Is this the absolute worst, unredeemable event in cape comics history?
It basically single-handedly ruined the Ultimate universe, rendering it unretconnable unless writers meddled with the base foundations of the Ultimate universe which was "never retcon major events".
And god, I wish they'd broken the rule, just this one time, because it's so fucking shitty. It's so god awfully shitty.
Lucas Ortiz
>he didn't enjoy seeing Janet get eaten out What a fag
Noah Reed
Yes.
Josiah Reed
Personally I would say all of Inhumans vs X-men
Wyatt Carter
Nah, I love this event.
Jaxson Murphy
I liked that it made JJJ see Spidey as a cool guy. That was neat, but that was about all.
Hudson Price
It's shit, but at least it set up the Evil Reed saga, which is pretty fun.
Brandon Gonzalez
It only fuckd up the Ultimate universe, so whatever. Identity Crisis shat hard on regular DC.
Kevin Davis
>all of Millar's edgy fucks are killed Nah, this event was great
Aiden Wilson
AvX and IvX were both garbage, but they didn't shit on 616 anywhere near as hard as Ultimatum shat on Ultimate.
Still, most people care more about 616 than they did about Ultimate, so the perceived impact might be bigger.
James Brooks
>Marvel Original Sin
>DC Identity Crisis and Countdown
Dominic Hernandez
Civil War ruined the Marvel Universe. It created a trend that completed annihilated any chance of Marvel not fucking themselves over.
Eli Taylor
Ultimatum wasd GOAT because it showed just how puny and pathetic we humans are, in comparison to the forces of nature. Even super-powered humans. We all are just dust. Of couse, stupid retarded autists will never understand the beauty and truth of this concept, all they want are fucking power fantasies.
Jason Sanders
It was already ruined. The universe had this shit coming
Henry Gomez
Well remembered. Missed civil war, but yeah, original sin was made to shit on Marvel in general with retcons, it's bizarre.
Leo Martin
Ultimate Universe was crap anyway
Lucas Scott
Civil War fucked regular MU though.
Daniel Morris
In my opinion, yes. And I've read some shit. But this is on a whole other level.
Dylan Martinez
That, it did. But Identity Crisis went out of its way to ruin DC. Apparently it's a common discussion hre on which did more damage to its respective univere.
Hudson Cox
Identity Crisis made the entire Justice League complicit in mind-raping one of their leaders and causing the whole "Batman mistrusts everyone" trope for years to come.
Austin Lopez
>Is this the absolute worst, unredeemable event in cape comics history? Yes. Even worse than Secret Wars II, Civil War II or The Crossing.
Ayden Torres
Ding Ding Ding. Original Sin was a disaster.
At least Ultimatum had the right idea. Just poorly executed.
Camden Smith
I liked the main story
Jack Cox
Why?
Landon Turner
Fun character interactions, lots of good twists, and I love The Orb
Ethan Collins
its not that it wrecked ultimate universe, like some anons already said, it was just atrocious in execution its a stinking pile of horseshit, laziness and stupidity as far as writing and editing goes
coincidentally, just before ultimatum, wildstorm had its own world shattering event, number of the beast, with World's End line-wide storyline emerging as a result the basic idea was that it only takes for the heroes to fail once for the world to crash and burn just once to be a little to late so the world got fucked hard, apocalyptic shit, none of this ultimatum pussy wave, and that became the status quo i wonder why people never talk about it i cant be the only one who loved it
John Bennett
>had the right idea
The idea was just "kill everyone." What was right about that?
