All this year I'll be posting Punisher comics. Most of them will be from the Ennis era, but there'll be a few from the Ennis era as well. Expect at least 1 storytime per week.
A couple days ago I storytimed The Punisher's part in Marvel's "The Evolutionary War" "event" that ran in all their 1988 Annuals. You can read it over here: Then yesterday I storytimed The Punisher's part in Marvel's "Atlantis Attacks" "event", which ran in all their 1989 Annuals. You can read that over here: In the early 90s Marvel switched up the formula of their "Annual Events" a bit. Instead of 1 big "event" that ran in every single Annual, they started publishing several (usually 4 or more) different "events", each spread out across about 4 Annuals each.
The Punisher's 1990 Annual would be chosen for the starting chapter of the "Lifeform" "event", which is about... Well, you can read this storytime and find out!
Plus we've got some REALLY FUCKING NICE backup features. There's another look at "Punisher's Fighting Techniques" drawn by Mark Texeira! Then some of those awesome "Punisher's Arsenal Entries" that made up "The Punisher Armory" series. Then maybe THE creepiest Punisher story EVER! This is no joke, you have to see this one for yourself. And last, but not least, we've got an awesome collab between Mike Baron and Mark Texeira, who'd worked together before on The Punisher War Journal. And Mike Baron even writes the main story! How can you pass up an issue like this?
Nobody writes better action sequences than Mike Baron.
Jaxon Jackson
Wow! That is legit fucked up looking! It's not often in comics that the "horrific monster" actually looks horrific.
Grayson Scott
What in the fuck?!
Carson Wood
Whatever happened to Sniper anyway?
Caleb Parker
>the soviets killed kennedy
(((suuuuuuuuure they did)))
Cooper Ramirez
...
Carter Johnson
I love this. 5 awesome fight scenes in as many pages. All the backstory they give each one is a fantastic touch.
Angel Allen
>5 awesome fight scenes
6, I mean.
Jason White
Love these Punisher Armory pages.
Joshua Gutierrez

James Miller
Looks like they forgot to color in the shadows.
Cameron Ramirez
How applicable are the punisher's fighting techniques?
Christian Diaz

Andrew Nguyen
Probably not at all. I haven't seen any evidence that anything other than boxing, muay thai, bjj, and wrestling, realistically work in real fights. And I guess just fighting dirty and/or using weapons. The rest of that shit is just asian mumbo-jumbo.
Nathan Fisher
This is one of the most unbelievably creepy things I have ever read.
Jacob Jones
>the latest Battlevan
I like how it was a running joke that the Battlevan kept getting blown up and they had to keep building new ones.
Cooper Carter
OH THAT IS SO FUCKING GROSS HAHA!
Angel Turner
I like how methodical his plan is here. There should be more "vigilante procedurals" like this.
Colton Miller
Thanks for being one of the only people who consistantly storytimes anything anymore.
Alexander Hughes

Jose Stewart

Adam Roberts
Am I the only one that thought the Microchip backup was better than the main story?
Ryder Collins
punishing trips of truth
Oliver Cruz
No problem.
Bentley Cook
I felt like issue #3 was the best one so far.
Evan Murphy
Potts wrapped his and Damage's stories up in a miniseries called Damaging Evidence.
