I meant more the idea that so far M&K have only done relationships with at least a bit of contrast. Ruby and Ozcar when you get down to it are too similar. Ruby is very forgiving and Ozcar avoids conflict when he can. That relationship is set up to be as bland as possible with no development. It's why Ruby and Ozpin have always just gotten along.
Arkos, WK, BB, Eclipse, and Renora all have obvious contrast. RG has literally none. There's no story potential there.
