All this year I'll be posting Punisher comics. Most of them will be from the pre-Ennis era, but some will be from the Ennis era. Expect at least 1 storytime per week.
So far this week I've posted a bunch of team-up comics with The Punisher teaming-up with various characters, all of which you can read in these threads:
Captain America:
Wolverine: Batman: Today we're going to read a "graphic novel" (#74 in the "Marvel Graphic Novel" series) called "Spinning Doomsday's Web" where The Punisher teams up with Black Widow.
It's written by D.G. Chichester and drawn by penciler Larry Stroman and inker Mark Farmer, who do a weird style that looks like a cross between early 90s comics and Mike Mignola. It's actually pretty cool looking. I also simply cannot go without mentioning the color work by Gloria Vasquez, which is utterly fucking fantastic. I normally don't have much to say about coloring in comics, since so little of it is even noteworthy, but this is excellent stuff. I think she might have even used watercolors on this? Either way, it's just really fucking nice looking. There's also a REALLY well done painted cover by the legendary Earl Norem.
The story itself is basically just butt shots and explosions (that's not a complaint). We also get to see Black Widow with a mustache, so there's that.
I kinda like this art style. Definitely like Natasha's look.

Anybody else reading The Platoon?
Nathan Smith
Excellent cover. Earl Norem is an obscenely underrated artist. One of the best of the "fantasy artist painters" that worked on comics (usually covers) back in the 70s and 80s (and beyond in his case). Also did some really spectacular He-Man related art for various Masters of the Universe related packaging and promotional material.
Julian Sullivan
I almost thought that was Microchip at first.
Connor James
>dat ass >dat ASS >DAT ASS
Henry Fisher
>decapitates a dude with a BEAR TRAP
How in the fuck would that even work? He didn't even use it on him, he just swung it at him like a baseball bat.
Adam Reed
nice ass shot
Brayden Ross
DAT ASS
Brayden King
This is hands down the hottest version of Black Widow ever. The amount of ass in this comic is out of control.

>that mustache
this has to be somebody's fetish
Nolan Harris
This should just be called "Black Widow's Ass: The Comic".
Jose Cook
It really is. How ironic that Nat's best color is white.
Luke Baker
Probably the best ass shot in the entire comic. 10/10 artistic masterpiece. That ass should be in a museum.
Adam Bell
And then her ass just inflates. They clearly were doing this on purpose.
Connor Kelly
The ass just will not stop.
Nathan Collins
Did she just chop his dick off?
Jack Gomez
This comic was clearly founded on the principle that there can never be too much ass.
Gabriel Gray
The art is the best part about the book.
Jason Rivera
bumping for others

Am I the only one who unironically misses "deluxe format" comics like this?
Jaxon Anderson
I have no idea what this is supposed to be but I don’t see a SLAM there. And it’s my second favorite insane Cold War superweapon.
Andrew Clark
Y!
Sebastian Howard
Seeing Black Widow on the cover just reminded me why I was disappointed with that Marvel Legends rerelease on the retro 90's Toy Biz package design; they forgot that Black Widow in the 90's had short hair and a grey suit.
Hunter Rodriguez
thx op
Robert Wright
Very specific and I really don’t get what it’s doing here.
Parker Gray
Not just that, look how he's holding it. As soon as the trap springs when it hits the guy's head, the man wielding it would have his hand crushed.
Brayden Watson
What's the first?
Isaac Morris
Did Nat do something to Nick's cigar?
Easton Foster
Natasha used to have a different origin that the room and being a trained killer since childhood?
Alexander Garcia
Now she suddenly feels bad about killing? She didn't seem to care when she was shooting henchmen earlier.
Logan Sanders
No problem.
Owen Davis
NEW STORYTIME:
Ryan Rodriguez
I wonder how intentional that was.
Carter Ross
Utterly unintentional. The artist clearly had nothing lewd in mind while drawing this comic.
Sebastian Martinez
I’m having a brain fart and don’t remember the name for it, basically a reactor that uses itself as rocket propellant. Really efficient at throwing massive bombs at the Russians but so incredibly dirty that you’d only ever launch it when you don’t care because everything will be dead anyway.
James Johnson
Clearly.
Eli Bell
well that just sounds insane
Jacob Phillips
>expecting Marvel to care about their own history or continuity
Daniel Campbell
Not that guy, but thanks for the response.
Logan Foster
What's with all these punished story times, what th efuck is going on?
Carter Lee
Are there any being posted aside from this series of storytimes?
Hudson Morgan
Was this the best version of Black Widow's costume?
