Is the electoral college good or bad for democracy?

Should Clinton of won?

Haha, I remember when he posted this, ironic. One of the few tweets he got wrong. Everything else maaaaan, dude is a fucking prophet.

>Should Clinton of won?
What?

>of
Didn't you make this language?

having an electoral college makes us a republic, not a democracy

The Electoral map is infinitely better than the Popular vote.

The electoral vote is about the majority of the states, not individual votes. You can have a state like California which is overpopulated , it will always give an edge in the popular vote. But that is not a representative of all the states of the union

Don't listen to the "Popular vote" meme, even the Democrats know it's flawed. They're just bitter that it bit them in the ass once again.

You can pander all you want to the spics and niggers in California but if you don't reach outside of your liberal bubble in other, more disenfranchised states like Wisconsin and Michigan, then you're gonna lose BIGLY

>of

Fucking kill yourself, Hamid

democracy can go to hell the founding fathers hated it

muh constitutional republic is better

>Should Clinton of won?

No, she should be in prison

...

>Should Clinton of won?
Go back to whatever shithole in the Middle East you crawled out from, Mohammed

He would have won earlier in the night without it lol.

Pls have cancer

You know popular vote works better

>Should Clinton of won?

Electoral College is shit
But "Popular Vote" is even worse.

It allows democrats to just fill cities with their voters and commit massive voter fraud

>You know popular vote works better

Except it doesn't and even the left know it doesn't hence why they've never really outright tried to replace the system.

It's ok Canadacuck, Trump might reconsider nuking your liberal cesspool of a Country

And democracy would have been a disaster for America

Like it worked in Germany in 1930s? :^)

>Don't listen to the "Popular vote" meme, even the Democrats know it's flawed. They're just bitter that it bit them in the ass once again.
They never push this for real because they know what would happen
Republicans would start courting the popular vote again instead of working for electors
This means Republicans would seriously fight for votes in Democratic strongholds like CA, NY and MA
This means Dem seats that have been safe for generations would suddenly come under fire
The current system benefits Democrats as much as it benefits Republicans

Those are the rules and he won by those rules.
An alternative is amending the constitution.
I have a feeling that people would complain no matter what, though.
The current system was intended to allow states quasi-autonomy.

Electoral college works, but the census counts illegals when calculating electoral vote distributions for the states.

Also consider the fraud that occurs in most states and the absence of voter ID laws.

Less than a 0.2% difference. Closest election in history. This is why we have electoral college, so there is a clear winner.

>The United States of America
>The People's Republic of America
