So what's her backstory again? Also Donna thread

...

There was a Donna thread earlier this week, but here, have an updated crop

user , the question is who is the best wonder couple
Donna-roy
artemis-jason
Diana-steve
Cassie-kon

...

>this
>great choice

There's already a Wonder Woman thread. A Donna thread seems a little redundant at this point.

artemis and rason

I like how this artist draws faces.

Donna-Terry Long

BASED

>Dude makes a sidekick team up book, saw a young Wonder Woman from a front page.

>Another guy in the room to go that's not Wondy's sidekick, that's just a younger version of her.

Eh fuck it ensues and shit right?

this is weird

I'm more interested in her plot if you know what I mean

That's pretty much it. One guy wasn't aware that Wonder Girl was like Superboy - the adult character as a teenager. They had to make her "Donna" and she has had ~6 "WHO IS SHE" stories since.

It didn't help that after COIE, Wonder Woman got completely rebooted so that she only arrived in Man's World in the "present", immediately after the Crisis, yet Donna had already been around as a member of the Titans.

...who is she then.

>faces.
Why the plural?

The artist has done other pieces. I think they're the same one that did the "Snu Snu" Wondy piece. Have never known the name of the artist, though. If anyone knows, help a brother out.

stjepan sejic. He's working on Aquaman right now.

>stjepan sejic
Thanks! A part of me wants him to do 34.

>>Another guy in the room to go that's not Wondy's sidekick, that's just a younger version of her.

Come again?

>part of me wants him to do 34

Well, gee, user, have I got good news for you!

some guy thought Young Wonder Woman was a different hero so he decided to use her in the Teen Titans book. After realizing the fuck up they had to create a new origin on the spot
from incarnation her origins have been confusing. really funny how that worked out

>Artist
>Not do porn
seriously

I know that.

He has a lesbian BDSM/Other stuff comic called "Sunstone" that you should look in to.

>So what's her backstory again?

Why don't you tell us what YOU think her backstory is, so we can tell you you're right.

...

This was probably my favorite Donna origin, mostly because Dick actually does some good investigative work

>no donna and dick

Come on now.

I don't get what's so complicated, she's the younger sister of Wonder Woman. The fucking end.

Why does everyone keep on trying to rewrite her origin?

Hell, I'll storytime it
I'm not that user, but I do like Dick and Donna interactions, but they are very close to actually being siblings.

>Capcha: Troya
woah

...

...

Of course, this is the origin that got tossed out when COIE happened. Diana was new to Man's World, and thus Donna being saved by her stopped fitting into the timeline

This is Marv complimenting himself

...

...

...

Most teen heroes can't escape shitty rewritten origins
the Young Justice team got destroyed in New 52 Teen Titans
DC probably thinking rewriting these C-listers will get fans interested

The End....until Crisis on Infinite Earths and the five part "Who is Donna Troy" origin

I didn't even know that was ever her origin.

and people say Hawkman is confusing
at least all his origins are easily tied together the reincarnation thing
but this? its just an endless stream of retcons

...

These pages are fucking amazing.

I used to think Perez was good. Then I saw some of his Wondy work and my face was blown off. That shit is incredible.

Donna-Me

current origin is "clay-doll-made-flesh magic weapon made by the Amazons because REASONS"

But I'm partial to the Hypercrisis version: she's a space-time anomaly and Reality keeps changing her origin to try to justify her existence.

The whole purpose of Donna Troy's existence is to give birth to the Primordial god, Chaos. He set the whole thing up eons in advance and left nothing to possibility.

I love how, standing alone, it's a really sweet story about a young man helping a dear friend shine a light on her past, but the robin outfit and the sunkist-colored alien chick in the picture frame remind you that this is still comics.

.. what is Aunt May doing in a Donna Troy costume?

Back in the Crack, er, I mean, Golden age, they used to run stories of Wonder Woman as a teenager, growing up on Paradise Island. Also stories of Wonder Tot, aged 3 or 4.
Then someone had the bright of idea of featuring all her incarnations together via some time-travel technobabble.

After Wonder Woman's annihilation at the end of CoIE they realized they'd written themselves into a corner. The alternate Earths, reboots, and retcons are all attempts to get out from under. Patches on patches on patches until now DC "history" is more of a jury-rig than MS Windows.

Same. I really wish writers would just stick to this and play around with it. Goodness knows Donna could use a plotline that isn't MUH ORIGINS. Have her go on some wacky multiverse adventures or something.

>Have her go on some wacky multiverse adventures or something.
ITT, Countdown.
Just have her becoming completely unfazed by the constantly changing origins.

Turn it into a gag or something, while having the various Greater Forces of the Universe looking the other way when she's around or at least unable to actually perceive her unless they are actively trying.

Love it. But should it remain low key, or are we going full on killing Kenny?

I'd say low-key, mostly through the character profiles at the start of the books changing every story arc or so. One reference once in a while, like scans showing her as a half-mermaid once and then as pure-blooded alien 4 issues later- and the New Secret Origins arcs happening always off-screen and just slightly referenced

He is really damn good. I can't think of another artist who was close to him in direct style. Phil Jimenez is close, but not exact.

She's now a weapon the Amazons created in case Diana went off the deep end.

This makes the Clone Saga look like a half-hour sitcom plot

> X created in case Y goes rogue
this is one of those things that works when done sparingly

I really feel like Booth's art is almost good. The proportions are just weird.

I like the idea in this context. There are some Amazons who dislike Diana, so it's not hard to see someone like Alkyone for example putting that kind of scheme together in case The Dragon ever gets uppity.

... Goddamn I miss Alkyone.

This is really solid issue, the thing that really brings this all together though is Perez's artwork, some pages and panels here are amazing

>when the artist's only point of reference for female desire is from porn

Booth's art is okay in still shots like that. But when it comes to composition and action and more than one character all the flaws seriously materialize. Even his still shots are at best a matter of taste.

Booth should work in GL books so he doesn't have to draw humans.
