All this year I'll be storytiming Punisher comics. Most of them will be from the pre-Ennis era, but a few'll be from the Ennis era as well. Expect at least 1 storytime per week.
Over the past week+ I've been storytiming all of the 80s/90s Punisher Annuals, both from his main series and in War Zone. You can read them all here:
The Punisher Annual #1-7 The Punisher War Zone Annual #1-2 Today we're going to read a team-up miniseries with The Punisher and Captain America, called "Blood & Glory".
It features some REALLY nice art by Klaus Janson, who drew the first 5 issues of Mike Baron's run on The Punisher, and a script by D.G. Chichester and Margaret Clark.
The story itself is about a big elaborate far-stretching political conspiracy, which both The Punisher and Captain America end up getting involved in involuntarily. It's big and complex and has all kinds of shit going on. You'll probably dig it. Plus it looks fucking amazing. Few people drew The Punisher better than Klaus Janson ever did.
Plus I was able to find some high quality scans, so this shit just looks NICE in general.
