Time and time again in each era of Star Wars fans find out that no, Star Wars does not belong to you. TFA gave false hope to fans craving normalcy after the Prequels and stuff from that era like TCW. But they soon remembered they weren't in the clear after Rogue One came out. But it was fine it wasn't a main film and it didn't matter! TLJ just crushed them into realizing what they felt during the last decade of SW before Lucas sold.
These Luke posters are the same ones who cried out when Yoda pulled out a lightsaber. A different Yoda than ESB. Their Clone Wars they spent time thinking about were all nothing theories once Lucas decided what he wanted.
We're back to what I love about Star Wars.

Y'know, I didn't like TLJ when I first saw it. I thought that it was a poorly-made film and the fact that it was Star Wars did not affect my judgement on that. However, I soon realized my wrongdoings in that in not enjoying a Star Wars film, I could not be a Star Wars fan. So I went into my second viewing with a more optimistic mindset. I had surely just been exaggerating the flaws of the movie because I was overhyped. Every time I had a negative thought about a scene, I would repeat to myself, "Based Rian Johnson, Based Rian Johnson" until the thoughts subsided. However, even then, I still had problems with the film. I watched it 3 more times just to ensure these thoughts weren't a fluke. I remained a sinner in the eyes of our lordess Kathleen Kennedy. In search of answers, I proceeded to hound the internet, in search of theories and analysis that would address my concerns. Countless Reddit posts and Youtube analysis videos later, these lovely souls had figured out Star Wars for me. Of course, I realized, the message of the film was about failure. That's why everybody was incompetent. This solved several of the problems I was having with the movie. Upon my 9th viewing, I repeated this observation to the group of teenagers I was sitting next to. They threw popcorn at me and told me to go away. I pity the young who cannot understand TLJ's cinematic undertones and meaning.
I have seen the film 78 times by now. I have memorized each Porg scene and when they are shown in the movie. I make sure to loudly announce "awwwwww" whenever one appears on screen. During the Rey and Kylo scenes, my penis hardens each consecutive interaction until I climax at the exact moment when Anakin's lightsaber breaks. I think I might be a true Star Wars fan now...
