I just finished watching this film and I have a couple questions.
Who is this character? She just appears out of nowhere. Why is she in this film? Where did she come from? Why does she have powers? Whats her motivation? Her backstory? How does she relate to the protagonists? None of this is stated anywhere in the film.
Dylan Peterson
So? Isn't the goal of pop cinema to be meme-orable? Her music is great and she is badass.

Make a bait post, get low quality responses.

>Ask legit questions about a movie >Bait
Isaac Foster
But you don't want answers. You have an opinion on a film and you want to share it for the angry responses it might bring and/or the circle jerking you will take part in.
Kevin Torres
This is a good thread
Ryder Collins
That's Black Widow, user. I would have expected an X-Men fan to recognize straight away.
Xavier Garcia
It was nice music.
Blake Brooks
I dunno. I feel like user was making a valid point
Robert Barnes
Shows how much you know! Black Widow was the leader of the Justice League far longer than she was ever an X-Man. Not bad for an Inhuman.
Lincoln Evans
>legit questions >asking about the origin on a capeshit origin movie

Wyatt Hill
Shh. You're not allowed to point that out even though it's a valid criticism and one of the lesser issues with BvS.
Ok, so this woman shows up, little bit of intro but then starts kicking the bad guy in at the end. But at this stage, we don't know what the stakes are. Is she in danger? What are her powers?
She then spends the battle pretty much keeping up with Superman, but even if you know about Wonder Woman, you still don't know what the powers and limitations of this particular incarnation is.
So now you don't know if you should care about a full third of the heroes. That's an issue.
Jack Perez
user, nobody cares.
Carson Baker
Normally I wouldn’t dignify this sop to the cultural Marxist ideal of anticuktural diversity with a response, but it is an opportunity to denounce the “””(((character)))””” played by this anorexic excuse for an (((“””actress”””))) with the proper formatting.
Gabriel Hernandez
>Who is this character? She just appears out of nowhere. Why is she in this film? Where did she come from? Why does she have powers? Whats her motivation? Her backstory? How does she relate to the protagonists? None of this is stated anywhere in the film. You would hate both blade runner films.
Nathaniel Hughes
>a full third of the heroes. When you're calling one out of three "a full third" you're clearly over-emphasizing. And you'll likely respond that one in three is a third as if I ever claimed it wasn't.
As I said above, you would dislike movies like Blade Runner and 2049 if you need every character to have a back story.
Thomas Morris
You shouldn't be watching the movie if you don't know who the fucking characters are prior to watching it. >hur HURRRRRRRR t-then that's bad writing!!! You should have the characters explained to you Nah. Tough shit faggot. Read comics if you're going to watch a comic related movie
Jason Anderson
tbf this picture is from BvS and the thread seems to be as well.
Jackson Carter
>Read comics if you're going to watch a comic related movie Not even necessary. Diana is fine in BvS as is, no comic or cultural knowledge necessary.
Bentley Powell
True. But if you're THAT much of a sheltered normie that the three biggest comic characters aren't common knowledge to you then reading helps
Jonathan Collins
>Needing to do homework before watching a movie
The absolute state of Snyderfags.
Andrew Thompson
This is from BvS you tard.
Benjamin Bell
Not a Snyder fag autist. Before any comic book movie I'll read some related books just to see where the movie differs from the original plot. What kind of fucking freak hasn't heard of batman, superman or wonder woman before? Their looks are iconic and even starving children in Africa coulda identify these characters
Parker Kelly
>Not even necessary. Diana is fine in BvS as is, no comic or cultural knowledge necessary.
Dylan Gray
Assuming your audience already knows something is bad writing. None of the questions in the OP are answered in BvS. It’s bad writing.
You know what movie did it right? Civil War with Black Panther.
Using only the information the movie gives, answer OP’s questions.
Nicholas Rivera
>Who is this character?
It's in the title
>It just appears out of nowhere. Why is it in this film? Where did it come from? Why does it have powers? Whats its motivation? Its backstory?
It's an alien weapon meant to destroy mankind, but received amnesia.
>How does it relate to the protagonists?
It's the protagonist's pet, whom he tried to hide for fear of being taken away.
>None of this is stated anywhere in the film
The things you think weren't stated either were or weren't relevant to the narrative being told. Try again.
Carson Wilson
>Diana is fine in BvS as is
No she's not. She brings nothing to the film in anyway, and is just a pointless teaser for JL.
Charles Lewis
>Using only the information the movie gives, answer OP’s questions. My very point has been that you don't have to. Not every character needs to be explained. Which is why I very spicifically said you would not like the Blade Runner films.
Wondy is fine. You DO NOT NEED to know anymore about her for that character to work in BvS. It's the same level of complaint as "Aquaman and Flash needed solo films before Justice League."
Why is the fat fuck who bank rolls the Oceans Eleven team rich? Why did he have the money to own casinos? Why Is the asian guy so good at gymnastics? Why didn't we see him train? Why is Matt Damon good at lifting? Did his father actually teach him? We don't even find out who his mom is until the second movie.
Samuel Gutierrez
>She brings nothing to the film in anyway This is where the goalpost shifted.
Her being superfluous doesn't mean the character doesn't work. You just want to shit on BvS and you've chosen wondy to do it. You don't know anything about film and you're sitting on Sup Forums attempting to discuss it as if your true feelings aren't just "LOL fuck the DCEU amirite xD"
Adrian Scott
>This mysterious character who shows up at the end to help defeat the bad guy doesn’t need to be explained at all
Snyderfags, everyone. BvS isn’t Blade Runner, it isn’t Ocean’s Eleven, it’s nothing but a shitty capeshit film that can’t even properly explain its characters.
Jack Jackson
>Who is this character? She just appears out of nowhere. Diana Prince, a well educated lady of high society
>Why is she in this film? Where did she come from? Because she is one of the hidden meta humans Luthor has been stalking for a while, alongside the fish man, robot man and fast man
>Why does she have powers? She's an ancient, probably inmortal being, born long before Bruce and with ties to magical/otherworld weapons and beings
>Whats her motivation? To remain hidden from the modern world, and stop Lex from revealing her real identity
>Her backstory? She fought in WWI from the allies, saw the horrors mankind was capable of, because jaded because of that and hid herself from the world
>How does she relate to the protagonists? She still believes in saving innocent people and using her powers to stop threats from another worlds, so even when she wanted to fade away, she fights besides Batman and Superman to kill Doomsday
Now shup up you stupid autist
Parker Powell
What does she bring to the film? How does she enchance the plot?
Sebastian Howard
That isn't the argument. Nobody is talking about this.
Christopher Smith
Holy shit what a shitty 2 dimensional character, barely better than Ego, this one was literally bawahahaha evil. Easily the worst MCU villain this year.
Nolan Gonzalez
True but had some Sexy hips
Parker Hall
All those things apply to wonder woman as well , try again
David Baker
>What does she bring to the film? How does she enchance the plot? You apparently don't know what the world superfluous means. Clearly you're worth replying to any further.
As user, , said nobody is talking about that. And it's why I mentioned her being superfluous being beside the point (this is where the goalpost shifted").
Liam Foster
She is the point of the whole film, in the meantime Clark and Bruce are so busy fighting each other because of Lex's machinations, she is there to show that "mankind is still good", and that even with all the baggage, the heroes of this universe can put aside all their bullshit to save the world from evil, that's why WW is the only part of the film that feels like a superhero movie, the "dawn of justice" as the long night sets, instead of being another part of the grim examination of humanity vs godhood Bruce, Lex and Clark are tangled on
Asher Sullivan
OP, you are retarded, BvS was released years ago and we got 2 movies with wonder woman after that.
Tyler Robinson
I just finished watching this film and I have a couple questions.
Who is this character? She just appears out of nowhere. Why is she in this film? Where did she come from? Why he's an avengers if he don't have powers? Whats his motivation? His backstory? How does he relate to the protagonists? Why he's so gay?So useless? None of this is stated anywhere in the film.
Joshua Hall
But I dont want to watch another movie to understand a single chapter in a long cinematic saga! I only watched Harry Potter 4, The force awakens and the 2 towers and I think all those franchises are shit too!
Gavin Barnes

Kayden Wilson
Fresh pasta.
Elijah Reyes
All of what I said was shown in camera and stated by the dialogue in the movie, kindly go fuck yourself
Chase Jones
Franchise movies don't, are you to retarded to understand the concept of "chapter 2 of 5"? Do you start reading a book in the middle and complain about it, too?
Hudson Mitchell
while I agree with you I'm not sure why you replied to my. Kindly go fuck yourself. But nice taste in movies and good eye.
Brody Lewis
OP, pls. If you want a character who is actually superfluous, look no further than A2 from Nier: Automata. If anything, her presence ultimately weakens the narrative.
Ryder Rogers
Op can't even keep up with BvS' more simple elements and you want him to go thru Nier?
