Did this fandom seriously just gather for a concert? Watching this made me question whether or not religion is still a major thing in our society. Everyone wants to claim that we're becoming more atheist and then I see this shit. This feels no different than Christians gathering together for their own concerts. And this is a fucking cartoon show!
>Everyone wants to claim that we're becoming more atheist and then I see this shit. This feels no different than Christians gathering together for their own concerts.
It's called Sodom or Gomorrah. California and Washington are their modern counterparts.
Isaiah Bell
They wish.
Owen Richardson
No, there is nothing worse than ponifags.
Michael Nguyen
no matter how bad SUfags ever get, they'll never be worse than bronies
that being said they're definitely second
Daniel Allen
Worse by what measure? Because in general, the pony fandom is a fairly nice place with 4chans sect of it being the worst of the bunch, and even Sup Forums bronies are generally much better people than the typical SU fan
SU fandom is completely toxic, they are the same as the SJW nutjobs on tumblr. The pony fandom has never bullied content creators to near suicide over bullshit.
Gabriel Bell
>Did this fandom seriously just gather for a concert What kind of question is that? Isn't that the basis for literally any concert, that fans go to see a band they like? Why is it suddenly different for fans of a cartoon?
Liam Taylor
>The pony fandom has never bullied content creators to near suicide over bullshit.
Or cancer sick kids.
Juan Jenkins
>Worse by what measure? If you even need to ask, it's clear to me that you haven't been on Sup Forums very long. or maybe we've just been on too long, jesus has it really been nearly 8 years since the massive bronie infestation?
Grayson White
I so far haven't seen anyone selling unlicensed Gem sex dolls, so they've got the edge up on ponyfags there
Nathan Sanders
Cuz they have no crafting skills, just like Sup Forums, and they are more neutered than an eunuch, just like Sup Forums.
Levi Russell
Well the thing is, Satan, is that the whole brony situation has moreorless died down at this point, and it was mainly got widespread attention outside of Sup Forums in the first place because "lolmanchildren jacking it to ponies". SU fans have far surpassed bronies, but they hide their shitty behavior behind the guise of inclusiveness and tolerance, which is hilariously ironic.
Sebastian Gray
>Did this fandom seriously just gather for a concert? I honestly don't get what's wrong with this. It was during SDCC wasn't it, with Estelle singing?
Oliver Long
Hello, Barneyfag!
Why are you Barneybaiting?
Isaac Thomas
I don't see how MLP being really popular is a bad thing, or any sort of proof that bronies are "worse" than SU fans....I mean, I am and MLP fan so maybe I'm biased but really I don't see how that's a point. Yes, there was trolling, yes it was everywhere, so what....if people didn't get triggered by it half of that wouldn't have happened anyway. It was a different time, grown men liking girl shows is not out of the ordinary now very much because of that so called "infestation" (even though this very board is arguably where it began in the first place, since at the time it wasn't "the dreaded pony show", but just yet another cartoon to be discussed on the cartoon board)
MLP fans are more creative as a whole than most fandoms it seems, you should be impressed that they make their own plushies, you have a right to be disgusted by the sexualization aspect but you're lying to yourself if you think it's any different in the SU fandom, they make porn and sexualize the characters, they just can't make toys or choose not to. There are far more people who make non sex toy plushies than there are who do, just because of one meme image of the Lyra fleshlight doll doesn't mean it's what everybody does.
Grayson Morgan
California and Washington are far from being the modern day Sodom and Gormorrah, you retard. Also, we don't know the location of where those cities once stood so we don't have any indication that they existed at all.
Isaac Richardson
>California and Washington are far from being the modern day Sodom and Gormorrah Yeah, they are too far away of each other for the fire and brimstone rain.
You seem upset. I cannot blame you for hating states that have a higher quality of living compared to your shithole filled with incest and animal sex.
Figure it out. If these cities never existed then you have nothing to compare these states to.
Camden Ortiz
How come Las Vegas hasn't met that same fate?
Elijah Roberts
> God sent two angels disguised as hot dudes.
That's entrapment.
Connor King
Vegas' secret is that it only pretends to be smutty to fool people into giving the place money.
Dominic Stewart
Sometimes I wonder if thousands of years in the future archealogists will dig up our pop culture and assume it was our religion or something.
Dominic Young
Gambling is still as sin, Anonymous.
Plus God doesn't care if you're just pretending.
Nicholas James
>The pony fandom has never bullied content creators to near suicide over bullshit. Wrong. The brony fandom has had incidents where they aggressively stalked and harassed the Applejack VA online and at cons to the point where she stopped humoring them and distanced herself from them and sent death threats to a new head writer in later seasons because they disliked her work.
You never found out because pony talk is banned here.
Alexander Foster
Who the fuck finds fan gatherings and people going to a concert weird? Do you frequent people, OP? And don't you faggots start pretending it's in any way new either. I swear you people will find any excuse to shit on a show you don't like.
t. never watched an episode of SU
Jacob Campbell
Man, why couldn't a mass shooting have happened at this concert instead?
Noah Lewis
>Wrong. The brony fandom has had incidents where they aggressively stalked and harassed the Applejack VA online and at cons to the point where she stopped humoring them and distanced herself from them and sent death threats to a new head writer in later seasons because they disliked her work.
You're greatly exaggerating. And besides, that's show staff, not some kid making artwork. Every show staff gets pestered by fans on Twitter and bullshit like that, it comes with the job. Hell, I'm sure you could find some nasty comments on Littlest Pet Shop videos on Hasbro's official channel from actual little kids who hated the show.
Christian Clark
>Fandom has never done toxic stuff! >Yes they have. >Those don't count!
Should've just started your post with, "I'm biased and here's what I think" so I know not to read it next time.
Jason Miller
It's a legitimate point. Nobody ever seriously harassed Megan McCarthy or Ashleigh Ball, you'd have a point if they quit their job over it. There is a big difference between what occurred with them and the incident where SU fans nearly made another fan kill themselves over SJW insanity.
Levi Fisher
if i recall, it was just an event CN set up at comic con this summer. Fans or whatever just showed up, no tickets sold or anything.
Joseph Bailey
Got a source on that? I don't remember it ever happening.
Jeremiah Thomas
>Everyone wants to claim that we're becoming more atheist and then I see this shit.
there always must be a god. if there's no god in your life, eventually something else will come in it's place, for the better or worse
Jason Cox
nice try Sup Forums immigrant, no converts here though, try it on Sup Forums
Jeremiah Cruz
>There is a big difference between what occurred with them and the incident where SU fans nearly made another fan kill themselves over SJW insanity. There isn't a point because you make it sound as if they bullied a mentally healthy girl so hard they drove her to suicide. What happened is the same level of harassment that happened with McCarthy and Ball but it happened to a person who was already emotionally fragile and severely depressed to begin with so her being pushed to suicide was practically a non-challenge. If either of the other two MLP workers had the same problems she did, they would've attempted suicide, too.
Cameron Robinson
>but it happened to a person who was already emotionally fragile and severely depressed to begin with so her being pushed to suicide was practically a non-challenge. If either of the other two MLP workers had the same problems she did, they would've attempted suicide, too.
You're not helping your case.
Henry Smith
How? She didn't telegraph that she was emotionally unstable, people didn't find out until after the incident.
Nathaniel Sanders
Ashleigh Ball didn't get "harassed" in the same way, in that she wasn't bullied. She was weirded out by the fandom at first and it was offputting to her, but she wasn't bullied. Pony fans just came to her bands show and tried to talk to her about ponies.
As for McCarthy, I don't know of any specific incidents and like someone else mentioned, you haven't given a source, but I can overlook that because you know what....I'm sure she probably has gotten some less than positive fan mail, but that happens to everyone who's in charge of a tv show, whether it's MLP, SU, or fucking Transformers. It's going to happen when you're a professional in the industry, that is not bullying an innocent fan because of their artwork.
Also, this.
Nathan Turner
Why are fans of a show that preaches positiveness and togetherness and all that jazz bullying people in the fist place? Seriously what is it about these kinds of shows that attract people like that?
Jacob Gutierrez
Why do you act like this is new? Every since the beginning of humanity, people have been following ideals that promote one thing but then fight anyone who challenges them. That's the basis of Christianity's history for thousands of years.
Leo Taylor
Just because its not a new phenomenon doesn't make it acceptable.
William Price
I want to have sex with tumblr twink.
Juan Roberts
I thought tumblr only had ugly girls.
Ayden Wilson
tumblr is like female Sup Forums. The longer you stick around the worse off you become. She'll put on 50 lbs and dye her hair blue soon enough.
Tyler Roberts
>Also, we don't know the location of where those cities once stood so we don't have any indication that they existed at all. Well yeah man that was kind of the point of destroying them.
Landon Cruz
Estiels (however the fuck you spell it) concert was announced at a con and then happened after a while, it was pretty well spread that this event was going to happen. Also alot of comments here are talking about the Zami incident, and the axolotl incident, but not mentioning the tyrant rex incident or the other two that I have heard of but have no names, mostly because there not memed to all hell.
Benjamin Sullivan
To add It happened after sdcc, like immediately after a panel, so that helps explain the crowd.
Aaron Turner
am I gay tumblrino if I actually enjoyed the song? never watched steven universe and was lurking for shitposting on sjw
Joseph Wright
smol horse took over, man SU is annoying, but they generally stay in their tower The difference here is sheer number. SUfags aren't even a drop in the bucket compared to back-in-the-day smol horse.
Ethan Rodriguez
>things must be literal or they have no meaning >metaphor does not exist I don't have a reaction image condescending enough for this, but just know that you made me feel very smug and superior.
Owen Bell
No user you haven't contracted the "I wanna fuck a mineral" your fine.
Angel Gray
>look at these losers...attending a concert the absolute state of cartoon discussion
Jaxson Murphy
>I honestly don't get what's wrong with this. It was during SDCC wasn't it, with Estelle singing?
Yep. And CN almost certainly engineered much of it through advertising and giveaways to make sure people would show up wearing specific things.
Jacob Jackson
I'm embarrassed for that guy, for you user.
I really wonder about this websites inability to understand metaphor and jokes such a large portion of the time.
That being said. What's so weird about a concert?
Carter Brooks
The concert thing is just bitching for the sake of bitching. It's definitely not on par with Dashcon.
Kayden Phillips
>Did this fandom seriously just gather for a concert? It was during SDCC. A lot of people were already there.
