I keep losing debates and arguments to Hilary supporters and I'm realizing I don't actually know much about politics and economy and stuff. You guys seem very knowledgeable. How do you become smart at those things?

Mises,
read,
read,
read a lot
when you think you've read enough, read more
books nigga
you probably shouldn't be trying to argue about things you dont fundamentally understand.
also you can't "lose" and argument on economics. it's not an objective subject.
Read, read, and read. Don't waste time with newsroom roundtables, unless you've looked at the source news itself first and are looking for others' opinions.
Try to read the same news story on both right and left-leaning sites. It'll help you see the differences in ideologies (know your enemy).
What do you read? Everytime I go to the library or try to do research online, I get overwhelmed because there's so many books and articles and I don't know which ones are good or truthful or not. I'm afraid I might read something wrong but convincing and all my ideals would have to be reversed.
By posting on Huffington post and pretending you are a Clinton supporter.
As an example, look at Christopher Hitchen's qualities - his background, his education, his writings, his polemics. If you don't know at least the broad strokes of Western Philosophy and Political Theory, you don't have much to go off of.
You're a leaf. You don't need to know anything about our politics. Focus on your limp wristed PM.
How the fuck can you lose to Hillary supporters?
Fuck off, embryo.
You can if you ignore keynesian bs theory and focus on freemarket economic principles.

Shit nigga all kind, not fiction though. Except for Ayn Rand.
>I'm afraid I might read something wrong
Then use your brain! I get how daunting it might seem at first but you need to trust your intuition. Put those critical-thinking skills to work.
The road to success is ridden with failure. Don't give up. If you lose, ask yourself why, and how to avoid it next time.
Also, knowledge is indeed found in books. Right wing news, Sup Forums and youtube videos can help you if you you know absolutely nothing, but beyond a certain level you gotta read. In fact, start reading no matter what. It never hurts.
The Road to Serfdom by Hayek started my journey but there are plenty of options.
>his background, his education
So should I go back to school? Universities are even worse up here than they are in the states.
>not an objective subject
Yeah it is, there are clearly things that work and don't work
Spend an hour a day reading about some sort of issue. Once you've formed strong opinions on issues, go specifically find people who disagree with you and who are also intelligent, and debate them/read what they have to say. Test your opinions against theirs, but be willing to change your mind if they're right.
prove it
>You guys seem very knowledgeable
We are. The average Sup Forumsack has an IQ of 120, makes over $100.000 a year and has a dick of 18cm (7 inches for the barbarians out there)
Thank you for the podcasts.
I don't have any critical thinking skills though. What if I think something's wrong but it really isn't wrong?
Okay I'll check that book out, but it looks kind of difficult desu
Start reading, do not come back until you are done.
Sup Forums in a nutshell
>"Trump never said anything racist"
>"A FUCKING LEAF"
?
Excellent work fellow leaf! Remember, if you beat your enemies they win!
Tell them they're about to become a Mexican colony.
>mfw weedman will left all 30+ million illegals into Canada
>mfw Canada's population is currently 30 million
I record the argument and investigate it so I have more of a chance the next time.
The language takes some getting used to because it's very old but if you can get past that, the message is really clear.
If you think you can't do something, try it anyway. The worst that can happen is that you surprise yourself.
And if you're worried that you'll never be as informed as all the guys at /pol, consider your age. Since you're asking about going back to school, I assume you're relatively young - you have so much time left in your life! Take advantage of that; there's no need to rush through and try to "absorb it all" within a few months.
You guys elected Trudeau no Canadians understand economics
Anyone you argued knows as little as you.
you probably lost to these "arguments". leftist have no shame and will use it to declare victory when surrounded by a group with the same ideals.
>I don't have any critical thinking skills though
It's easier to get started than you think. Just ask, "why?" Why do liberals think this certain thing works? And more importantly, why does /pol think THIS thing is correct? Being able to articulate 'why', and being able to boil something down to its core, is both edifying and maybe even fun.
If you can't figure out 'why' a liberal thinks something, just ask one when you're debating a Hillary supporter. They might not know 'why' either!
90 percent of all humans are not able to think critically, maybe you a part of those, who can and you have to try to learn it, but possible you can't. Look into psychology, philosophical, economic and law related literature. Don't read normal news site and when you really have to, try to ask yourself who is writing the article, why now and try to get to his agenda/premises.
Know thine enemy. Know his dirty tricks. Watch for traps.
Read EVERYTHING, not just what you already agree with.
Stay calm. It fucking infuriates lefties when they can't wind you up.
Be aware that leftists almost always resort to using sophistic trickery because their actual real arguments are stupid bullshit. Their main goal is to make you look/feel stupid, not to actually convince you of anything.
It's hardly ever actually worth it to "debate" them, unless you're very proficient in deconstructing their bullshit in real time, so you can make them look retarded in the moment by pointing out their fallacies.
Idealogy:
>First, read Karl Marx - Kapital, or at least the summary of it, to understand what the cucks are about. Then do some additional research on cultural marxism.
>Second thing, learn about history of marxism and why it never worked. Say many times that UBI is like autistic health insurance you can spend for drugs and cigarettes and that doesn't work because costs of services will rise.
Economy:
There are 3 basic problems with capitalsim, that're making world unfair:
>Central bank (currency)
>Bank (loan)
>Corporation (stock exchange)
Marxism solves neither of those 3 (efficiently). Being from ex-yu I know that inflations were even worse under communism. Loans were a rarity, so you could argue they were less of a problem, but economy wasn't able to really grow. Corporations existed just like they exist today, only that they were all property of the state. That meant you could get rich, but not by being innovative or competent, but rather by licking ass in politics.
Mention many times that corporatioons are (at least in Europe) much less of a problem than the cucks are saying, here in Slo most successful corporations are really taking care of their own workers/local people and towns where big private corporations place their factories are the most prosperous and well-backed.
Also, mention many times how cucks are doing their best to take from those corporations and give the money to banks, which are much larger issue than corporations.
9.999/10
I don't think I have the time to respond to everyone but that you for the help. Next time when someone tries to feed me leftist crap, I'll BTFO them so bad, I promise.
This might sound fucking pathetic but have fights in your mind about fights you lost. Try again in your mind after the loss. Always keep saying something about Hillarys crimes and her emails, thats the best argument.
