INTRUDER ALERT
RED SPY IS IN THE BASE

This scene was dark as fuck for a Pixar movie.

I remember when I first saw this movie and how uncomfortably quiet the theater was.

Absolutely chilling. The whole movie is perfect, really.

>Gamma jack wins & the fucking gadget manlet just upgrades it & kills him off

I'd like to think he survived somehow. His power was through the roof.

>Gamma Jack's superpower was the ability to create controlled bursts of radiation, from focused burns to complete disintegration. Easily recognized by his wave-like hairstyle, he was a favorite of the ladies (his original name being Handsome Jack) and was prone to megalomaniacal impulses, believing Supers to be a "superior race." He chose chose to save attractive women over and above other innocents and had a particular issue with "killing" female supervillains he was attracted to, but always ended up doing so anyway. These impulses and traits caused the NSA great concern, putting him under close "A Level" monitoring as a result. He was also a picky eater.

>The Operation Kronos database assigned him a threat rating of 7.9, the third highest after Mr. Incredible (9.1) and Meta Man (9.6). Gamma Jack did manage to destroy the fifth version of the Omnidroid during the training sessions for Operation Kronos, but he was promptly killed by its successor model, the Omnidroid 6.

>It appears as though the NSA were deeply concerned that Gamma Jack would have ended up becoming a supervillain, due to his unstable and malicious nature (possibly becoming the first Super to do so)

as good as this was, the rendering looks a bit dated. When was it that CGI animation sort of plateaus? 2010?

why is mr incredible at such a high power level?
Is it latent fanboyism from Syndrome?

No clue, but Gamma jack could have just disintegrated the entire island or made a hole so deep the robot wouldn't be able to get back out of it if I'm reading his powers right. He could have triggered the volcano & blown the place to kingdoom come if he wanted to, but maybe he's not as fast as mr. incredible? Glass canons never last long. The fact Meta Man was killed in a "cape malfunction" is surprising too. I don't think a plane turbine would kill mr. incredible either.

>I don't think a plane turbine would kill mr. incredible either.
I think this is the ticket. Mr. Incredible's greatest strenght is not his, well, strength but his invulnerability. In some extra stuff on the dvd you can see some storyboards for a story about when he and elastigirl move into the neighbourhood and he, not paying attention, chops himself in the hand with a meat cleaver.
Only for it to bend perfectly around his fingers.
He is so tough that he cant even hurt himself.

Moment taken can I go back to waifu posting?

>No clue, but Gamma jack could have just disintegrated the entire island or made a hole so deep
He can disintegrate people. Maybe he can disintegrate smallish objects like lawnmowers or sofas. It does not follow that he's Dr Manhattan.
If he were capable of disintegrating islands Syndrome would have never have fucked with him in the first place.
You've been watching too much DBZ.

>not paying attention, chops himself in the hand with a meat cleaver.
>Only for it to bend perfectly around his fingers.

That's fantastic. I wish it was animated. Meta man too was basically superman, so he probably survived. What did syndrome plan to use to kill mr. incredible with anyway? all he did was threaten to kill his family, but mr. incredible himself is nigh invulnerable.

If your life's on the line & you go full output then it's possible. Frozone did some crazy shit with his ice, I wouldn't be surprised if it's comparable.

>was prone to megalomaniacal impulses

My headcanon was that entire fight being him going more & more insane with his powers & it ending with him having a "mental meltdown". fits his radiation theme well if you ask me. All those fights are to the death though, so we can only speculate since Pixar would never animate them.

The last bit always triggered claustrophobia for me.

I want I2 to be good but I'm afraid. I'm afraid the baby will ruin the movie and the big bad won't be as good.

Fuck, let it be Kung Fu Panda 2 pls (but not 3).

At least we get Elastigirl and Violet in modern 3D hotness.

>likes hot female villains
was he /ourguy/?

You know who was pretty excited about Vi and Helen's imminent return.

Who?!
Some sort of. . . Madman?

>What did syndrome plan to use to kill mr. incredible with anyway?
The bot was thougher than him (survived the lava). The plan was either to wear him out (the maybe blowing him up with a remote controlled bomb) or there was a few times when the bot tried to pierce or cut him up.

It is the Wonder Woman dilemma I guess. She can go toe to toe with Superman level enemies but has to block bullets. Maybe Mr. Incredible is just incredibly (pun intended) resistant to blunt force trauma, but special sharp enough objects, guns and bombs can kill him (eventually).

>At least we get Elastigirl and Violet in modern 3D hotness.

they're going to look awful, all disney women have looked extremlely plasticky and generic for ages now

Should have atleast beaten 2 iterations of the robot before being defeated.

>Meta Man
>superpowers included flight, super strength, x-ray vision, magnetic manipulation, sonic screaming, teleportation, partial invisibility and communication with aquatic mammals
>killed by an elevator

That's a huge ass monitor. Imagine the porn sessions

Aunt Cass was basically a thinner Helen and she was a fine piece of ass.

Maybe it was a kryptonite elevator.

What's your thoughts on the sequel will it suck

Probably, way too many years apart and it didn't help that cars 3 sucked balls.

A RED SPY IS IN THE BASE?!

it's safe, Brad Bird is a based director. He never did any bad movie. Plus Coco was good, Pixar is on good streak again.

He had all the usual Superman powers... except Invulnerability. Meta Man was only human in that regards. Phenomenal cosmic powers but could be taken down with a handgun

I remember that I was shown that animated storyboard in my animation class. That was originally gonna be the intro to the movie rather than what we got but was changed when they changed itself why Mr. Incredible gave up the Super life.

In the same storyboard, originally Syndrome would have already be around at that time and attempted to harm Violet at their house when she was just a baby. That's what prompts Mr. Incredible and Elasti Girl to give uo being Supers and go under protection.

They changed it because they felt the Syndrome reveal'd have been way stronger if placed later into the movie.

Tomorrowland

I really wish him to return as an antagonist.

Gross

I feel like it's being made a bit too late, by about 15 years.

live action,he's good with animation.

>He chose chose to save attractive women over and above other innocents and had a particular issue with "killing" female supervillains he was attracted to, but always ended up doing so anyway.

Where did this come from? It's not in his file.

The DVD release had in-character interviews with some of the supers in addition to their files.

Oh neat, I didn't know that. Just listened to it on Youtube.

>If you've got Tubby Joe Schmo over there with a laser to his head, y'know, he might have to wait a little while.

Oh, Gamma Jack.

Part because Buddy was obsessed without Bob, and part because Bob is insanely resourceful.

Tomorrowland was weird, because it barely felt like there was even a movie to make. I think Brad Bird just really wanted to make a theme park.

Pretty much, all Bob had was strength/toughness but he wasn't 'Hurr Mr Incredible Smash!' he's comes up with a lot of good plans on the fly.

And Syndrome was still his biggest fan

I wonder how the sequel will top that scene. Will they include an actual on-screen holocaust?

Extremely underrated.

Incredibles in general toed the PG-13 line. Not many PG movies feature the hero taking a hostage and threatening to kill her. I rewatched the movie with some friends recently and we were scratching out heads trying to find out how a kid would find the first 25 minutes of the movie entertaining when it's all about Bob's midlife crisis.

dunno,i find the scene with old lady hilarious

Honestly Pixar should make an actual PG-13 movie; imagine what they could do with that rating. Don't bring up "muh family-friendly image" since Disney already has the Pirates movies.

Never noticed that when Helen called his work they said he had been fired about two months ago. Bob got fit quick.

Possibly one of the worst movies I've seen.

>Not many PG movies feature the hero taking a hostage and threatening to kill her
I don't member diss.

Bob manages to grab Mirage and threatens to killer her if Syndrome doesn't let her go. Syndrome calls his bluff and he ends up releasing her.

Huh, I never thought of that. I watched Incredibles when I was 11, so nothing in it really went over my head, but I guess I can see how a smaller child might not appreciate all of that.

It was a good example of the no kill rule, superheros got principles. Fuck edgy teenagers and their hate boner for human rights.

There was even the subplot where Helen thinks Bob is having an affair. It was pretty adult for a PG movie.

>This scene was dark as fuck for a Pixar movie.

This ain't got nothing going on the airplane scene.

edna's rant about capes was played for laughs.

but damn it was grim.

I liked it

it was an excellent show down between hero and edgy - Syndrome literally dares Bob to cross the line

>Remember the bad guys from your saturday morning cartoons?
>These guys are not like that; they will kill you if they get the chance
>Do not give them that chance

Fuck, Dash and Violet had to grow up fast

Ran fast and died a virgin

the entire intro with the guy who tried to sudoku himself fucked my little brother up hard.

>He chose chose to save attractive women over and above other innocents and had a particular issue with "killing" female supervillains he was attracted to, but always ended up doing so anyway.

Absolutely based

>Chad physique
>Singled out attractive women
>Was likely a supporter of eugenics
>Also disliked inferior beings
>Could literally disintegrate things to his will
>Was able to put his bias aside and kill opponents because they were dangerous
What a guy.

That score straight out of a James Bond villain scene.

Does anyone feel the Incredibles may have benefited from a more comicesque artstyle rather than Pixar's usual aesthetic? Something with dark solid black shadows?

She was a noticeably compassionate, animal-loving teenager who was crushed/hacked to death by a jet turbine. When she gets sucked in you hear the crunching sound of her body being pulverized.

But I'll be damned if I didn't laugh along with the entire theater when I first saw it.

Don't forget

>talks about having to jog around the block to shake off his boner after encountering hot female villains

Think about how Edna felt about that. She was the one who designed the cape that got that poor girl killed.

Not really. Beats one, Syndrome has data on his radition powers and upgrades the robots arnour to be unaffected

>Edna can't bring herself to attend the funeral... not that there'd be an open casket, anyway

It was actually because they felt Syndrome was good enough to be the main bad guy.
Interestingly, the Syndrome/Violet scene is near identical to the Syndrome/Jackjack scene at the end of the film

The DVD is a lore goldmine.
I personally love the cancelled cartoon with Bob and Frozone commenting over it how shit it is

The sequel could completely suck, but it would be worth it to get another one of those on the DVD.

>AND THAT RABBIT IS GETTING ON MY LAST NERVE. DID YOU OKAY THE RABBIT??
>I DONT KNOW WHERE THEY GOT THE RABBIT. I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RABBIT
>This cartoon is a blight on my otherwise spotless endorsement record. Youd better hope this never sees the light of day

Best Milf Bar None!

>THEY MADE ME A WHITE GUY!
>You're Tan'ish
I still can't believe that was included.

Gave me a fetish for sticky inflating black balls.

Yeah I was 6 when the movie came out and the whole kronos reveal scene didn't really hit me when I saw it I waa like damn who are these people what are these robots. but like re watching when I got older iI'm like wow they were all taken out one by one and the robot kept on getting hrder better faster and stronger because of this

Im pretty sure it was improvd, and its so good

It's subtle, but while it's common to us, Mister Incredible's super durability is SUPER rare among incredibles's super population. He was one of like two or three who could laugh off bullets and walls like that.

There's a reason Syndrome saved him for so late in the game, I think, because of the sheer level of work that went into making an Omnidroid that Bob couldn't just rip apart like paper.

I was thinking last night in my bed about the gazerbeam scene and it did'nt make much sense to me.
How did he know the password and why did he die in the cave like that and not run away.
Super heroes should have atleast some stamina to make crazy swims like that. But w/e
love the movie still.

>ultimate invincible body
>reunites with family after he thought they all died
>I can't lose you
>I'm not THAT strong
Damn.......................

I think that bit him in the ass in the end since, imo, that's the exact second Mirage loses any loyalty she had towards Syndrome.

Oh yeah.

Mirage has the hots for Bob and when Syndrome reveals he doesn't give a shit about her that's enough to flip her.

it was a different time

>She's just a kid... no older than my daughter.

Would’ve been a nice touch if we got one hero who managed to terminate 2 drones in a row and then have both the hero and the 3rd drone terminated at the same time.

Probably managed to hide away long enough to find out stuff before getting attacked again and finally succumbing to his wounds.

He's listed as having max indestructibility, so that makes sense.

youtube.com/watch?v=d73WtJlko9E

>yfw Incredibles 2 starts a new wave of Helen porn

>Bob goes from a waist size of 48 to 36 in two months
>meanwhile, my waist only went down an inch this month
IT'S NOT FAIR

Is Gamma Jack /ourguy/?

Super metabolism.

Are you lifting trains?

Have you tried lifting train carts?

I'm positive it was anything BUT silent when she went into the jet engine.

>Thunderhead
>adopted single father of 5 children. Raising them with the help of his roommate Scott.
Gays? In MY 2004?

The Omnidroid was great. Simple but elegant and smart.
>can’t reach its controller but see Bob close it
>shoots its claw arm at him and grips it to trap him in it
I love it

I mean beyond the hots thing (Mirage is into him but I don't think she'd make a move after seeing how devoted Mr. Incredible is to his family and the fact that he has 2 kids), she sees Mr. Incredible genuinely cares about his family and is DESPERATE to save them.

That's already winning her over, and when Syndrome shows that when Mr. Incredible is in the picture, Syndrome literally does not give a shit about Mirage beyond a tool to hurt Mr. Incredible with (or dare him to go over the line), she realizes "holy shit this guy is nuts"
