Huge waste of time also fuck off with your tranny comics
>dismissing one of the most genuinely biting satirists in the medium today whose comics are full of pathos and comedy because the guys a crossdresser
Bill Cosby's a rapist, doesn't mean he didn't put out decades of funny material
I'll read it as soon as somebody storytimes it
MMO was always kinda boring but passed because it was edgy Stoner humor that didn’t take itself seriously
But then it started asking people to take it seriously
Stayed up till 2 A.M. to be sure I could nab this despite being ill and hungover.
Love some Megg and Mogg
When? The 'plot' moves at a glacial pace since it's 80% just jokes and bits.
Actually read the thing you wanna criticize before you critique it, ya drangus.
I think I'd rather have get the shirt. I don't have enough esoteric media printed on clothing.
I'd rather just wait for a collected book.
It's a really nice shirt
>you didn’t read it so your criticisms aren’t valid
The glacial plot pace only adds to the poor quality.
Just compare more recent comics to the first ones. None of the themes of depression and growing pains are there because it was just dumb assholes fucking with other dummies. I’m not saying that the author isn’t capable of writing well, but inserting this crap into the story to justify why people live the way they do isn’t how you do it.
Not only that, but it doesn’t even seem like there’s any real character development. People realize they are mentally ill and then they just sorta coast through life, but without actually depicting illness in a way that isn’t crass or gaudy. The only real scene that I can think of worth mentioning is that one about Megg being depressed and being swallowed up by a giant swamp in her room. Too easy. A literal representation of what it’s like to feel depressed is fine, but it’s nothing special.
Did you read the Steven Universe one user?
I guess not because I don’t know what you’re talking about
Also, if you have a point, just make it
Holy shit don't compare crossdressers to rapists you nutbar.
Most of the stories are very grounded, and at least a few are beat for beat based on real events from the authors life- it's why most of the stories are self contained- it's more recollection than invention.
I'm too punk to online shopping.
And by punk I mean poor
and from a third world shit hole
I'd love to have those zines.
FUCK I WANT IT, user.
>No Owl, post-Megahex
Fucking finally.
Most authors draw from their own experiences in some way, that’s not really an excuse for the generic viewpoint that comes through. Rather than grounded, I’d say it’s clinical. There isn’t enough personal stuff to draw from or there isn’t enough creativity to expose so everything comes through as a cookie cutter experience copy and pasted from Wikipedia.
Any time the comic gets “deep” it feels fake or practiced, there’s no real depth to anything that’s on the page.
The only anthology is in frogspeak
Until s/he releases an anthology for me to buy, anyone got a torrent/dropbox/megupload etc? I've only found Megahex, Amsterdam and One more Year online
