Post unpopular opinions about comics & cartoons ITT
I liked the reveal of Amon being Tarrlok's brother/Yakone's son. Sure it was rushed and could have been handled better but the idea itself is good. Plus the few scenes they had together were some of the most powerful in LoK.
And you're wrong about comics, kids don't read capeshit. At all.

Starfire>Raven Anna>Elsa Both in every way objectively.

SVTFOE is shit It honestly makes SU look godtier in comparison
Wyatt Bailey
duh, but we're on Sup Forums so something went wrong in all of our lives
Joseph Turner
I liked Curse of Shazam, and the name Shazam is a better name than Captain Marvel
Elijah Thompson
After SU ends someone will put up a filler-less Steven Universe Kai mastercut of all the good episodes, a la The Clone Wars. Newfags will start with that list and hold up SU as the pinnacle of story driven continuity heavy western animation.
Carson Williams
Eh at least we know that DC's Cap Marvel is actually a nicer version.
Ian Price
I actually thought the twist itself was fine, the season set up Yakone earlier so it made sense to follow up on that as well as everything concerning Tarrlok. It was the idea of psychic whenever the fuck you want bloodbending and Amon having no motivation to want to wipe out benders that pissed me off.
Levi Miller
It bothers me how true this damn statement is after Im here right now on fucking New Years Eve
Carter Murphy
I don't give a fuck if SVTFOE is actually some god-tier lorebased show like the /sveg/fags claim, I cannot fucking stand ANY of the characters voices so I'll never be able to watch it without wanting to tear off my ears

I wish there were more cute gay boys in comics and cartoons.
Owen Perez
I kind of agree with you but they couldn't done the means/motivation better
Instead of "my daddy was mean to me so now I use water bending in a way no one else has done before", they could have done "my daddy was mean to me so I ran away after killing him, but then I met an ancient spirit in a dark place who taught me all bending was evil and how I could stop it. All he asked in return was my face"
John Ross
shit that's actually perfect
Jordan Parker
It was an incredibly popular fan theory before the reveal
Aiden Wood
Other theories were:
>Amon is actually Aang's spirit returned from the dead; he grew to believe that he had failed in his mission due to the conditions non benders had lived in and had died or been killed young (remember previous avatars/characters lived for CENTURIES no problem) to prevent him from tearing the system down >Amon was the son of Ty Lee, his family were killed by Fire Nation Hardliners or even an escaped Azula >Amon was an agent/disicple of the Lion Turtles >Amon was a failed avatar >Amon was Cabbage Man's son
Ryder Nelson
That's fucking true.
Levi Torres
i still think korra is better off with bolin
Sebastian Hill
So do I, desu. Korra and Mako's problem was that they were both too similar, too confident/smug by half. The epitome of Chad and Stacy
Ryan Hall
Never watched the show (and probably would not be able to enjoy it) but I'll admit I've saved a Peridot pic.
Ryan Lewis
I actually really liked Tarrlok as a villain. I thought a lot of the elements of the finale were pretty good outside of the awkward love triangle resolution and Korra abruptly getting her powers back.
I thought his father's corruption was a decent enough reason to hate bending and what it enables people to do. I just wish we had gotten more of Amon's side of the story after he ran away.
Jose Davis
And most of it is more enjoyable and better looking than the show
Logan Butler
I only like Futurama, batman of the future and spider man 2099 because it's close to cyberpunk
Levi Scott
As Bojack Horseman goes on and the drama side of the story becomes increasingly dark and depressive I feel like I appreciate the wacky comedic side of the show less and less.
It's like Todd and Bojack are in completely different shows for half of season 4.
Liam Smith
The Flintstones comic is not as good as Sup Forums makes it out to be
Aiden Green
I still like Adventure Time, even though the reasons I've like it have changed over time.
Joseph Allen
I only like the x-men that it the MCU can go to hell
Jaxson Phillips
X-23 is a crap character and an even worse waifu
Carson Rogers
I always felt the X-Men should have never been a part of 616, because the mutant issue has always been handled poorly but its way worse when some freaks with super powers are already accepted and loved as heroes.
Also Magneto can go fuck himself.
Andrew Jones
give me the sauce piece of shit

Kung Fu Panda is the best series (not individual film) that Dreamworks has made, though I will admit HTTYD is a close 2nd place.

The Avengers being Marvel's Justice League - essentially a team of A-list "solo" heroes who are always expected to have their own books and set of villains/supporting cast - is a good idea and needs to stay like that for a long, long time so they're cemented as the core of the team. So: Spidey, Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and maybe Ant/Giant-Man and Wasp (those two being the equivalent to Martian Manhunter - no title on their own but absolutely inconceivable for them to not be on the team). Maybe Carol in place of Wasp if you still want a woman but one with her own solo book and nominal legacy dating back to the 60s. The X-Men need to be the same, get the most famous members distilled into a couple team books at best and cement them as the absolute core without shaking the lineup for a long while. Why for them and Avengers? So when you inevitably experiment again or do spinoff books, you know what these things are being compared or contrasted to and if things go wrong you can go back to a strong foundation.
Superboy (Jon) and Red Arrow (Emiko) need to join Damian's Teen Titans. Starfire, Beast Boy, and Raven need to leave.
However, DC's gonna be permanently fucked by having three sidekick generations sooner or later for timekeeping, since it means they'll always have to have at least fifteen years or so of official in-universe time. Someday a true reboot will happen, however many decades it takes, and we'll just have Dick's generation again and it'll be for the best.

IMO mutants can work.
It's just making them a true minority is a bad idea in the long run, as is meta-wise a ton of X-books and characters dominating the market. They also need to be made clear in-universe their powers and looks are way freakier and scarier than the Avengers or Fantastic Four (who are good looking people with either "conventional" powers or at least cool-looking ones). Mutants should be rare enough in-practice in-universe you have a better shot being made into a "conventional" superhero than being born a mutant, but you'd also rather be a conventional hero than cursed with a shit power or body.
