New Mickey Mouse short

"The Perfect Dream":

Why are these aftually funny while all the stuff walt made was fucking dull shit? I used to hate mickey before these shorts just because of how annoying he was.

...did Mickey just suffocate a phone

Fuck flash looks so terrible

It was a mercy kill.

Nothing personnel phone.

3/10, no waifus for Golly to draw

I feel that Disney now knows that comedy is more profitable for these shorts than just simple animations. Just look at all the funny family sitcoms we have to endure on Disney channel now

But those arent funny. If they had the same comedy as these shorts theyd be more popular or just stop making sitcom shit and replace it with more cartoons, just like nick shouldve done for years because only tween girls like dan schnider shit

>Mickey suffocating the phone in cold blood.

A+ as always

porn fucking WHEN?!

Here's your (you)

There are a lot of genuinely funny Mickey shorts from the Black&White era. Problem is that Mickey became a "role model" and corporate mascot right around the switch to color, which is also when Donald became popular. It created the perfect storm of artists not giving a shit about Mickey anymore and saving all their best gags for Donald, resulting in dull Mouse shorts for decades.

These new shorts are funny the way that better Mickey comics are funny (even if the cartoons used much "cartoonier" situations).

They've basically NAILED what we comics fans have known for years (and yes, the bw Mickey shorts have the same advantages).

I always loved donald the best as a kid
Well im glad, television cartoons seem to be the only good thing disney makes these days

>Mickey is the mascot of a corporate behemoth but lives in a shitty apartment next to Pete

I love these shorts.

tyme 2 fappe

I don't know, I'm just not getting blown away by them like in the start. I remember watching Mumbai Madness 8 times in a row.

>Shit Taste: The Post

>proving his point

Anyone else agree that Minnie's smile here almost makes her look like a Dav Pilkey drawing?

Because Minnie tore his house down in the previous short.

Not surprising. Most shit art does tend to look alike.

Does anyone else find it weird how the Mickey Mouse shorts have completely assimilated the Ren & Stimpy style, which Kricfalusi developed in part as a rebuke to Disney classicism?

Lonesome Ghosts is GOAT but not at all because of Mickey.

These shorts are always such a delight

>No waifus this time
pretty fun tho

>forgetting the legs

>didn't even watch the short
And while we're on the subject of waifus, did pic related ever get any art?

>Captain Underpants
>shit

kek

I wonder if John K is happy about it. He loves funny cartoons but hates people aping his style.

Disney made funny shit again only by apeing someone who was himself apeing older funny shit.

Still, the actual designs of Mickey, Minnie, and Donald are really appealing and sometimes cute in these shorts, which John K's characters aren't.

(Not that that's a problem; just a difference between these and John K.)

>shit
>underpants

Didn't Mick have his own house, not an apartment?

Literally different in every episode. ZERO continuity for everything, where he lives, his relationship with Minnie, etc. 1000x episodic. As it should be.

Minnie tore his house down in the previous episode, the Birthday Song.

Irrelevant. Have you seen how many different houses/apartments they've lived in in that series?

it's Toon Boom you fucking neanderthals

And sometimes they live in different countries and time periods.

Mickey and Minnie's costumes are from The Brave Little Tailor.

Why is Mickey's place such a dump in this short?

...

Because it's funny.

no

>more ugly cheap animation

Disney pls

Mercury Filmworks literally has the best Toon Boom tween-based animation in the industry, don't act like a retard simply because it isn't frame by frame.

But those are just legs. What could you do with just legs?

>not a leg man
