 parter story arc involving Scrooge going around the world to uncover some ancient treasure in a hidden temple.

It began in a high note

Shut up and post sexy bitches

You cared enough to make this thread.

I watched the first episode and it was decent but nothing to write home about. The second episode wasn't really entertaining and that's where I stopped watching.

I'll probably wait until Season 1 finishes airing to watch the rest of it.

But the episodes they do have, in a series built on globetrotting adventures. Every commercial mentions it, the characters mention it, and the intro mentions it.

Then what we see are the kids going to Chuck-e-Cheese, the kids roaming around an abandoned subway, the kids wandering around an ordinary tech company for an afternoon, kids wandering around a casino for an afternoon (this one had an offscreen adventure just to make it more frustrating) and the kids wandering through town avoiding beagle bros.

The pyramid episode might as well have been the same level of tame, nothing special happening non-event as the rest

The show is trying too damn hard to recreate the Dipper/Mable situation than the Ducktales situation.

I'm assuming Beakley is the Brock Sampson type spy assigned to Scrooge.

I would all of those except bottom centre.

>that loli

Fag.

Hah. Those preview pics that show Dewey being a jerk to Webby in the upcoming snow episode.

I bet she'll get even with him at the end, and then it will be back to
>REEEEEEEEEEE
>WEBBYYYYYY

That is a goddamned lie and you take that back.

ITT: Autistic bitching

Must be the reason why autists keep obsessively bitching about pink nephew. They self-insert into her.

Why is Webby a Mable/Louise clone?

Success of Gravity Falls was the main reason Disney decided to bring back Ducktales. They wanted another mystery/adventure type of series with children leads to replace Gravity Falls and they looked to Ducktales as the best possible replacement.

So Webby IS the reason the reboot sucks. To much of it is focused on her.

I don't get it. She's a shy girl, yet she's also extremely over excited about everything, even to people she just met. She's a sensible person, but she also isn't. She's a shut-in who doesn't know anything, but she knows pretty much everything about spy shit. Her character doesn't even make sense, they're just fucking around with her.

>Nobody liked Webby even in the original
>to the point where the fucking "sequel" series Quack Pack didn't bring Webby back in any way
>Any time to this day the nephews are used in whatever media, Webby is no where to be seen
>"Let's make the reboot focus on Webby, everyone loves her, right?"

>Young kids living with their strange and overly greedy elderly uncle getting into trouble and solving mysteries involving ghosts and monsters each week.
>Gave Webby a journal and grappling hook
>weird mysterious magic villain in the shadows

Yea they basically made duck gravity falls

There's nothing to "get", she's just a shitty character with shitty writing. People who don't see this are either "REEEEEE WOMEN" Sup Forumsmblrfags or fans in denial.
I don't want to hate this show and I don't like hating this show. I thought it was going to be pretty good back when the trailers came out but it's just disappointing on so many levels.

Webby bullshit aside, I was promised a series about world spanning adventures in castles and dungeons. Instead we get kids running around Duckberg and Scrooge not even appearing in majority of the episodes.

I gotta admit, I've been pretty let down by this show so far. I was really excited in the beginning, because it seemed so good, but it just hasn't gone anywhere interesting after the first episode. Except for the casino one, that was pretty good too.

My problem isn't with the lack of adventures, it's that a lot of the adventuring doesn't feel... clever. Like, they go on adventures (they do, it's not just one-adventure-and-webby show), but the adventure problems are solved by what basically amounts to either dumb luck or doing the most obvious thing. There's no feeling of "How's the cast going to get out of this one" about it. And that's friggin' essential!

...Still beats the original show though. By a mile.

>Still beats the original show though. By a mile.
Does it, though?

>>to the point where the fucking "sequel" series Quack Pack didn't bring Webby back in any way

Quack Pack is not even a sequel to ducktales, why everybody bring them always together? Quack Pack was closer to thes classic shorts then the Ducktales cartoon or comics.

I never watched the original show until recently, so no nostalgia, and I prefer it over the reboot, personally.

One can tell that this thread is made with the same boring bait posts from the same boring anons to keep this thread alive just like all the other ones before.

Yeah. I agree. needs more clever alignment and pacing. maybe something that takes them to a jungle or to a place that has new people and customs they have to relate and understand.

the underground rolly people were just facsimile ducks with no depth. I wish they would have explored their world more and helped them out instead of 'booping' just before they said peace.

still better than the original. what a piece of insipid dogshit.

to continue...
like if the underground duck clones were causing issues with scrooge's underground mining/fracking/hyperloop... and they found a way to be business partners and help each other out instead of bulldozing through their homes... something trivial and simple like that...
magica despell could have been all up in that... making for chaos. but ... no... it was a glimpse in a mirror to what could have been

honestly, it looks like a typical modern cartoon. not sure why anyone is surprised. if you expect something like we used to get in the 90s then you're fucking deluded. those days of good, non shitty flash animation style are gone for good and NEVER coming back. animation in the US is dead.

>All these people who prefer the reboot to the original series

where can i watch/download it

>animation in the US is dead.
There's no money to be made in American tv animation anymore. And let's be clear; It was always about the money.

And look, it's this samefaggot trying to claim bullshit again.

Pretty much. After the near constant threads before the hiatus, there wasn't much left to talk about, including the opinions of those who didn't like it. It's just the same old. But it's not like a boring hate circle jerk thread is nothing new, especially on slow days.

kimcartoon.me

I genuinely can't tell if they're purposefully making Della and Scrooge cunts or not.

>Thinking it's shit right out the door insert any name to anything.

You faggots just hate fun and will never be satisfied.

>talk about how a remake should have more fun adventure like the original
>"That means you hate fun!"
K.

its only tolerable as long as theres more episodes of this sexy ass thang

I don't care about it anymore, shit never went anywhere.
But at least we could salvage something out of it.
;)

...

Nu-DuckTales had the quickest hype-to-hate procession that I've ever seen.

Not Samurai Jack?

Okay, maybe the second quickest.

That only was the 5th season. And even then, most of the hate came from Tumblr, which doesn't count.

No, opinions of the fifth season of Samurai Jack is fairly split.

>most of the hate came from Tumblr
Did you not see how many Sup Forums anons spoke of Genndy like a god that saved western animation and then cursed his name a few weeks later?
