Why was everyone in this show a stereotype?

KRISTIIIII

it was a bad show

>WHERE IS MY SUPER SUIT

What’s Sup Forums‘s general consensus on this show? I liked it as a kid but it wasn’t really significant among the shows I watched around the same time it was airing

It alright. Not the best, not the worst, has some sense of skill put into it.

Trudy's gone Oscar, she took her kids too lol

I found it funny as a kid. No idea if it holds up.

Alright show, but it had a lot of great standalone episodes. The unrealistic and weird episodes were always the best.

FOR FREE

it was one of my favs when i was a kid and i think the earlier episodes hold up well until you get to the later eps when they started pulling disney bullshit and making penny be a singer/dancer for no reason

i personally preferred the grounded ones more bc the dialogue was better? but i think the animation was more exciting in the weird ones

It was kind of like Static Shock where sometimes it was a fairly normal show and sometimes if was full of a bunch of hamfisted moral messages.

His relationship with his mom was unrealistic. Black men love their mothers. There was a survey showing that black on average would let a infant die in a fire if they could save their mothers. I guess Oscar is a onliner.

I liked it and still kinda do. Uncle bobby, sticky, and sugga mama all made me laugh

Just everyone that isn't in the main cast

remember the episode where Penny went back in time and Zoey called her a negro

Uncle bobby never knelt during the national anthem

youtube.com/watch?v=4kvjACosrnY

I remember being really interested in it but it never really did much for me. I always had sort of a thing for the bitchy Latina girl though. I really wanted to like it but I ended up kinda hating it.

Took me a while to realize the hispanic grandfather was based off the Joker

>JUUULAAAYYY!

I thought it was hilarious when I was a kid, but I haven't seen it in so long so I dunno if it holds up.

Just now realizing that as I read this lmao

...

But Sugga mama was the one who treated Oscar like shit while babying Bobby.

His mom was abusive as hell, blatantly preferred his brother, and was completely ungrateful to him despite the fact that he takes care of her. If anything, it's unrealistic that he didn't murder her and pull a Norman Bates/Tyler Perry by impersonating her.

THEEEO

>that kwanza episode where the family has money but decides to be homeless

I relate to and understand Oscar more and more each day.

Niggers irl are all stereotypes

Honestly I'm saddened she favored his brother Oscar has a job sure not successful as that's the joke but never heard his company going out of business, a loving wife, a nice house, three loving children while his brother was a bum who lived in their house, didn't have any income and was a man baby.

fuck was this nigga problem

I fap to Oscar's daughter more and more each day

He was the biggest baller out there.

>accurately depicted black people as written by a black person
>stereotypes
I can tell you grew up in a sheltered white neighborhood

you could actually see his face unobscured during a crowd shot once

Always felt bad for Oscar, but there was some funny stuff. I especially like Wizz Kelly and that one fever trip of a movie about peanuts.

>not posting it
you're a butthead.

That was the movie

gotta do something special, that's what makes it a fucking movie. I wish people would realize this shit.

Oscar could be a dick but dude got way more shit than he deserved

Then again he had a hot as fuck wife so I guess it works out

So THAT'S what's hiding underneath those frumpy clothes? No wonder Oscar was so overbearing.

>the episode where Oscar gets beat up in the wrestling ring and suga mamma comes to help him

that was like the only genuinely heartwarming in the whole show

The best Disney Tweencom (best eps were centred around the adults)

Yeah, man. Those Trudy genes. Crazy for a Disney cartoon.

I bet Oscar picked those frumpy clothes out for her, probably tried to convince her to wear a longer skirt too

He was BASED.

>"Wizzid."
>"Huh?"

>curvy and like 5 foot even
HNNGH

>that body gets bullied by everyone else

Lacienaga is treated like she's hot as fuck compared to Penny but she's a sticc

lacienaga >

What a freak.

Only thing I remember from the show

youtube.com/watch?v=ZrA3jIn4l2U

haha I wonder what those smell like haha would probably take a wiff hah

She's surrounded by children. Adult men appreciate her more, like in that episode where she and her friends dance and dress like sluts.

probably pretty stinky haha

So is Trudy Asian or a light-skinned black woman?

Penny's sister is hot.

Yellowbone

She had a sister?

Yeah. A baby brother and sister. Twins. In one episode Al Roker turns them into sexy teenagers. It was weird.

that episode is even more uncomfortable now

were her giant feet even brought up again after this episode? you'd think they'd use that against her

this show was some weird shit, half the time it wanted to be slice of life the other half was surreal stuff like this.

What the fuck kinda hair does Trudy have? Doesn't look black.

As Sup Forums's resident black expert, hair like that on a black woman is rarely natural. It's either heavily processed or not even hers.

i dont thick so

shes appropriating white culture by straightening her hair

Trudy has a good amount of rule 34 and most of it isn't that bad.

I kind of liked that it mixed SOL and absolutely bizarre surreal shit. The writers just did whatever the fuck they felt like.

When the character is already hot, it's hard to fuck up.

>looking at porn of a married woman

come on, doesn't Oscar have it bad enough?

Oscar's suffering keeps the world spinning.

Al Roker was the best part about that show. Whenever he showed up, you knew you were in for a fun time.

It's the joke. She's tough on Oscar because Oscar's stubborn pettiness drives him to be productive. In every situation where Bobby "wins" and doesn't have to struggle, he becomes a fuckup.

>Bobby wins
I meant Oscar wins. I'd deleted another sentence in that post about how Bobby is a bum by nature and Sugar Mama babies him because she knows he can't take car of himself unlike Oscar, who apparently takes after his father more than Bobby.

It was alright in the beginning, though I dropped off before the end. Saw bits of the movie, and something felt really off. The art and writing just seemed, alien.

By that logic the Ed, Edd, n Eddy movie isn't a movie because Double D's hat never came off

but we saw eddys brother

Yea, but nobody cared about seeing him as much as Double D's hair, or possible lack thereof.

I definitely cared more about seeing Eddy's brother. Bro was a driving force on the show without even appearing. Edd's hat is just a neat thing that they make a joke about every 50 episodes.

So was Eddy's brother to some extent. He was only mentioned here and there, and it wasn't really until the movie that all the pieces fell into place about his impact on Eddy.

Eddy frequently mentioned his brother and there was even an entire episode centered around his alleged return. There's no way you could convince me Double D's hat is even close in importance.

Never said it was that important, just that more people were interested in seeing what was under it. And Eddy's brother is only mentioned in about maybe 20 episodes tops, with the addition of the one where Eddy pretends he's returning to Peachcreek. Beyond that, there wasn't any real "driving force" in the show beyond Eddy's attempt to scam the kids.

>Beyond that, there wasn't any real "driving force" in the show beyond Eddy's attempt to scam the kids.
>the entire premise of the show
But I can't speak for other kids. I just know why I cared more about Eddy's brother.

It was though. Eddy's brother was just like Double D's hat and what the parents of many of the kids looked like; things nobody really expected to get answered since the show was just episodic fun. It came as a surprise to many that the movie actually gave so much character development, even more than the Dexter Movie years before.

That ain't no mayonnaise.

What did Bobby mean by that? Was he saying Dijonay sucked dick?

She had the lips for it.

...

Trudy or Sunset?

Trudy is the obvious choice the best choice.

Indeed she did, Sticky was a lucky dude.

>So is Trudy Asian or a light-skinned black woman?

She's just Gina from Martin.

Suga Mama

It's where i first heard the "peanut butter jelly time" dance song. Busted my sides laughing. I also remember liking the Magic Johnson parody guy.

Reminder that Penny has psychic latent psychic powers in her genes.

Eddy's brother was Eddy's entire character motivation, fuck off brainlet

Oscar does love his mother, otherwise she would've been sent to a retirement home years ago. He just doesn't LIKE her, and for damn good reason. Hell, there was an entire episode about this.

>The writers just did whatever the fuck they felt like.

sounds about right. what the fuck was that evil al roker shit?

It was what drove him, sure, but it wasn't all about his brother, you fucking moron.

Okay, I'll look at porn of his daughter instea

the point is that it was still fucking special, brainlet

whereas recent tv-to-movie adaptations like sponge out of water and peanuts movie had nothing going for them.
they were watchable yeah, but they weren't movies. they were extended episodes.

Suga Mama Prime is superior, yes.
If only The Proud Family Online lasted longer.
