THIS IS NOT A DRILL RUGRATS COULD BE COMING BACK

geeks.media/negotiations-are-underway-for-the-return-of-rugrats-and-it-may-be-the-real-deal-this-time

This is the real deal guys

I really wish networks would give new shows an opportunity instead of trying to rehash their old shows for nostalgia points. And this coming from someone who enjoyed watching rugrats as a child.

>Even more grown up
>They’re shitty college students
>Chucky is Banging Kimmy and they have to hide it from their parents

Unless the original writers and staff from the first three (read: only good) seasons comes back, this isn't worth getting excited over.

Post hiatus Rugrats was shit. Dill and Kimi just buries it.

Reminder that Chuckie's VA is dead.

Thank you. So many people forget there was an entire season of shit before Dil was introduced.

So is Stu's.

As far as I'm concerned, Rugrats ceased to exist after the Passover episode. Everything after that leading up to the movie is shitty, but low key shitty in a sneaky way. You can tell there's something wrong with it, but you can't quite put your finger on it. Then Dil shows up and it gets unbearable, then Kimmy comes and it might as well be a corpse.

Kids are going to find those Drew Pickles is gay Barney Bunch videos.

Holy shit is this really hapening?

The Dil and Kimi episodes were good though, not as good as thhe original episodes but they're fairly decent

no, fuck this

they had their time, TWICE and NOWADAYS no kids would fucking watch rugrats.

just keep it dead, ok assholes?

WTF

Can confirm: It’s coming back.

Chuckie is dead. It wouldn't feel the same.

Rugrats was never good.
This is probably going to piss off the nostalgiafags but it's the truth.

Oh boy I hope it looks just like the comics.

this is porn isn't it

That's the thing though. Why invest in a new show when you can use the tried and true one? It's not like the people who watched Rugrats back when it aired are gonna watch the new episodes. Just reboot it every ten years and you're guaranteed to have a new audience who's never seen Rugrats before.

Reminder to everyone that if a thread about a revival of a 90's cartoon accompanied with a link to a dubious source is made, it was most likely made by timbox, a ban evading spammer who should be reported at every possible opportunity.

Nope.

Actually, Rugrats getting a revival was planned with Nick for years. Also if you read the article, it doesn't sound anything near like his autism.

>Rugrats has a ton of nostalgiafagging hipsters and shit now
>Can't really work in modern times
>All the good voices are dead
It's Power Puff Girls reboot all over again, that and Rugrats hasn't been good since post mid 90s. Just watch, they'll fuck it up by trying too hard to target the nostalgia audience, if anything, it would probably be a funny idea if you made a show where they were full on adults, just like that art that one of the story board artists drew up a year or so ago

I wouldn't say it was never good, but it did get more attention than it probably deserved. Real Monsters was the better Klasky Nicktoon.

what shitty webcomic artist is doing this, the stye looks familiar

oh god please no

>Chuckie's VA is dead
sudden infant death syndrome is nothing to joke about

It was OK. I only rewatch it now and then for nostalgia purposes. I can't stand the movie or any episodes past that. Even All Grown Up is better than post-movie Rugrats.

>It's a new batch of babies
>Tommy and the gang are their parents

...

This picture always reminds me of that old Medieval art style.

What's up with the recent influx of 90s kids autism posters?

please be joking

Why? Rugrats is a cartoon that makes sense only in the 90s. Everyone, except Angelica's Mother and Father wouldn't translate well in a post 9/11 America.

So Fuller House 2.0

WHICH RUGRAT IS GOING TO BE GAY?

LIL IS MTF TRANS.

>inb4 transgender baby

We already had the grown up episode with Phil pretending to be Lil and seducing some dude what more do you want

Hahaha I forgot about that ep.

I thought Klasky Csupo was dead

Why exactly? Both Stu and Grandpa Lou's VA are dead. And Rugrats has literally been milked to death already. It's Nickelodeon's most milked series. It should stay dead. NOBODY FUCKING ASKED FOR THIS
