I don't

Because I want too.

because I watch cartoons

They're good

We're all losers who read and or watch things for kids, why does it matter

Because they won't bother learning another language than English.

>We're all losers who read and or watch things for kids, why does it matter
Hey man, even dung beetles are picky about the shit they roll around.

Because I like comedy, and English speaking countries make the best comedy by far. The ability to present interesting and well-executed sitcoms (which is the primary content of US animation since the TV era) is something that is taken for granted because Anglo culture is so dominant.

>tfw here as a kid and now I can vote, drive, smoke etc

>English speaking countries make the best comedy by far
The British

Even as a kid there was just shit that was too bad to even stomach

Fpbp

because only pedos watch euro cartoons.
I don't even think euro kids watch euro cartoons.

>Code Lyoko
>Wakfu
>Dragon hunters
>Titeuf
>Kid paddle
>Malo Korrigan
>Foot2rue
>Totally Spies
All French kids grew up with that, al least in the 2000's

>Kid Paddle
>Totally Spies!
These two are Canadian co-productions. Only reason I, for one, ever watched them.

In fact US screenwriters for animation are also the second-best at drama, after the Japanese that is.
Other countries simply can't compete there either.

Haha no
Take a look at CN and say that again

All new cartoons are complete shit right now literally everywhere.

I'm talking about years ago.

Because they show freedom.

>literally everywhere
Name one non-anglo show as bad as modern American cartoons.
I wait

Why are you replying to my post, as if this is a follow up to my comments on comedy? Drama in (Western) TV animation is mostly irrelevant and often a hindrance. Shows today like to throw some in elements of drama in to spice things up for the more clingy fans who are expecting a broader story. Only a few Western animated shows like Bojack Horseman pull it off well. Japan is "better" at drama in TV animation, because that is what they focus the most on.

>Name one non-anglo show as bad as modern American cartoons.
Right here. With a side bonus of being better than both the shows from your pic, not just one of them

There's a difference between laughing at their jokes and laughing at how bad they butcher their own language.

These memes dance a thing line between a joke and bitter bitching, this one really dances the line into bitter

I hear that Witch was good. It looked alright, and the writing didn't seem bad. But, it wasn't enough to catch my interest to watch regularly. I had heard that the comic is better. It is from my understanding not as child friendly.

>Why are you replying to my post, as if this is a follow up to my comments on comedy?
Because it is one?
>Drama in (Western) TV animation is mostly irrelevant and often a hindrance.
Yeah, fuck off. Mid-2000s cartoons pulled off drama spectacularly in many cases.
>Shows today like to throw some in elements of drama in to spice things up for the more clingy fans who are expecting a broader story.
The fact that screenwriters have lost their touch right across the board since then doesn't change what I just said one bit.
>Only a few Western animated shows like Bojack Horseman pull it off well.
You're forgetting the magnum opus of Western animation.
>Japan is "better" at drama in TV animation, because that is what they focus the most on.
More like because they have both culture and talent.

...

>I had heard that the comic is better.
It's not, it has some serious writing problems.
>It is from my understanding not as child friendly.
The show gets quite fucking dark at times.

>expected a comfy slice-of-life
>got a comfy war drama

this is the only legitimate reason. It's rare for someone here to praise cartoons for art direction, themes or story beats, it's mainly the jokes and character design

>You're forgetting the magnum opus of Western animation.
Which is?...

Because I live here and it's easy?

Right over here:

This show is one of the few that actually deserve the word "comfy"

>Italian cartoon
You're proving the point again

Comedy is the integrum of man, and is appreciated by only the highest of societies throughout history. We don't acknowledge this fact because there is an abundance of it today. Interestingly enough, comedy is the most difficult to discuss on an analytic level, compared to drama, or anything else.

how good is it? sounds interessting and looks cute

It's not Italian. The production is French, but the writing (most important) is American.

The original (shittier) comics are Italian, though.

Really good. You should watch it.

Nope, comedy through History was mainly a way for losers to criticize those more successful than themselves, and society as a whole.

It is the virgin genre by excellence

That sweet, sweet irony.

Sup Forums is popular because of comedy, by the way.

Look at this cute pupper.

>anime site
>popular because of comedy
user, you okay?

>not populat because epic meeeeeems

Sup Forums is popular because it's anonymous. You can steam off, saying whatever you want without consequence.

Also there's no nickname or avatar shit, so posting is more focused on the content itself rather than e-celebrity building.

Your points both tie into each other. The anonymity and ability to let loose is why this place can be so hilarious

Ban for this autismal faggot when?

You first, spammer.

Come to think of it, you're probably evading from yesterday.

>spammer
Oh, the irony. Fuck off with your garbage cartoon already.

Nah, Sup Forums is intended to be a Western clone of 2chan (which isn't an anime site) and has elements of Murrican sites like sa.

Unlike you, I don't spam. I add to the discussion.
>garbage cartoon
It's the best cartoon ever made, so if you think so I'm not sure what you're doing on Sup Forums at all really.

>Unlike you, I don't spam.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>I add to the discussion.
The only thing you ever "add" is your obnoxious autism.
>It's the best cartoon ever made
Newsflash: even if you repeat that asinine garbage ten hundreds more times it won't come true, so shut the fuck up already.
> I'm not sure what you're doing on Sup Forums at all really.
Not shitting up the board. You should try it. Of course you should also try offing yourself, but you seem to be slow on the uptake about that.

It's not true because I said so, it's true because of all of these reasons (that I've posted before):
>epic, overarching action-adventure story with one major plotline per season
>strict continuity, even the few fillerish episodes contribute significantly
>fantasy and mundane plots both largely avoid clichés, brilliant foreshadowing
>characters feel incredibly natural, stereotypes not really used or subverted
>main characters are female but aren't treated differently in narrative terms
>friendships with lasting bonds, very rare fights over important issues only
>relationships that feel deep and meaningful, even those with less screentime
>worldbuilding that's quite creative but also consistent and not disorienting
>easily goes suggestive or dark in truly subversive ways, but only when it fits
>animesque character designs with beautiful animation, and an amazing soundtrack

Get a fucking trip so I could filter you and your moronic posts (like the one I'm replying to) already.

It's what's on tv usually

I don't care about the provenance; only if the cartoon is good.

>Great pacing

Please rewatch City of Stone.

Because even though most of them are shit, they're still better than french and japanese trash.

Because non-American (and non-Japanese) cartoons are made for film festivals (just like their movies). They all are boring "art for the sake of art" fragments.
And I'm not artsy enough to enjoy festival films.

OP pic is a tv show on a preschool channel

Fuck this guilt ridden, hypocritical, 1968-tard show
Let kids be kids for fuck sake

>after the Japanese that is.

Japs are one of the worst writers known to man.

They make the best ones. Their humor resonates with me.

(You)

>Les boches sont pas que des méchants

Mais bon, si ça te fait chier vas te revoir La grande vadrouille pour la 532346è fois ou reste dans tes mangasses.

Modern cartoons can't make me laugh
And it's not nostalgia because old cartoons are funny
Hell even when I stumble upon an episode of a show that I never watched as a kid and I watch it now it's funny and I laugh, even with shows I barely remember

It top tier.

Comfy rural location, well animated, good voicing in French and English dub, pulls no punches in being a war drama but doesn't fall into Oscar bait style "everything is sad".

I find it a little funny how society views people who watch cartoons, while most people who don't watch cartoons don't really watch intelligent shit either.

Brainlet here; what's this cartoon's name?

Les grandes grandes vacances (The big big holidays)

Thanks a lot user.

Has it been subbed or dubbed for english?

But the comic is pretty good m8

i don't.
Everything is unwatchable or just plain bad.
Mostly just stick with anime and Netflix shows now.

The Kid Paddle comic is so vastly superior that the cartoon was unwatchable to me

Subbed yes.

I like the mix between 3d and 2d, they are trying the same thing with Ernest and Celestine but I don't think there is a translation and my french is very poor.

It has been dubbed
