First look at Robin (Dick Grayson) from the Titans TV show.

Huh, that's actually not too bad.
The only new info from accompanying articles is the costume designer:
>Robin’s new suit, an updated version of his classic costume, was designed by Laura Jean Shannon, whose work has been seen on screens both big (Iron Man) and small (The CW’s upcoming Black Lightning).
meh looks like they copied and pasted from the arkham games
still could be a lot worse
No costume in the world would make that person playing Starfire pretty, tho.
Neat I guess.
Too bad it's going to have retarded armor pants instead of the speedo.
>The tiny Rs on the inside of his cape
Please be good, I’m hype.
Doesn’t surprise me since they just straight up gave Deathstroke his Arkham look.
It’s cosplay-tier. But like really good cosplay.
Looks like a gay porn parody.
You are one stupid cookie, ennit?
holy shit is far better than Hack snyder designs
Why? I just hate the tacticool meme.
>The cape is even yellow underneath
YES
The cast.
DICK GRAYSON / ROBIN (Brenton Thwaites)
>Equal parts charm and impenetrability, Dick is a cop at the notoriously corrupt Bludhaven Police Department. He has a nice smile, tired eyes and a cool, distant manner. However, when provoked, his eyes are so lethal they could drain a man of every last bit of spleen. He is haunted by the murder of his family, and unbeknownst to those around him, he is also a vigilante who has abandoned his mentor to carve his own path. In the shadows, he fights with the commitment and conviction of an artist, and the brutal grace of a dancer. Mentally and physically, he is covered in a map of scars. And though he fights to escape his past, it is often a losing battle.
I've got to strongly disagree there.
Just looking through her imdb gallery, she can look average, pretty or smoking hot depending on the lighting/hair/makeup.
How is that mask supposed to hide his identify
KORIAND'R / STARFIRE (Anna Diop)
>A tall, stunning extraterrestrial woman, her beauty so magnificent it’s almost inhuman. Elegant, refined and mysterious, she is on the hunt to discover who is trying to kill her and why. And those after her are in for a surprise because she’s more deadly than anyone they’ve ever encountered.
RACHEL ROTH / RAVEN (Tegan Croft)
>Troubled, bullied, often scared but unwilling to show it, Rachel is a loner, more comfortable hiding in her hoodie than making friends. Haunted by a dark force inside her, she experiences violent episodes that she cannot understand or control. She is also plagued by recurring nightmares that lead her across the country in search of help and answers.
not muh robin
The only thing from this show that looks alright, the rest is terrible
GARFIELD LOGAN / BEAST BOY (Ryan Potter)
>A wisecracking and fun-loving street thief who contracted a lethal disease on an African safari with his geneticist parents, only to experience bizarre side effects after being treated with an experimental drug: In addition to his hair and skin turning completely green, Gar can also transform into animals of any shape and size.
The world had a live-action Robin with the comic-accurate speedo, and it was largely responsible for the 50 year period of people assuming Robin was Batman's twink boy toy.
>Not making starfire latina
Fuckers
HANK HALL / HAWK (Alan Ritchson)
>A vicious one man army on the brink of crossing a line he might regret. He has vowed to protect his crimefighting partner, for whom he harbors strong feelings, but the darkness within him threatens to tear them apart.
DAWN GRANGER / DOVE (Minka Kelly)
>A graceful master fighting machine. She straddles the world of being a thrill-seeking and do-gooding vigilante, along with being her crimefighting partner’s emotional anchor and caregiver. She loves him, but fears what he’s become.
DETECTIVE AMY ROHRBACH (Lindsey Gort)
>A detective at the Bludhaven Police Department alongside Dick Grayson, she knows more than she lets on. A striking woman with a body covered in tattoos and a hardass demeanor.
I just read about this show, and there's no signs of Cyborg? Wtf is that?
Oh wow. He looks good.
Very sexy indeed too, it kind of satisfies my Robin fetish. Can't wait to see a whole body shot.
You don't even know what tacticool means
>muh ass
Nightwing's ass is a meme. That was never what made him attractive.
She's cute. can't wait.
I don't give a shit about what other people assume.
Brenton is like 27-28 I hope he's not Robin for long. I was really hoping he'd be Nightwing already so we could have Tim and Red Hood at some point.
this twinkle looks more like Tim
hes retroactively justice league only now
She looks cute, I feel like people really overreacted to her casting.
Casting is underway for four mystery characters.
>DANIEL CROSS [Male, 17-19, Caucasian]. Athletic, street-smart, cocky yet charming. His life is changed forever when he crosses a crimefighter and is given a new outlet for his rebellious ways. RECURRING GUEST STAR.
Rumored to be Roy Harper / Arsenal.
The description says he's a cop so we'll probably either see flashbacks or him transitioning from Robin to Nightwing.
Body armor and metal plates, clips and buckles, combat boots and dull colors because comic costumes are too unrealistic.
He's a cop so it might just be flashbacks
Meh. The costume looks okay but I'm not a fan of the actor. Hoping he looks better in his Nightwing suit.
>JENNIFER ANDREWS [Female, 20s/30s, Caucasian]. Small town, Midwestern girl gone to Hollywood, Jennifer is a star on the rise. She comes across a doe-eyed, All-American and naive in her approach to her art and life. Jennifer emulates the classic girl-next-door actors from the 1940’s and 50’s. A bit Stepford-y in her thinking and appearance, Jennifer feels like a woman out of time. RECURRING GUEST STAR.
Rumored to be Rita Farr / Elastigirl.
Will this take place in Arrowverse?
>CAROLINE [Female, 40s, Caucasian]. Forever sleepless with worry, she’s the mother to a young, troubled teen. Seeking a recognizable cameo face or name. GUEST STAR.
Rumored to be Raven's mother, Arella.
I remember when Dick thought he was seducing her but she really just wanted to have dinner with him and her family.
I can't believe Hawk and Dove are in this show over, literally anyone else, but most of all Cyborg. How many years until they stop ruining him and just replace him with another black character for the Justice League?
People only complained because black women are objectively the least desirable type of female and they all waifued Starfire in the cartoon. But then they got upset over getting called racist so many times so they changed it to her being too old even though black don’t crack.
Nope. Not in the DCEU or the Gotham-Verse either.
People liked Cyborg in the movie so never
Also this show needs somebody to die and Hawk is almost definitely going to die in the first season
>
THE MESSENGER [Male, 50s-60s, Open ethnicity]. Outwardly a warm and kind presence, he doesn’t seem the type to be powerful or malicious. But he has the ability to turn on a dime and be the most terrifying man you have ever met. Seeking offer-only recognizable face or name. RECURRING GUEST STAR.
Rumored to be Trigon's enforcer, Brother Blood.
>Rumored to be Trigon's enforcer, Brother Blood.
fuck off johns
What's the deal with this show again?
What network, details, etc.? There's so many comic adaptations announced every month i forget what is what.
She looks cute... for a black chick. Not for Starfire.
I wonder if they'll do the glowing, fiery hair effect thing in the show.
It's a show on DC"s new streaming service, along with Young Justice season 3.
>Network
Last I heard this was going to be exclusive to DC’s streaming service along with Young Justice season 3.
I wish
Gay porn parodies NEVER look this good
At least it doesn't look nearly as obnoxiously robotic as Dick's costume in Arkham
better than anyone you could possibly land
Did they? I haven't heard anyone even mention him outside of his shitty effects since that's the only thing people even seem to remember of the poor bastard. I'd swear the movie version Cyborg was half cardboard and wood considering how boring and forgettable he was.
Wut
>She looks cute... for a black chick
what does that mean
>People liked Cyborg in the movie
Source?
>tiny Rs make up the pattern on the inside of the cape
nice
>too old
Casting call wanted someone in her 20s. Meanwhile they were asking for someone in his late 20s-early 30s to play Dick
>surprised at racism on Sup Forums
this your first time?
Her African features display a unique beauty, but not the beauty of a non-African being from Tamaran, who canonically displays more Caucasian or Latin features.
That looks good, I might actually watch th
nevermind
where the fuck is cyborg?
He's a Leaguer why would he be in a Titans show?
I liked Cyborg more than I thought I would. I agree that his CG body was poorly done, but what I liked about his portrayal was that he was obviously in angst, but was not angsty or edgy. He had an identity struggle to deal with, but it didn’t stop him from doing the right thing? And I liked his laugh with Supes after saving the world. It felt corny but sincere.
And the Harley Quinn cartoon
So he's still gonna be Robin as a cop? That's weird. I hope we see him transition to Nightwing.
this was weird to me too. I hate cyborg in comics and I don't want him in the jl, but he surprised me pleasantly
I think both Robin and Nightwing had been mentioned at different times during pre-production.
>Tamaran, who canonically displays more Caucasian or Latin features
Explain. And don't say artist depiction because black characters are usually drawn like white people but with dark skin anyway.
He looks younger tho, easily can pass for 19-24, so...
He's confirmed to turn into Nightwing as the series goes along.
Hate that they're here. Probably because their powers are easy on the special effects budget.
There are so many better choices...
Bumblebee
Jericho
Terra
Flamebird
Red Star
Argent
Shit, I'd even take a non-Titan like Ray, Static, or Blue Beetle. Or Damage. Or Stargirl. All of these characters are more interesting than Hawk and Dove.
If it not just in flashbacks, he'll probably be Robin while trying to find his new identity. Either way, there's no way we won't get Nightwing.
I don't get this controversy at all. She's going to be painted orange who gives a shit what the actors race is?
>And don't say artist depiction
But it is artist depiction. There’s never been an instance where Kori looked remotely black. You can try posting her 80s design, but that doesn’t look black either. There were many Latinas in the 80s rocking that look.
he doesn't look like a teen
virgins who waifud her but are also a little racist and don't like the idea of her being a black woman.
She's not latina though she's an orange space alien.
no cyborg = no watch
It’s not about skin color. It’s about bone structure and facial construction.
I don't believe it. They would just connect it to the Arrowverse if it was Roy Harper.
No they wouldn't.
His point is that Kori never looked white either, she looked orange. Any features aside from skin color that differentiate races never show up in comics for women because 99% of white artists just draw the same, attractive white woman for all heroines. It's like how Pocahontas didn't look remotely Native American in the Disney movie aside from her skin tone.
Why is Roy in his teens while Dick is in his late 20s/early 30s?
I was thinking it might be Jason
NO THEY HAVE TO
EVERYTHING HAS TO BE ONE UNIVERSE BECAUSE ME SMALL BRAIN NO COMPREHEND MORE THAN ONE UNIVERSE
>imb4 they cut it off after one episode
Why? Supergirl is an alternate universe, why wouldn't Titans?
Really dude? None of the artists who work on superhero comics worry about fucking bone structure and facial construction. They just draw the same woman over and over again with different hair and clothes.
Firstt see how soulless the DCEU can be, and then you'll start to realise, DC should stick to TV.
I'm gonna bet it'll be Tad actually.
A-Listers don't do TV.
It's not out of the question for Roy Harper to be 19. Dick is probably in his early 20s, not late 20s/early 30s.
It's the other way around. If they want an original Roy here for some reason, it'd explain why it is its own continuity.
I wonder if JL failing will allow them to add Cyborg later...
hes 28
Based on the god awful season long stories on Flash, I'm positive we'll get a season about Monarch only to have YET ANOTHER switcheroo where Hawk isn't Monarch in this universe.
What's the show's title again?
