So how is Deadpool going to fit in the MCU? Wouldn't his film break the timeline?

So how is Deadpool going to fit in the MCU? Wouldn't his film break the timeline?

He'll just be there like nothing happened and pretend he was there the entire time

Up to and including them editing him into famous shots like the Avengers spin

He won't appear in other movies. Others will cameo in his movies. He'll have his own continuity. Or maybe feige will be smart and do x-force vs mojo and a mojo won't send the team home, he'll send them to the MCU after.

Yep, just retcon himself

Deadpool practically transcends continuity

They won't put him in the MCU. The deal fell through

You'll be kidding yourself if Deadpool won't be on the Avengers lineup.

>Wouldn't his film break the timeline?
How exactly? The end of the movie makes it clear that it happened after Cap 2 since they're fighting on a fallen Helicarrier.

They were fighting on a helicarrier, and I guess Bob retired from Hydra.

Deadpool is really the only character you don't need an expansion for

>It's literally shots from the previous films, just with Deadpool edited into them.
>Even when it does make sense.

Ryan Reynolds out of the role

>the edit is extremely obvious

You'd need Colossus and Negasonic on the X-Men team by then.

>After credits scene of Infinity War part 2
>Death talking to someone offscreen
>"I could never love Thanos, my true love is you"
>Camera spins to Deadpool
>Quip

There's almost zero chance of his crossing over. By the time it would be possible to make a real MCU Deadpool movie, Reynolds would be in his 50s. Schedule's full.

>but cameos

Possible! And possible that they'll work the other way around for his next movie, assuming it gets made. But not a given even if the FOX sale is waved through by regulators, precisely because it's going to break the timeline. Nobody wants the headache of trying to fit the fucking X_mong continuity into the MCU. For them, it's probably going to be a reboot, assuming they ever get used at all as an MCU property.

>but bumping other movies

Listen, FOX may become part of Disney and may continue to stick to its existing release schedule, which would then include releasing Marvel movies like Deadpool and X-Men. But it won't be making any more FF movies (not that that was ever really a plan), and those movies it does make won't be MCU movies. This isn't just an opportunity to reclaim the rights to characters - it's an opportunity for Disney to decide whether FOX has helped or hindered Marvel Studios grosses. What they're not going to do is bump a new MCU film from the existing schedule for a FOX/Marvel joint. You have to remember how badly the FOX movies have hurt the FF as a viable property - they'll be lucky to get a Netflix show. In five years.

Probably they'll find the X-Men a home as a tv show - for extra shits and giggles they could rebrand it Mutant X.

he's a literal joke character so nobody will care about the inconsistency

he'll crack a joke about it the first time he shows up, the MCU characters won't know what he's talking about and the scene will move on

>there are people who think Deadpool will be part of the MCU

You people are ao fucking delusional. The marketing campaign alone disqualifies him

>pg-13 Deadpool
It's rated R already no turning that ship around

>it’s just a bandly drawn picture of Deadpool post over fight scenes

How much you want to bet the post-credits scene of Deadpool 2 will reference the Disney buyout in some way?

>Deadpool dubs himself in to Cap's speech during the fight against the chitauri.

Iron Man: [as the fight begins] Call it, Captain!

Captain America: Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal, our priority's containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or you turn it to ash.

Hawkeye: [to Iron Man] Want to give me a lift?

Iron Man: Right. Better clench up, Legolas.

[Iron Man takes Hawkeye up to the roof]

Captain America: Thor, you gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow 'em down. You got the lightning. Light the bastards up.

[Thor swings his hammer and flies off and Captain America turns to Black Widow]

Captain America: You and me, we stay here on the ground, keep the fighting here. And
[wade's voice] Dead Pool [/wade]
>Cardboard standee of Deadpool edited in to the footage.
Captain America: Smash!

I don't know why people are so confused. Hes up in Canada or wherever and just not involved in any big super hero shit.

He has a fight on top of a Helicarrier at a Junkyard. You really don't have to do anything.

Someone call Feige.

>Nobody wants the headache of trying to fit the fucking X_mong continuity into the MCU
Deadpool is his own continuity. Negasonic isn't in the Fox X-men continuity, and the Colossus is an entirely different actor. Deadpool is not connected to Fox X-men.

Solid Snake and Bayoneta were in Smash Bros, doesn't prevent Deadpool from going PG-13 now and then. They even put him in kids cartoons.

Guaranteed

Reminds me when Logan came out and people made fake Deadpool post credits scenes, and one was a hammer being flung at Deadpool and he said "We're going to Disneyworld"

...kind of ironic now.

I would love it if it was a really obvious green screen, and Deadpool isn't even lit the same way as the rest of the scene and he's reacting to stuff, like one of those late night skits.

>credits end
>blank screen
>Deadpool walks out wearing mouse ears and says nothing
>cut to black

>Solid Snake and Bayoneta were in Smash Bros
How is that relevant? Disney and Feige said that that all Marvel movies will be PG13. The only way they use Deadpool is if they nix the entire Ryan Reynolds Deadpool franchise. The movie rating system is really fucked and will take into account the characters franchise so if he shows up in Avengers they won't get PG rating

Me? Kidding myself? How and it what way does deadpool joining the avengers even make sense. It's not happening.

>How is that relevant? Disney and Feige said that that all Marvel movies will be PG13.
You are not up to date. Feige already stated that R rated is fine "as long as we give sufficient warning to the audience in advance". Go do some reading of recent interviews.

It's placed in the future.

You really think Marvel would pass up the chance to have a character who gets $700 million, without the aid of China, in a roster that could have Spider-Man and Wolverine on it?

Deadpool is going to be milked so hard, and Deadpool on the Avengers is going to happen.

Low energy. Sad.

>Deadpool is going to be milked so hard, and Deadpool on the Avengers is going to happen.
Sounds like a good porno.

First of all, they said they'll still do R-Rated Deadpool films.
Second, why do people act like characters can't tone down swearing? Like, you can easily have Deadpool in a PG-13 setting the same way Deadpool is in cartoons. It's not like swearing is that intrinsic to Deadpool's character in the comics.

And it what movie did Colossus and Negasonic join the X-men?

It's not going to and anyone who thinks they're keeping the Deadpool movies as they are is out of their mind

The excessive swearing worsened the movie anyway. They were tge only unfunny gags.

>makes more money than anyone ever
>let's stop making them
DP2 will test if things are changing

>Deadpool:"OO! LET ME! EVERY PG13 MOVIE GETS JUST ONE F BOMB, LET ME DROP IT, PLEEEASE?"
>>Iron Man:"Ladies and Gentlemen, we're fucked."
>Deadpool:"You drunken ass son of a-"
>Jump cut.

Ok I wasn't a fan of all the swearing in deadpool but that would be kino.

>deadpool in the slow mo ligtening strike from doctor strange

We all know the X-Men timeline is fucked. Even DOFP and Apocalypse contradict what happens to Wolverine.

But the MCU has been relatively straightforward in its timeline and tries to fix errors in continuity. Which is why Deadpool kinds of breaks it.

Has any MCU film used the F-Word after the Disney buyout? Cause I only remember Iron Man 2 using it when that politician goes "Fuck you Tony Stark"

obviously it'll need some reboot/dimention traveling shinanigans rather than just rope the canon in, like spidey

honestly just save him for a Thunderbolts movie, quarantine him with all the other edgy Marvel characters to play off of

This. Other characters in deadpool but not deadpool in other films (maybe a tiny ass cameo)

Holy shit no he won't. That would be suicide for the mcu. He might make the films but he won't be on the team.

Only if he returns to play hal jordan again.

You could replace it with shit I guess.

Wasn't Fiege and it was about non-MCU properties

Marketing campaign alone disqualifies him.

They would plaster him everywhere being on the Avengers. You know they'd do it.

The smart teamup play for Deadpool is to use him to help sell the newly recast Wolverine in an R-rated Weapon X movie.

Wolverine is the only reacquired Fox character audiences would resist being recast (aside from Deadpool himself), so Deadpool would be a natural fit in a film reintroducing him.

Throw in Omega Red, Sabretooth and the whole thing sells itself.

You'd see it, I'd see it, everyone would see it, it would likely make at least Homecoming money.

They'll just assume Deadpool 1 happened. It had a Helicarrier in it.

I have no idea what Deadpool 2 is going to be like though.

user, you've kinda answered your own question. If the X-men timeline is too fucked to add to the MCU without just rebooting it all, and Deadpool is part of the X-men timeline, then what is going to happen with Deadpool? Really use your noggin here. I'm sure you can do it.

Or better yet... there's a REALLY obvious mustache CGI'ed onto the top of the Deadpool mask. The 'stache falls off at some point, and he picks it up, slaps it back on, and says "Gotta keep this. Tom Cruise insisted!"

Deadpool outsold the rest of the X-Men franchise. I"m sure people would get mad if they rebooted it.

I hope Domino gets killed. What a disappointing casting.

No way he is appearing in avengers 3, 4 or 5. 3 and 4 are busy enough with infinity shit. 5 will be some new team and need to do its own thing and not pull in assloads of characters. So what, avengers 6? some time in 2025? Even still, I doubt it, deadpool will be doing his own thing and x-men movies. Maybe a cameo, maybe. He's not joining the team. No. Screenshot this. If deadpool if has as much screen time in an avengers movie as say hawkeye in avengers 1 I'll drink my own piss.

>Deadpool is part of the X-men timeline
Nothing in the films suggests this. It just has x men.

Didn't homecoming have those teenagers playing fuck marry kill (and fuck anybody who has a problem with that scene)

They said "F thor" not "fuck"

Well, her stuntdriver did.

The same establishing shot used in previous x-men movies at the x-men certainly does suggest it. I think you're looking for the word confirms, as nothing confirms it.

>and fuck anybody who has a problem with that scene
kill yourself

Screw you.

marry me
