>Hammer goes on to describe a couple of scenes from the script he wishes he could have seen realised, including a destructive battle between Superman and Wonder Woman .

>Superman and Wonder Woman had the most brutal fight with each other that you’ve ever seen. It would be like when if two superheroes actually fight, like they destroy multiple cities, like by accident, because they don’t even see anything else other than trying to destroy the person in front of them, and it was incredible. I mean at one point they destroy an aircraft carrier by accident!

wow sounds great and not exactly what people despised about Man of Steel

> it's another "boomer with a hard on for superhero fights destroying major cities imagines heroic characters acting selfish and violent towards one another" episode.

>heroes fighting heroes
No thanks

I don't see how he can say "destroy multiple cities" and then say "they even destroy an aircraft carrier!" like it's more impressive than multiple cities being levelled.

Also Source.

>some buildings get destroyed in Man of Steel when Clark fights a villain
>fucking destroyed the city holy shit some hero amirite
>Mortal had a scene in which two heroes destroy multiple cities BY ACCIDENT
>holy shit fucking badass based Miller

Why are Diana and Clark fighting? Is she on her period?

Wouldn't that kill a shitload of people and thus make Superman no longer a sympathetic character? Anyway lots of mindless destruction of buildings no longer entertains me.

All those buildings would have been empty. Pinky swear.

He's being controlled by Maxwell Lord.

>some buildings

Didn't Clark and Zod level like half the fucking city? And then you have Superman deliberately smashing Zod and company into structures despite what Snyderdrones say.

Doesn't mean Miller's take doesn't sound like shit but I bet the action would've been spectacular to watch, unlike Snyder's borefests.

>superman gets punched through buildings in every fucking cartoon and comic book he has ever been in
>when snyder does it its dark and edgy

kys

(not you op)

No, that was the world engine

The World Engine already did more damage and killed more people before Supes could stop it at the other side of the world.

>Mortal had a scene in which two heroes destroy multiple cities BY ACCIDENT

I read the script. Hammer is exaggerating. The level of destruction is roughly the same as in MAN OF STEEL.

I read the script and, at worst, they bust a skyscraper or two and maybe damage the moon a bit.
Armie Hammer is exaggerating because he wants it to get picked up so he can work again.

>Supes literally punches Darkseid through three buildings in JL animated
"this is the true superman"
>Supes gets thrown through multiple buildings by Zod in MoS
"wtf superman is literally destroying the city"

This is a legit page from a Superman comic showing the destruction that Superman causes to Metropolis. From like fifteen years ago. Muh destruction porn, indeed.

I know it sounds retarded but would Zach be interested to be part of the DCEU?

he already kinda is

>It would be like when if two superheroes actually fight, like they destroy multiple cities, like by accident,
Murderman and Wonder Killer, NICE! this is exactly what I want from my superheroes, especially Wonder Woman.

The REAL problem, hidden beneath everyone's whining about what Superman did or didn't do, is that this part of the narrative does not make logical sense.

If the World Machine needs both parts and Supes destroying just one of them immediately stops the gravity beam, then why the fuck even fight the one that's in the middle of the ocean not harming anyone? Why not attack the one that's in Metropolis, where all the people who need to be saved are?

Oh that's fine then.

I don't remember specifically but I think Supes said "gravity" would continue to expand if he doesn't stop the engine.

Their plan is to drop Clark's ship onto Zod's ship, if Superman desotrys Zod's ship, the phantom drive wont be activated and wont suck everyone back into the Phantom Zone. So he cant destroy Zod's ship to stop the terraforming, he has to destroy the actual Word Engine.

Here's a description of the fight. For context, they are Maxwell Lord's abandoned corporate headquarters.

>At Lord's lair, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman face down Lord. He tells them that they made defeating the OMACs look easy. Wonder Woman orders him to turn it off. Max tells her that he won't, and doesn't think he could, even if he wanted to, that they're past that point. His nose is still bleeding.

>Wonder Woman tells him that they will stop him, no matter what he throws at them, and calls him "Jonah". Max is stunned, and begins screaming at her that she doesn't have the right to use that name. He screams that Jonah Wilkes is dead, and that there's only Max Lord now. His nose is pouring blood, and he can barely keep his thoughts straight. He starts to calm down, and reassures he's "in".

>The heroes are confused. Max smiles, and Wonder Woman is hit from behind by a devastating blow that smashes her face first into a wall. She sinks to her knees and turns to see Superman. Transformed. His face twisted, DARK. His eyes filled with RAGE. Batman asks Clark what he's doing... and Wonder Woman instantly realizes he is being mind-controlled by Lord.

>Max tells her that he's making Superman see what he wants him to see, and know what he wants him to know, and that right now, Superman thinks that Lois Lane has been tortured and murdered, and Superman thinks Wonder Woman did it. Superman is becoming animalistic. He advances on Wonder Woman. Talia pleads for Max to stop. Max smiles.

>Superman grabs Wonder Woman, lifts her over his head, and throws her through the floor into the lower level. Superman descends toward her, and is ready to strike her again when Batman lands on his back, with high voltage electrical cables, which he thrusts into the side of Superman's head, sending 100,000 volts of electricity through Superman's brain. The lights die. When the power comes back on, Superman is smoldering, and pissed off at Batman, glaring with dead eyes. Superman backhands Batman into the upper level and goes after Wonder Woman again. She slams her bracelets against the sides of Superman's head, and the concussion wave from this buckles support girders and creates debris. She kicks Superman in his midsection, sending him across the room.

>She pleads for Superman to fight to regain control, but he can't hear her, and unleashes a blast of heat vision. Diana dodges the blast, gets behind him, and gives him a kidney punch. Superman drops to his knees. She brings out her lasso and tries to bind Superman with it. Superman grabs an end of the lasso, and slings her overhead, and then down through the floor.

>Wonder Woman uses her tiara, which slices his neck, causing him to let go of the lasso. Wonder Woman waits for Superman to attack. When he doesn't, she rises through the hole in the ceiling, where Superman hurls one of Max's muscle cars at her. This drives her out of the building and out over Manhattan, and over the street.

>Wonder Woman managers to stop her fall, turns the car in front of her, and uses it to shield pedestrians from the debris. She then rips the engine block out of the car, rockets up the side of the building, and slams it into Superman's face. Max smiles as they square off again. They fly toward each other, and collide in mid-air. Superman gets his hands around Wonder Woman's neck and blasts through the roof.

>Talia kneels by Batman's lifeless body. Max Lord looks at his handiwork, and says "How am I doing, Jonah?"

ALSO, even if he could destroy Zod's ship and still suck them all back, Zod, Faora, whats his face, and all the other grunts are in the one in Metropolis, so he would have to deal with all of them while trying to destroy the ship. Taking out the one in Metropolis would be infinitely more difficult then just flying to the one with no one there.

>Superman rockets Wonder Woman into the upper atmosphere, and his eyes began to glow red. Wonder Woman deflects the blast into his face, causing him to lose his grip. Wonder Woman grabs Superman by the hair and flings him into the Moon, where he crashes, wiping out the American flag there.

>Wonder Woman watches the moon, knowing Superman will return, and as he blazes toward her, she takes off and rockets toward him. At the last second, she veers upward, dropping her lasso around his neck, yanks him to a dead stop, and coils the lasso around him, pinning his arms. She plants a knee in his back to steady him. Superman gets a hand free, grabs Wonder Woman's wrist, and breaks it. The lasso slips, and Superman hammers her with both fists. She drifts back toward the Earth.

>Superman wraps the lasso around her, then begins to swing it again, and lets go, sending her on a meteoric crash course for the Earth. Wonder Woman turns into a fireball on reentry and crashes into New York Harbor, where she lies lifeless in a deep crater. A green and gold figure emerges from the darkness there. Aquaman. He creates an air bubble around her, then gives her underwater mouth to mouth. She gasps, opens her eyes, and asks him to slow Superman down. Aquaman nods and emits a sonic wave scream, causing all kinds of river creatures to be drawn to him. Two dolphins arrive and carry Wonder Woman away.

>Superman bullets to Earth and slices into the river, landing in the crater at the bottom of the river, searching for Wonder Woman. A wall of hostile sea creatures comes at him. Superman bats them away by the thousands. Aquaman emerges from the cloud of fish, his trident in hand, and slashes Superman across the chest. The river explodes, and Aquaman goes flying into the Woolworth building, then falls toward the streets below. A green net catches him, Green Lantern and J'onn have arrived.

>Aquaman tells them to find Wonder Woman. J'onn scans with his mind and locates her inside Lord's lair. There, a battle-damaged Wonder Woman faces down Max. He tells her that she was the only one he couldn't control. She calls his power insidious. Max is amazed that not even Superman could take her out. Wonder Woman uses the lasso of truth on Lord, and asks him how to turn off Brother Eye. Max asks if they're going to play the truth game, and tells her that the truth is that none of them were there. Lord mentions the names of the children who were killed after being experimented on. She's trying to calm him down, and stop him, but Lord screams that they were not there for Jonah Wilkes.

>The building shakes and trembles, and Superman enters, soaking wet and angry. He flies straight for Wonder Woman, but slams into a green Superman construct created by Green Lantern. Green Superman punches Superman into the street.

>Over Manhattan, Green Superman and Superman duke it out, trading blows in midair. Every time Superman hits Green Superman, Green Superman grows larger. Finally the giant Green Superman is able to grab Superman and squeeze him. Superman spots Green Lantern standing on a nearby ledge and uses a blast of super-breath to collapse the entire side of a building, sending an avalanche of steel and glass toppling onto Green Lantern and breaking his concentration. The Green Superman vanishes.

>In Lord's Lair, Max is fighting the influence of Wonder Woman's lasso. She tells him to stop, and he tells her that it's enough. He tells her that there's only one way to stop him, and that's to kill him. Superman enters, eyes gone black, hardly human now, and starts for Wonder Woman. Someone says "Kal-El", and Superman turns to see his mother, Lara, standing behind him.

this
there's literary hundreds of different villains to pick from, from silly ones to serious ones that would have been amazing to see on screen - but no, Gotta lampoon that shitty Civil War marvel movie, and have heroes fighting heroes forever, because god forbid they could start out with friendship!

>Max tells Wonder Woman that killing him is the only way to get him out of Superman's mind. Superman softens as his mother moves toward him. Max tells Wonder Woman that she won't kill him, because she made a vow never to take a human life. Wonder Woman struggles with herself and pulls the lasso tight around Lord's neck, like a noose. Max tells her he knows how bad she wants to kill him, that he can smell it on her, like perfume.

>Superman is about to embrace his mother, when he stops, realizes it's not her, and charges toward her with a scream of rage. He punches her, sending her body across the floor, revealing it to be the Martian Manhunter, who collapses.

>Lord taunts Wonder Woman, saying that she can't kill him. Wonder Woman turns to see Superman heading right for her. He tackles her from behind, and gets his arms behind her, pulls her up toward the ceiling, tightening the lasso, so that with a tug, she could break Max's neck and kill him. Lord is eerily calm, says again that she knows she can't kill him. She drops the lasso, and looks at the fallen heroes, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and The Martian Manhunter. She's resigned to her death. Superman is ready to kill her.

MAXWELL LORD: Where were you? Where were any of you when I needed you?

>A shadow envelops him. A dark cloak. Batman breaks Lord's neck, and he falls dead, wrapped in Batman's cape like a shroud. The color returns to Superman's eyes and he releases Wonder Woman, who collapses to the floor. She is shocked. Superman descends, confused, and reaches from Diana, but she recoils, and crawls away from him, to the other wounded heroes.

>Didn't we do that already in Man of Steel?
>What's that you fucking nerd? I'm a fucking millionaire you cunt. I don't have time to watch comic book films.

>Wonder Woman managers to stop her fall, turns the car in front of her, and uses it to shield pedestrians from the debris.

Already better than Snyder's Superman.

Stop.

You'll never be able to defend Clark flying over the tanker being slowly tossed at him and exploding no matter how many times you screech.

>it's another "safe space coddled millennial who wants super heroes fights to be nothing but vast dunes with everyone armed with rape whistles" 2hr episode special.

The script for Mortal was shit and I hated the cast they had. But I honestly don't know if it would have been as bad as what we got with Franken League.

Trust me, the same critics that bitched about MoS would've lapped this shit up and asking for seconds as long as they had a YAS QUEEN WW scene in his post-Fury Road career.

>Trust me, the same critics that bitched about MoS would've lapped this shit up and asking for seconds as long as they had a YAS QUEEN WW scene in his post-Fury Road career.

Or maybe a director with actual talent would be better at showing collateral damage and handling the action then the due who directed 300.

Nobody really cared about the collateral damage in Avengers because they showed the team fucking dealing with it and trying to help people. That's all most people want but Snyderfags still try and pretend that's some horrible concession to the normies and fanboys that'll ruin their precious fucking kino.

That's right mouse cuck. Aliens attack New York causing billions of dollars worth of damage with only 5 heroes who were above average human and only 7 people got blistered fingers. Yup, totally plausible.

>Or maybe a director with actual talent would be better at showing collateral damage and handling the action then the due who directed 300.
There's no way you can make two superheroes "destroying multiple cities" in their oblivious and self-centered EPIC FIGHT look better than a villain wrecking several city blocks just to spite the hero.

>The script for Mortal was shit

Nah, it was pretty good.

>Aliens attack New York causing billions of dollars worth of damage with only 5 heroes who were above average human and only 7 people got blistered fingers. Yup, totally plausible.

Because plausibility is the most important part of superhero stories.

MoS isn't any more realistic no matter how many 9/11 references it has. it still has Supes fighting a CGI tentacle space laser platform, you can shove you "real world" argument up your ass and keep it there forever.

>Zod, Faora, whats his face, and all the other grunts are in the one in Metropolis, so he would have to deal with all of them while trying to destroy the ship.

And yet, the army and Prof. Hamilton did not have to face any of them.

And, again, the World Engine stopped when Supes destroyed only ONE of the two component parts, the dialogue saying you have to take out both was proven incorrect by the actions that followed.

So explain to me why Supes couldn't have been the one to throw the Phantom Drive at Zod's ship, which would have accomplished BOTH stopping the World Engine AND sending the criminals back to the Phantom Zone, and would have allowed Professor Hamilton, a known-name character from the source material, from dying in the very first movie in the franchise?

I don't get it,since I was a kid I always remember the fact that every battle Superman had he always destroys buildings during his fights,so the destruction in MoS wasn't a shock for me.I Was more like "Holy fuck this shit is awesome,it's just like the comics and tv shows",I don't get the fact of why people don't expect destruction in a Superman fight, his enemies were always tough guys.
If we ever reach Darkseid,I hope he get a fight between Supermanvs Darkseid were they level a city.

Being Zack is suffering.

>So explain to me why Supes couldn't have been the one to throw the Phantom Drive at Zod's ship
Didn't he said that the World Engine in the pacific needed to be destroy so the magnetic field in the Mothership could be shut, which would allow his ship to be throw at the Mothership? And he was the only one fast enough to reach the World Engine in the pacific(and turns out that he would be probably be the only one capable to pass throught it's defenses)?

Yes I'm sure all of those thousands in buildings were completely empty. I could literally have said the same shit with MoS.

This was before Fury Road.

>brother eye ever being used as a plot point
>especially in the first JL movie ever
>Max Lord played by Jay Baurachel
No.

They made it work.
