R&S worked better with subtlety

was doomed from the start

They didn't lose all the episodes.

John K.

I just wasn't funny

Well try harder, john...

Did R&S put a curse on John K or something? Everything he worked on up to that point was golden. Even his animation career prior to R&S was pretty damn great.

Then the show gets cancelled and everything about him just falls about. His brain, his writing, his art, his humor.

Blame the channel they worked on they wanted more nasty stuff.

R & S made him think being good at animation and good at developing animators meant he was good at writing, producing, directing, and managing.

John K was a good animator, but a bad person so karma turned against him.

FPBP as always.

Underrated

Here is the truth. John ruined himself during Ripping Friends. All that people that left Spumco because of his actions during Ripping Friends made after that made up for his deficiencies. After that it became John K and some people who blindly followed him instead of reined him in and polished his work. This pure John we have now has lead to the Lost Episodes, and all the weird shit he's done like the Miley Cyrus stuff. Its all been wrong since 2001.

What happened during Ripping Friends?

He was an ass in general. Forced his then girlfriend into the production as a writer if I remember. I remember hearing that really irked the people who had been working with him for years. Was terrible at providing the Canadian animation studios with the reference material they needed to make it to his demanding standards which lead to a lot of work redone. Probably other stuff too I never heard about.

I liked it.

Every episode is a single, lame, extended joke.

The people on the new R&S episodes weren't blind followers. They fought against having a whole episode where Ren and Stimpy do nothing but eat snot for a half hour. John believed that's what his audience wanted. The one thing everyone should know about John is that he does whatever the fuck he wants to do, no one controls him.

Mild opposition from what we would now call SJWs at Nick (he called them "hippie ladies' in interviews) turned him into a raging, insecure balloon of hypermasculine bravado, not unlike his own George Liquor character, who henceforth refused to be talked out of any bad idea, and whose manosphere-like cult continues to refuse to admit he can do any wrong.

John doesn't have writers on his shows, does he? I thought he hated writers

>When you realize George can actually be a good character when a good artist is on board

Never said George wasn't good.
Just that eventually, by actually becoming him in real life, John K lost it.

John K has a really terrible sense of humour that really shows when hes no longer under a filter.

i wish john k would jsut do a porn cartoon
i love the way he draws women

He has hasn't he?
