I wish there were more people like him making cool shit.

Well, that was pleasant.

We must support the bearded bogan in any way we can.

This man is a precious motherfucker

is this about gentrification?

its about being comfy

that was nice

That was so pleasant

Reminder that the bugs hollowed out bamboo man and continue to infest his children.

They dont seem to mind

Reminds me of an ancient meme. These are all I can remember

Gotta love all the bugs that are in this
>that construction worker scorpion
>that happy pink weevil
>the snail on the stick insect
maximum comfy

Not as good as Double Kino, but still nice.

>Felix ends up making comfy but slightly surreal children's programming

I'd be down with that

Are you implying that would be bad?

Felix absolutely deserves to get an indie feature.

Not at all.
This too, but I don't want him to get ruined by a major network.

What kind of animators/media do you like Sup Forums? Felix is great, any more that give off his same happy/casual feeling in the animation?

I kinda get the same feeling from reading Yotsubato, reading it now for the first time.

>There's still no promised soundtrack for it

There are some good Indie producers that are doing well, Mabye a episodic kind of thing like Lord_Bung is doing might work well for Felix.

The man has a goat to tend.

Fuck that was pleasant and cute. Had me smiling the whole way through.

Maybe Netflix give him a shot. Streaming services are slightly better when it comes to creative meddling.

trendy ass hipster matt furie rip off

Magnificent.

...

...

Netflix "originals" all seem very safe to me tho.

Oh hell yes

I hope he releases that Double King soundtrack he mentioned soon

>I don't want him to get ruined by a major network.
Read indie. The best timeline has a Felix Colgrave movie distributed by GKIDS. Or at the same time I could see Colgrave shorts playing in movie theatres before the show starts. But that doesn't really happen.

Felix's shorts are so entertaining because they have a combination of impossible worlds and characters but doing really menial tasks. Like getting to see an average day in an extraterrestrial dimension. Miyazaki is actually kind of the same way in just showing really subtle actions despite the usual eccentricity of animation.

I like his stuff because it very surreal and psychedelic in nature. Not in the hard-core dude drugs way, but a lot more fantasy-ish and light hearted sense, sort of like how Adventure Time is.

Also, I admire his attention to detail. The short Double King especially has fantastically executed setpieces of animation and sound design that is beyond phenomenal.

FUCK YEAH NIGGERS

>I admire his attention to detail

>tfw you realize how the bug at 0:52 syncopated his stomps so the water droplets can match with the piano

this is it, we’ve achieved ASCENDED levels of comfy

truly /ourguy/

DONT SHOOT

I could see him doing cozy cute educational shorts on PBS kids.

t. Rebecca Sugar

That was cool

up

The painted backgrounds were done by his fiance

great, now I'm picturing him having sex

could you imagine a sex scene animated by felix?

Supremely comfy.

he's really getting the most out of those banner animations huh

...

that was okay I guess

sure it's comfy and the animation is good, but the music was unremarkable and I found it uninspired, compared to his other stuff
it's nice, but not great

well it's not like he's the one doing the fucking music in it
youtube.com/watch?v=pviC25b3Lv8

yeah but I feel like the musical support is an important component of a music video, and this one didn't exactly push him to greatness
it's kinda mediocre
not horrible, just not as much a visual slap and artistic slap like double king or the elephant's garden

This was nice

I thought it was pleasant, nothing spectacular, but it really didn’t call for anything spectacular

well ...

>moth on bat sex
time to add to the things i didn't know i wanted list

Lovely. Great way to start my morning.

>the fucking squid inking into that whale's mouth

...

weel that was lewdly cute

...

That's the most relaxing music I've heard in a long time.

Who's better? Bung or Colgrave?

Felix by far. It's just no competition.

TURBOCOMFY desu

I love this because I feel like this is the kind of thing you’d believe in as a kid, like you’d go outside and lie in Mom’s garden thinking about all the cute little hidden bug villages and stuff. He captures that feeling so well.

Childlike wonder/10

>tfw used to build bug houses in the forest
>started out as basically just little shelters set up against a tree
>tfw got good at it and made little furniture and proper roofs after a while
Those were good times.

Not only is the short nice, I'm gonna have to go check out this tape the tune was from.
Downright pleasant.

I kept waiting for the body horror and surreal black comedy to start.
I feel cheated.

Tales of Alethrion is underrated and EVERYTHING that Sup Forums ever asked for in animation.

It is also a bunch of dudes trying to make an actual show only by themselves.

That's really cute, user.

We did it with the school too, shit was great. I remember building some with my friend.

Wow, they made it.
I remember "The Reward".

I remember doing that with my friends. We’d break twigs and make little log bungalows with leaf roofs. You and I would have been bros.

Based.

shit i`ve lost track of them after the first hero episode.
Thanks user for this late christmas present!

Where does this fit into the Hollow Knight lore?

Brother.

We used mostly material that was on the ground. Usually that meant making a rough structure with sticks and then covering it with leaves or needles to make a roof or the walls.

that would be real neat

...

>Felix Colgrave becomes the Bob Ross / Mr. Rodgers of animation

Yes please. He had the voice and disposition for it.

this makes me so happy

Kek

the fat little lady bugs are the best.

>the way their pudgy little legs keep moving after they flip over
