>What is this thread? Every Wins'day at Win-O'-Clock we gather here and post links to the latest scans and rips of comic books. Most links we uploaded ourselves, others we are sharing from elsewhere. Some comics we've even purchased ourselves (but most we didn't). If you'd like to help out, just ask and we would be delighted to tell you how. Otherwise, be patient, be polite, and understand the simple concept behind these words: Not posted means not available yet.
>Where can I find downloads for other comics? Warez forums/blogs, DDL-indexing search engines (like FileDiva), torrent trackers (like ExtraTorrent) and other P2P networks (like DC++). If a link has been posted on Sup Forums, you can search for it in the Desu archive (add "http*" to searches to return only posts with links). If all else fails, just >buy it.
>Where can I buy comics? comixology.com/ amazon.com/ On the various publishers' webstores, and at your local comics shop.
>How do I download from websites that only give me .exe files? Untick the checkbox under the download button.
>How can I find this thread every week? If you are using the inline extension go to Sup Forums.org/co/official or use the option under "Filters & Post Hiding". If you have 4chanX go to Settings > Filter > Subject and add the following line: /Official Win-O'-Thread/;highlight
Say, did anybody ever rip that Half Life: A Place in the West comic? Chapter 1 did not sell me on it, but I've heard people say chapter 2 was really good. I'm not sure if I believe them enough to spend any money to find out. Also their reader app sucks bad.

Thanos is back — and he's out for vengeance on all who would oppose him; unfortunately for the Mad Titan, he's also heading for an unexpected reckoning…with his family. Take an ongoing walk on the dark side of the galaxy, and follow the deadly trail of destruction left in his wake. Collecting Thanos nos. 01 - 06: 142 pages.
People have said that Chapter 2 is good and people do crack open PDF files and re-do them as standard cbr/cbz - but there are a lot of people that do not want PDFs, which is how this is being distributed.
You might find that some user will eventually upload since it does look like a few people have bought it and commented on it on reddit, but there's no apparent copies of Chapter 2 on line other than for sale from their web store.
It looks like a proper recap, you can tell, because it includes all three Bombshells which were posted at the end of that thread four or so hours ago.

Was out for dinner and drinks, so don't look at me. It's not my fault you posers don't care about this shit any more.

pls rip devilman g.

Yeah I figured it was a long shot that somebody had ripped it and posted it here, but after reading Chapter 1 I can't see spending even $2 on it. I've read free web comics that were better. Maybe it does pick up, but I'm gonna give it a miss then.

has anyone got a working link to robinson's starman #26? i don't have one and was hoping y'all could help. also if anyone could do those trades that would be super dope.
Lucas Howard
Seconding the request for trades. That’d be awesome
The book isn't available in digital stores, just print. It's another bad move from Valiant, like Book of Geomancers. At least it will be reprinted in a TPB or Deluxe HC. So we have to wait.

we could get an old-fashioned paper scan. even Empire still has folks who do that

Scanning things that will get an official digital release is a waste of time. If you can't wait for the eventual trade rip, then you can go buy it.

Spidey isn't looking for new friends in his neighborhood, but Deadpool's going all out in the name of bromance. Will this turn out to be a buddy book, or will the identity of Deadpool's next target — he's just a guy named Peter Parker — ruin everything? With another Spider-Man (Miles Morales) and a few more Mercs (for Money) along for the ride, this is the ultimate Marvel Team-Up. But when our two stars go on a double date, who calls dibs on Thor? Plus: Mysteries deepen at Parker Industries, and Wade Wilson goes Hollywood: but will Spidey steal the show on the set of Deadpool: The Movie? Collecting Spider-Man/Deadpool (2016) nos. 01 - 05 and 08: 163 pages.
Monsters, magic, merriment, movie-making and more! When Deadpool goes Hollywood, he's sure to bring his wall-crawling bud along for the ride — after all, Spidey is no stranger to selling out! In the proud DP tradition, a "lost" issue of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN flashes us back to one of our pun-happy pair's earliest meetings! Then, Spidey and Deadpool meet Pen and Teller, for reals, in a tale penned by Penn himself! When both our heroes are alone for the holidays, that means they're the only ones who can save Christmas! And when another of those crazy events rocks the Marvel Universe, the web-slinger uses all his powers (and responsibilities) to fight the Monsters Unleashed — while Deadpool is about as helpful as he usually is. It's the team-up series where anything can happen — and does! Collecting Spider-Man/Deadpool (2016-) nos. 06 - 07, 11-12 and no. 01.MU: 131 pages.
Take a little bit of Spidey and a touch of Deadpool, take away the Y chromosomes, blend it all together and what do you get? Peter Parker and Wade Wilson's worst nightmare - the murderous, mixed-up miss named Itsy Bitsy. The "daughter" of our two heroes is stronger than them, faster than them and has seriously creepy daddy issues - but what crazed mind could have conceived of her in the first place? As the body count begins to rise, somehow Spider-Man and Deadpool must work together to take down Itsy-Bitsy - and the person who has been pulling their strings from the start! But how is a trip to Weirdworld going to help wash that spider out? It's the most disturbing Spidey/Deadpool story yet. Collecting Spider-Man/Deadpool (2016-) nos. 09-10, 13-14 and 17-18: 128 pages.
Nobody does slapstick like Spidey and Deadpool do slapstick: except, maybe . . Slapstick? But the walking cartoon has terrible comic timing, showing up exactly when the Merc with a Mouth and the webbed wonder have declared: no more jokes. But what could have driven them to take the funny out of their funny book? And with Slapstick’s animated antics to deal with, can the wall-crawler possibly keep his promise to take super-heroing more seriously? Then, when the villainous Arcade decides to build a new, deadlier Murderworld in Madripoor, he invites (by which we mean kidnaps) Spider-Man to be its first guest. Collecting Spider-Man/Deadpool (2016) nos. 19-22: 115 pages.
During the fallout of Civil War II, some young heroes quit the Avengers and are determined to change the world their own way: it starts as an idea. It becomes an ideal. But what happens when it turns into a movement - one so big even the Hulk can't stop it? And will one of the greatest X-Men of all forge a new future by their side? Welcome to the Champions, Cyclops: unfortunately, not all of your new would-be teammates are glad to see you. Collecting Champions (2016-) nos. 01 - 05: 149 pages.
What are some good comics from the 60s/70s with high quality or high res digital versions uploaded?
Easton Sanders
Lee/Kirby FF is pretty complete in digital. There's a lot of their Thor/Journey Into Mystery that's in digital, too.
Gerber's Man-Thing (and some of his Howard the Duck) is in digital.
Starlin's Warlock/Strange Tales (the Magus Saga) is in digital. Some of his Captain Marvel is, and more of that era of Marv was released, too.
Those are the big ones.
Asher Gutierrez
Somebody post the panel of the redneck sheriff who burned down a black church, the jewish temple, and the muslim mosque in his small hick town in the same week.
I never get tired of that one.
Joseph Cruz
Dude, we told you... what's the point? The writer died, it's never gonna get finished.
Move to TriageX or something if what you're going after is the art.
Ethan Wilson
I doubt this will happen until they're on sale but I'd like them ripped too.
Daniel Jenkins
any chance of getting the rest of the Convergence trades? Only the main one and Flashpoint book 1 have been ripped:
Whoever rips Seven Seas... can we get some Witch Hunter?
John Anderson
There's not really any extra content. I thought about buying them when they were on sale recently and it doesn't seem worth it, unless you simply wanted them to replace the floppies?
A fair amount of the DC material from that era is in good quality digital. The Green Lantern/Green Arrow team up book, for example, is both available in good HD floppies and a nice trade.
Depending on your taste, likewise stuff like the Haney Teen Titans and the Wolfman NTT and similar is also available in good floppies (some of the trades haven't been ripped yet, but a bunch of the New Teen Titans just got ripped in the past year and valid links should be in DESU). If that's not your speed, the Suicide Squad from that era also just got ripped this past year and ditto re links.
Henry Watson
Convergence textless covers are extra content enough...
Jason Kelly
Yeah I really wanted to replace the floppies. Guess it might be a while before they get ripped, but thanks for the info.
Xavier Cox
Danke/LuCaZ.... any chance either of you manga rippers could rip the first few volumes of Triage X? the first 4 volumes on goddess are scans.
Probably to get better image quality than that of the scanlations.
Cameron Ward
By the way, since you are around, I'm starting to try to rip some books. As far as I can see, page joins need to be done by hand (thus your comment a week or so back that they and matching up pages were a pain in the behind)?
Ryder Parker
I don't think these contain anything that isn't already in the single digital rips, so this might be unlikely to happen.
Liam Roberts
Well, you need an image editor to at least slap them together. If the halves fit together perfectly, then that's all there is to it. It becomes a pain in the butt when you decide to recreate any missing parts (this is usually called "redrawing", although you don't actually draw, you just abuse the clone stamp).
Nathaniel Cook
You really just need to join the two halves, nothing else is required. Although I would attempt to fix the example image I gave, which is rather easy to do: just select the page on the right and move the selection to the left. Crop the result so there's no more empty space, then save.
Nolan Rivera
Yeah, I own Adobe Photoshop, the latest release which a graphic designer friend gave me, but haven't really used a version other than a few releases back and in about 5 years. So I used Graphic Converter instead
It seems like work that requires a large screen. And patience (picture attached is my first reasonably successful attempt)
Liam Roberts
Let it be stated that if the halves don't fit perfectly, such easy-to-fix cases will be very rare, so you really just need to slap the two halves together, nothing more. Anything else will probably be too much work.
Matthew Peterson
>It seems like work that requires a large screen It's easier with a large screen, yes.
>So I used Graphic Converter instead It's probably even faster to do with Photoshop: open one half, expand the canvas by the exact dimensions of the other half, copypaste the other half into the created blank space, done.
Now what I did to your example was apply the clone stamp here and there to make the transitions seem even more seamless. What I actually needed to do was to pull apart the two halves by literally 2 pixels, then fill in the gap with the clone stamp, but that was too much work for a quick reply.
Anyway, bottom line: if you won't alter the image in any way, it's hardly any work to join spreads.
Elijah Wilson
Yeah - I see what you mean. I thought you're intermediate step looked OK and the fix looks fine save for the top center where you can still tell it's two distinct images - and not sure how you would fix that without a lot of editing and recreation work.
And yes, I'm not sure how much work. In the example I gave, the one key thing was the laser beam eyes lining up, which just took patience to place.
I guess I just need to crack open that copy of PS I have and take some CBRs with a lot of wide screen double trucks and break them up and play around with it.
Thanks for the input and all your other work!
Justin Evans
literally just use imagemagick convert append functions -- done this to fix some of the early rips of One Punch Man that split the spreads in two pages.
and volume 6 of MTMTE and RID since for some reason they also suffer of the same thing.
Christopher Taylor
Is there a reason Shadowcat is reripping books? Are they in HD now as opposed to whatever prior rips we had or just completely random?
Bentley Russell
The better question to ask is why is shadowcat skipping random issues when ripping books.
Adrian Williams
Does anyone have 7thGARDEN vol 5-7?
Robert Hernandez
Of new books or old? Cause old it just seems like they're being uploaded at different times.
