Imagine being a person who hates them self.
Now imagine being a self-hating person who's only real talent is making something that by definition can never truly be perfect because there's always room to improve and as a result everything you make prior will look like shit to you.
Add to the fact that it will never be valuable unless you talk to the right people and they like your shit, and often at times, we don't even get paid what we're worth.
Coming from a self-hating artist, who would take over somebody elses body and mind in a heartbeat, I think it's just simply in our nature to have crippling self-hate and insecurity that makes us very likely to lash out now and then. Hell, I have a few other artist friends who I would have never suspected capable of feeling sadness.
After all, it's not like our entire worth is determined by how people perceive us and our art.
