>can't be bothered to use weeb correctly

Fuck off

It's not as bad as people meme it to be

Oh no, it's awful. There are people that actually like it, but those people are idiots.

...

It's really not that bad. But its nothing great either. The people that meme it to hell are the ones who've only watched like 3 of the first episodes and were put off by the voice acting/animation. Makes sense considering Rooster Teeth had fuck all for a budget at the time.

...

It's awful to start out and picks up once the creator dies and two turboweebs take over writing and switch their animation to Maya.

Vol1-3
characters: 7/10
story:6/10
animation:4/10
fights:8/10

Vol4-5
characters:5/10
story:5/10
animation:7/10
fights:4/10

I'm also being generous because I've been a fan of Monty Oum since 2009.

i don't like it, but everyone else seems to. so i guess i'm just a shit-head.

tell me about whysssss sneeeee

Just spank it to Blake, thats all its good for.

keep up the good work, boco.

^ desu

Cute cat and blonde bimbo are the only good parts

She's the best girl

She is nice

Do you like deviant art?

If no, then you won't like RWBY. Simple as that.

RWBY is a show that had good trailers and never reached the potential that those trailers promised.

This show and its animation are both fucking garbage.

What do you expect from a studio who made a living out of on-par halo machinima and NOT EVEN got a cease and desist from Microsoft?

but you didn't post yang

Both. Or rather, it's certainly good enough that if you want to give it a try and you end up liking it you have no reason to care that some people will call it shit.

bait and switch. there are no fights in the later volumes.

Its fucking aweful. Filled with atrocious wirting and some really aweful voice acting. At some parts it seemed like it could go somewhere but it never does.

Its telling its own general has a rule to not try to argue its good

Never seen it but it's an endless source of f/f smut so I'm glad it exists

It was good. Now it’s pretty bad.

Missed potential.

The non-fight animation has improved.
The main character's voice is considerably worse.

I mean, I watch it, but it says a lot about the quality of the show when the main force behind it had to literally DIE for it to get better

>NOT EVEN got a cease and desist from Microsoft?
Please stop trying to speak civilized languages, Pablo, and try to understand that they are literally sponsored by Microsoft because RvB has been massive publicity for Halo since the start

It's the definition of weebshit even if, perhaps especially because, it's not actually Japanese.

So it's okay for some gay internet content makers to commercially sell a machinima series online AND in retail stores while using copyrighted assets from a popular video games that the owners would've sued up the ass for copyright infringement?

Sure they'll turn a blind eye, but then this shit goes too far.

>Main character and her sister have hilariously overpowered s-tier abilities
>most daring thing the show has ever done was kill off 2 side characters
>major story arcs boil down to the villains' plans failing spectacularly and them running away ( the only volume that didn't end in an anticlimax was 3)
>pointless bullshit to fluff out the story(characters talking/walking/ fighting literal whos

If you like watching Buruto's dad and meme clover give rwby a watch

RvB was only funny during Bloodgulch Chronicles anyway.

The fight choreography has gotten pretty disappointing, and multi-person fights from volume 3 onward don't even make that much sense anymore, as they require the viewer to believe that teammates not in the spotlight would stand idly by watching things happen, sometimes even when the camera is focused on them. I think that, despite what they might want it to be, the fact that it was created by Oum sets the expectation that choreography is going to be a priority of the show.

The writing is and pretty much always has been problematic.

I've watched some critiques, some overly positive, some overly negative, most of which are heavily biased and give blatant misinformation, but I feel like this guy's reviews are the best I've seen.

The art and porn are good. plot entry is convoluted, what few eps I have seen were hard to watch because its all armature level and lore is not good enough to make you look pass it

They were literally invited to voice an easter egg in halo 3. Microsoft doesn't sue them because Microsoft loves their asses.

I know it's mediocre but I still watch it anyway as a guilty pleasure. I've grown attached to the characters but I also want to see the show succeed because I want more people to see that there's a market for action-oriented Internet-original animation, and make their own shows to compete.

As a fan of action cartoons, it pissed me off to no end that awesome shows got shitcanned by network execs for bullshit reasons. I want to see an action cartoon Renaissance online, where shows can't get canceled for selling enough toys, or booted onto hiatus for no reason only to be canceled and then burned off in a slot at 5:30 AM. RWBY and (hopefully) shows that follow in it's footsteps by going for streaming and bypassing traditional networks are the future, while shit like TTG clogs up cable channels.

weeb shit

They also showed up in Halo 4 Spartan Op's where if you shoot a few hidden items you can activate the easter egg where the radio chatter will be characters from Red Versus Blue talking

uh ... you also forgot that we have shit taste to user. people who watch the show have generic - shit taste and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

ae arby n' the chief is better anyways.

I want to impregnate Blake

It used to be silly but fun animesque series with great fight scenes.

But, then the creators decided to try and turn it into anime Game of Thrones and it sucks now.

It's a 4/10 anime/show with a bunch of 8/10 moments. We await every episode with the prayer for another 8/10 moment and the hope for a 6/10 episode.
It's hard to recommend a show I love so much yet have so much disappointment in, thank got the fanfics and fanart drew me in before it really set in.

Nah, you're not a shit head. I like it, but I know damn well its not for everyone.

The show is trash, those of us who like it do so because we like the characters, and the potential the show has. If you don't fall for the characters there's literally zero point sticking around.

Porque no los dos?

I wish it was weeb shit. It hasn't been weeb shit since volume 3.

Hard to say at this point.

I kinda watch it now in the sense of "slow motion train wreck", and also in the sense of seeing how these 'heroes' will manage to fuck everything up.

Why not Both?

It's... CLOSE to being good. When you watch it you really want it to be good. By that I mean if they just did a few things even just a LITTLE better and actually focused and appropriately used their resources it could a very entertaining show... Unfortunately they usually fuck it up. Miles and Kerry are unfortunately just pretty shitty writers (or at least they are for this kind of show) and the latest season, while technically one of the best animated to date, just reeks of either laziness and.or a gross lack or oversight and polish; stuff characters randomly switching locations between shots, empty scenes and backgrounds, a lot incredibly anti-climatic moments, bad pacing and unnecessary exposition and way too much happening OFF-SCREEN... and etc.

The really frustrating thing is that it still has it's moments and when they bother a great sense for detail. The Most recent maiden fight was pretty bitch'n and all those problems above could be solved with pretty simple fixes- if they were just A BIT better at taking things into consideration (Or gave a shit if that really is the case) about each of those areas and stopped with their ineffective "Laid back workplace" BS and stopped taking 'eh, good enough' as good enough, then it COULD be a pretty damn good show... maybe not great but the potential is certainly there... they just have to stop squandering it.

Its starts out bad but with a sort of charm that comes from it being passionately brought to life by a zero-experience team on a buget of discarded fabric softener sheets. Over time its budget and talent grows and it evolves into a mediocre, inoffensive 'anime.'

...

his critiques are fucking terrible and almost everything he says is completely wrong, not that there isn't a lot to criticize but this guy is just being retarded 95% of the time

he's genuinely super autistic and can't understand character emotions or thoughts so most of the characters confuse him, and then he's incapable of holding more than 1 scene in memory at any given time so he thinks up tons of nonexistant plot holes because he can't remember the basic information that explains it

the only good thing he did is the talk about the camera/group fights in v3, it's obvious nobody diagrams the fights and all the early v3 fights were an awful mess, v5 has similar problems

It's weebshit for people who don't like weebshit.
t.Sup Forums

I think most of us who watch it watch it for the chars, just watch a few eps to see.
