They were wrong about the last British and American elections and were wrong about Brexit. Even if the results haven't been tampered with (which they obviously have) polls seem a very inaccurate way of predicting elections.

So when someone asks you who you're voting for, you say "they're both kinda assholes" or "I'm voting for the one which won't cause someone overhearing this to slash my tires". In elections where it is clear who will win polls tend to be more accurate, but in elections as close as these and as close as Romney and Obama you might as well ignore the polls.
