Mexicans fucking love Speedy, and it ain't hard to see why. He's goodhearted, brave, and clever. Dude's a hero and easy to root for, and a movie would not only be easy as piss to do, but would make mad bank in Mexico.
Pepe le Pew on the other hand, is a rude, arrogant serial sexual harasser and probable rapist. Nobody likes this piece of shit, and a movie would never get greenlit because producers aren't THAT stupid.

In the 90s there was an attempt on Warner Bros part to downplay Speedy and a bunch of Mexicans got really pissed off about it.
Mexicans are pretty bro, they usually don't give a fuck about stereotypes and shit. As long as you show up with Corona and don't build a wall they're chill as fuck.
But yeah if there was ever any hope for a Pepe Le Pew movie in this day and age, the final nail in the coffin was hammered by the time Harvey Weinstein got called out.

yes, Speedy is a stereotype, but its one done right: Happy, active and smart. The evil guy in his cartoons was the "gringo" cat Sylvester, and this dynamic tapped into a widespread feeling among mexicans: We dont like americans coming to our land and acting like assholes.
