Looks like the same model to me, but just not his traditional smirk.

Which begs the question of going against such a traditional grin. The new renders face looks punchably annoying.

Jesus, it's like dreamworks face x10.

How do you think this will rank among the original cartoon and the jim carrey remake?

"Heh, yeah. Guess I'll bother their Christmas, or something".

>Which begs the question of going against such a traditional grin.
less effort

I dont think anything can top the original cartoon for pure nostalgia/love.

Jim Carrey was ok and just funny for meme purposes.

This movie probably will be alright, comparable to Lorax. It'll be somewhat enjoyable, ultimately forgettable and will probably never replace airings of the original and Jim Carrey's version on ABC

There it is. That Grinch doesn't look like a Grinch who delights in evil, and is almost fetishly excited to steal Christmas

>comparable to Lorax
So a complete waste of time, money, and resources that serves little purpose other than to fill the pockets of Illumination Entertainment?

This is gonna be a motherfucking disaster.
Check my 5

Is he hoing to fuck the tree?

Remember this user.
youtube.com/watch?v=DKKA3M-2sJc

It's happening again user.

He looks less like the Grinch and more like a Costanza meme version of the Grinch.

My thought exactly.

Hang yourself this Christmas with the tie-in Grinch neckties that will pile up at the dump.

>onceler flashbacks

I don’t think I can do this again

Hold that thought.

Old: comedically asshole-ish
New: smug stoner

They should make him an atheist now just to complete the joke.

I can't fucking wait for tumblr to fell in love with the grinch and shipping him with himself

WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY GRINCH?

I don't understand this whole "let's rape Dr. Seuss-books" thing that has been going on for a while

Oh come on, how bad could it possibly be?

he looks just like himself

>I seriously hope you guys don't celebrate Christmas

Has the cast for this come out? I’m guessing Jim ain’t voicing him.

He doesn't look like the Grinch, the who who hates christmas so much he'd try to put a stop to it by getting rid of all of the presents, decorations and trees in town on christmas eve.

He looks like he'd have the personality of the grey troll from Trolls.

Eventually, the estates and heirs of dead authors run out of unfinished manuscripts and napkin doodles to publish in book form for hardcore fans, so they end up selling out in order to keep milking the cow.

I was slightly interested in this when it was announced but damn, this looks like it's going to be obnoxious as hell.

I've almost had it, noose myself like chef boyardee. Asking men parking lixeira.

Pray they don't alter it any further.

I want them to do Daisy-Head Mayzie next, if only for all the porn it will lead to.

Benedict Cumberbatch is the Grinch and some sources claim that girl who voiced Tiny in Santa Buddies is Cindy Lou.

Where are you Christmas?

>first the Jim Carrey remake
>now this

stop ruining my favorite Christmas animation

>Cindy Lou Who asks Grinch if celebrates a Christain Christmas instead.
>Le Atheist Joke and says he just hates Christmas in general.

So what’s going to fill the time inbetween the actual story. In the Lorax it was the whole O’Hare vs kid who wants to get laid. In Jim Carey’s grinch it was the set up in the first two acts.

IIRC their Horton movie was decent. Did they do Cat in the Hat yet?

Grinch night?

>first the Jim Carrey remake
>first
It's nearly 20 years old, I don't think another movie coming out just now is that big of a deal.

...

>2011+6
>still shiggydiggy posting
>ISHYGDDT

I think Cat in the Hat is the one thing they may never try, possibly ever again. Not after the live action one.

That's really fasinating that they tried to do live action dr seuss stuff, it kind of backfired entirely and then they went to cgi animation.

I think for the most part the Grinch will cover most of the well known ones, although i'd be curious to see how they pull off one fish two fish.

>illumination
>in charge of making a Grinch movie
I see they're trying their best to make the Jim Carry movie not seem so bad in comparison

Seuss' estate hated the Cat in the Hat movie so much they barred all future love action films cancelling The Cat in Returns since it was rushed into preproduction.

His movie was so bad it was good

we're getting another Lorax.

>Benedict Cumberbatch is the Grinch
I don't trust a guy who can't even pronounce the word 'penguin' correctly.

Illumination didn't make the Horton movie.

Illumination have a animated Cat in the Hat film in very early development along with a Flanimals film and an adaptation of Lockwood & Co.: The Screaming Staircase.

>That Smug Smirk

All I can think of is this old concept art for Jim Carrey's The Mask

Grinch yaoi when?

>an adaptation of Lockwood & Co.: The Screaming Staircase
Actually Big Talk Productions optioned the rights to Lockwood & Co in September with plans to adapt it into a television series.

He looks like he wants to sell me his used car

youtube.com/watch?v=jvvDEzfalCk

I bet they changed it so it resembles this gifted performer

Are you implying Jim Carrey's The Grinch is not a goddamn holiday classic?

I've had a really autistic idea for a loose adaptation of Oh The Places You'll Go, I can't get it out of my head. tumblr would probably love it

I thought that John K did early development for an adaptation of that, but it was actually for 'Happy Birthday to You!'

Haven't these fuckers ruined enough of Giesel's work?

diddly diddly doo jew

don't give shadman any ideas.

I rewatched the Live Action one last night, and it was much better than I expected.

Especially with the practical effects and real sets.

>Cindy Lou has the save Christmas
>The Grinch somehow factors into this in a minor way

Count on it.

NINE
NINE
NINE
NINE AND A HALF
the grirch was not a jew

Do you think will any characters in the movie will actually say Christmas
Because they seemed to token out the stole Christmas part

Jim Carrey as the Grinch was a blessing on this callous Earth.
youtube.com/watch?v=rCLrjF6feNg

So how sexy will Cindy Lou be?

haha

I sure hope you got dat dick transplant?

Say what you will about the live action movie, but Carrey was what sold the it. This was nice too.

It might've been a bad movie or just passably OK, but at least there's some actual effort put into it and things to enjoy in it.

Cat in the Hat was all sorts of annoying and shit though. Mike Myers could not carry the movie with his acting at all, and what wasn't cheap, plastic CGI wasn't interesting enough to help the movie at all. It still bewilders me that Cartoon Network wants to play that movie every two weeks or so.

HOLY SHIT

Jim Carrey will alway be the superior Grinch

...

Pray they don't alter it an...

Damn it, came here to post this.

>Haven't these fuckers ruined enough of Giesel's work
The moment he died his widow Audrey greenlit anything that looked like money in her pocket. She also tried to sue the makers of stovepipe rave hats when they did red/white striped ones.

>Illumination
Into the trash it goes

Yeah but didn't she hate the live action Cat in the Hat so much she forbid any other live action movies being made? I'd take Illumination's stuff over Seth Rogen in a creepy elephant costume.

Whoville cleansing when?

oh my shit

kek this

is it wrong that I enjoyed the Horton Hears a Who anime scene?

youtube.com/watch?v=ldDxDHHGB6A

post the one where he shits out a brick of gold.

I can imagine Pepe being pissed that he keeps getting mistaken for The Grinch

i dont care. dr suess's art triggers autism

I thought THIS was enough?

It wasn't that bad

its a pile of goatshit

You need to go back

I'm not liking the eyes, so I went with Jones' color. Just thinking back where Jim Carrey had to put big yellow contacts in his eyes makes me question why this CGI version is just bland?

They had that on in the break room at work last night, it was pretty fun. Jim Carrey's performance was especially great, he brought a lot of life to the role. It was kind of dumb in a really fun way, so I liked it. And the mayor's wife was fucking hot holy shit

Jim Carrey was fucking godlike there tho. had it been any other actor it would have been a shitpile to rival Cat in The Hat.

you need to have good taste

You asked for two dimensions and I gave you 3!
Aha ha ha

AyyLmao

Fuck off, the live action Grinch movie was pro tier

This shit is going to be a mess

>is it wrong that I enjoyed the Horton Hears a Who anime scene?
Yes. It really doesn't even look like anime and more like a cereal commercial. I wish whenever there was some sorta anime parody that they actually hire a actual anime studio to work on it. Gumball did it, Black Dynamite did it for their intro. Also those Matrix and Batman collabs. Why can't a fucking movie?

based

>I've had a really autistic idea for a loose adaptation of Oh The Places You'll Go

post it

>LOTR
oh god no

It's good in its own way. Kid me didn't appreciate it back in 2000, but now I do.

A simple, yet very pronounced change, I think.

I like it.

Jim Carrey Grinch movie is already 17 years old.

It was my very first DVD movie when my family began to transitition from VHS.

>lorax
>alright

>there are people on this board who hate this
