I didn’t assume you were an x-fag at all, and again, who cares? “Out Of Time” implies that this is going to deal with time travel / alternate realities, so what does it matter if there is an inhuman on the team? It’s a convenient way of explaining how someone got their power without needing a fuck load of back story.

I mean, he is right, this is Cap and it is something that is happening to him. He's just leaving out the rather important detail that by the end of the story, Steve will be sent back to 2018 and this will become yet another alternate future that will never actually happen, thus making this story kind of pointless in the grand scheme of things.
