I really don't FEEL anything for this character. There's nothing particularly wrong with him, he's just, ya know, The Guy with the Bow. That's it. That's all there really is to him. Just a guy. With a bow. Like, if you removed him from the movies, what would change? Outside of the farm scene in Weekend at Dulltron's, not a whole lot, really. Does Marvel just not know what to do with him? Or is it a case of too much stuff, not enough space? Will Hawkeye ever be anything more than The Guy with the Bow?

if you remove him from avengers 1, Loki won't get the scepter back and the movie ends there.

>>>/tv

What that have really been a bad thing, though? And why couldn't Loki just have manipulated someone else?

He'll be the dead guy come Infinity War

Who else could do this kind of damage and hack the hellicarrier like that?

They removed his anger issues and cockiness. So he’s just this responsible guy that’s really good with weapons.

Black Widow?
Nick Fury?
Maria Hill?
That guy playing Galaga?
Iron Man?

Galaga Guy was in charge of security

No, he was saying that he want a solo movie a week ago, not gonna happen ofc, neither the Black Widow movie or the all girls marvel movie

>Black Widow?
>Nick Fury?
>Maria Hill?

Not able to do a great deal of damage on the hellicarrier, especially from range.

>That guy playing Galaga?
top tier candidate

>Iron Man?
No intimate knowledge of Shield. Reminder that Hawkguy is the one who got Loki sorted with people to work for him

Neither MCU Hawkeye nor Black Widow are strong enough characters to carry a movie on their own.

He falls into that same category as Green Arrow, Deadshot, Bullseye and a lot of other super-accuracy characters.
If that shit Edgar Wright hadn't been obsessed with finishing his worst movie ever, we'd have had Ant-Man and Wasp instead of him and Black Widow.

Hawkeye's role is that he is the quipster of the team. In the MemeCU everyone is a quipster so he lost his niche.

With the mutants and Fantastic Four and the 3 movies/year rule, I'm not sure if we will see Black Panther 2 or Captain Marvel 2, they maybe redo all that to join movies

The problem is that they went with a sanitized version of Ultimate Hawkeye in the movies, where he's this badass SHIELD Agent++ instead of a 616 Hawkeye, where he's a cocky jackass who decides to be a superhero because he saw Iron Man on TV. Even including the Ultimate Hawkeye family doesn't really help, because they're mostly there for future murdering, including his top tier Linda Cardellini waifu.

It doesn't really help that in Avengers 1, he's brainwashed most of the movie, but even in his subsequent appearances, he's missing a lot of the loud bullheadedness that makes Clint such a standout character.

They may or may not adhere to the 3 movie thing, now that one of their main competitors isn't filling months with Superhero films. Especially if WB keeps putting out 1 or less films a year (and let's hope so).

Both characters have done solo series before that sold well, it's not that difficult.

Black Widow goes on a solo mission that winds up tying into her past, plays out like an espionage thriller like Winter Solider and fleshes out her character.

Some of Hawkeye's old enemies go after his family to settle a score. Story that explores redemption, family responsibilities versus hero responsibility, fall out from civil war and a chance to flesh him out. Plus an excuse to bring in more villains and expand the universe a bit.

I don't think there's room for more than 3 or 4 movies/year: Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, all these will be team characters just like Hulk, the should keep Strange, Spider-Man, GotG and what's left of Avengers after the fourth one also ...

They're already making an Ant Man sequel.

His character was forced to be a dad to appeal to bullshist american sensibilities of the everyday farm owning dad and to appease mandchild dads who are force to endure watching this with their children.

I know, they can't stop that, but all the others .. is just like Dark Phoenix, nobody can't stop that now, but don't expect that they do more ...

Unless a hot new genre becomes the thing, Disney could easily put out 6-7 MCU movies a year without crowding out their other 7-8 films each year. Now they own Fox's physical studio resources on top of their own.

No. Just Whedon self inserting as Bruce so he can be with his waifu Jewess so he gave Clint a family.

so then anyone could've hacked the helicarrier

Disney actually puts out the fewest films of the huge studios, only 8 new films in 2017.
They broke 6 billion in worldwide grosses this year.
