I actually agree on a legal level. It really just funnels into the point though that gays were fighting a petty culture war, because most gays didn't want to even be married. It's their right to fight it, of course, but not through federal government force. The only thing that should be fought on that level is removing the federal government's role and tax break shit from the whole thing altogether and leaving it to private contracts.
