You gotta be down with the Tish/ Lor situation

I like what I see happening here

Shes face to face with greatness and its strange. She doesnt even know how to feel.

Its adorable

>tfw youre legit one of disneys best cartoons but nobody remembers you

b-but....wasnt I one in a million Sup Forums?

She was like Doug but less of a pussy.

>one in a million
theres the problem, one of a million

Braceface was some good shit. I wish shows like this still got made. Just simple stories about growing up, dealing with change, and finding out what kind of a person you are.

The world definitely doenst need any more goddamned 'preteen superhero' shows thats for sure.

>this is a SOL cartoon
>everyone hates it

Sup Forums has no taste.

Tish/Lor is great, but Tino/Tish/Lor is even better

I think the problem is that show is one of the least available of it's genre from that era, well it and the Disney Doug

most people in these parts only remember it for the BE episode and the one where Sharon discovers internet porn

well that and all the inexplicable FMG smut that's been made for it

It’s SoL, but it has the gimmick of 10 sisters
Shows like Recess, weekenders, Pepper Ann, Hey Arnold, Any and all “Doug” clones were just about kids being the creative and imaginative weirdos they are

Better for a great show to be remembered for kink shit than for it to not be remembered at all. Also it was full of footservice, so theres that.

>It’s SoL, but it has the gimmick of 10 sisters
and splits time between them, lincoln, his friend and the parents

most shows have a smaller cast at least to start with

Here we go, shout out to the BE fetishists, never enough content for us.

It's a fucking sitcom you retard, SoL does not mean "show about humans". Is Seinfeld slice of life?

People here don’t like Clarence either, and are all up-in-arms about Craig of the Creek.
For the record, I think Clarence is OK, but Craig looks boring. What is it about older SoL shows that makes them more entertaining? As someone who watched some of Weekenders a while back without nostalgic attachment, I liked it. Why were they more entertaining back then?

>least available of it's genre

Availability is an issue with most of the shows of this type. Weekenders has a dvd release- for disney movie club members only. Braceface had dvds for the first season only I think? Now out of print of course. Pepper ann is the worst of the bunch, it was never released in any format and most of the episodes are currently lost to time. None of them are on streaming. Sometimes they get put on youtube, but nick and disney shows inevitably get taken down. Its hard for them to get any kind of following.

Its kind of sadder for the canadian shows though, because those ARE on youtube and they STILL dont get any real following. I guess if you aint nick or disney, nobody cares.

Yes it is.

>Pepper Ann's voice actress sang the theme song
>we never got a whole album of her singing punk rock

It's not fair.

Ronnie Anne's family should have been the focus instead. Her family members were actually original instead of a bunch of market testing-approved archetypes.

That Andy was a real jerk

>People here don’t like Clarence either, and are all up-in-arms about Craig of the Creek.

For me I'm worried about how in some parts of the pilot it feels like the kids are LARPing.

We all know that shows like Recess, KND and Fillmore it's normal everyday stuff but put through the filter of a child's imagination. But the difference is that for the characters it's 100% real, sometimes life or death stuff. They aren't playing pretend. This is their life.

In Craig of the Creek I don't get that sense as much. It feels like any moment a character could say "meh, I'm tired of playing today. I'm going home." and END EPISODE.

Misha, put back your trip.

Her voice was fucking awesome. Also she was Carrie from Road House

There is more to life, than life.

Lets not forget that SoL shows can have supernatural elements to them so long as the plotlines stay grounded in reality. Sabrina the Animated Series being a good example.

And so as Full House, with the laugh track. What the fuck are you on?

Speaking of supernatural elements, I was surprised watching Braceface as an adult that her braces acting up is barely part of the show. When I was a kid I thought it was a huge thing but apparently they only start zapping stuff maybe every third episode.

>everyone hates it
It's target audience overwhelmingly likes it, and Sup Forums doesn't hate it, which is a lot.
We just despise it's autistic, waifufagging, literal pedo fanbase

This mediocre cartoon only is talked about anymore because of latent childhood sexual fantasies.

The 'braces zapping shit' part of the show always seemed unnecessary to me. You get the impression that that was added to make the plots more interesting, but it was never really needed. At any rate it happened maybe once per episode if even that, so it wasnt really a problem

I feel like Slice of Life cartoons about (pre)teens would be so much more interesting if they weren't under a kids channel filter. While I have enjoyed stuff like Weekenders, It just seems so fake when no ones swearing, and never drawing blood when an accident or fight happens.

>Is Seinfeld slice of life?
Bad example. Seinfeld had plenty of episodes that fit the bill.

What's with that guy anyway?

He's an asshole.

I'd say SOL ought to have more personal growth than Seinfeld or The Loud House

no resetting the status quo after each episode

>super hero static shock WHOOP WHOOP

Sharon and Maria had the best 'best friends' relationship ever. They always had each others backs, each one willing to cover for the others character flaws, of which they were keenly aware. They talked or otherwise interacted pretty much every day, they consulted with each other before making major decisions, and when they were separated for a notable length of time, they missed each other. Kind of like...real best friends.

If this show came out today the shipping would be through the roof.

Too girly for you? Too many links to ponies for you? Bahh, you deserve zilch.

>that silver fox

UNF!

Technically, but the real star of the show was Nicky

>personal growth
>no resetting the status quo after each episode
These are more something you find in a coming of age story, or a drama.

>FMG smut
I dont know what that is and Im not sure I want to so Im not gonna google it

l-lewd

Is this an anime?

>as a kid hate slice of life cartoons
>50% of cartoons are SOL
>now barely any cartoons are SOL

Child me would enjoy today.

But most shows today mix SOL into everything, back in the day you could only be action or SOL, now it's always got to be a combination of the two

The only thread where you can unironically say What About Mimi

Is anyone on Sup Forums even aware of this show?

Fucking hell, the first thing I thought when I saw this character was that she looks like a trannie.

I recognise it.

>They have big heads and small faces
>stories werent new at all
>their names were weird
>animation didnt complement the humor

archiveofourown org/works/9499943

i am, im also aware of the fact it barely ever gets mentioned anywhere.

there were a few fairly long threads on 8chs Sup Forums about it a while ago

I know of it, but the only episode list I found online had a bunch of them badly corrupted, so I ended up quitting after just a few. Really need to watch the whole thing though.

best show of the period, bar none.

fuck pokemon

Pokemon came out in the 90s

Pokemon is still around.

psst bro, all of the canadian shows mentioned in this thread are on youtube in their entirety

wasnt one of the points in the show that none of them was popular?

Same problem there, halfway through the episode the audio just becomes horrific static.

Yes.

>putting the cuckold horns on your friend

For what purpose

They were liked an okay amount but they weren’t “popular” as in the social caste.

There was an episode when they briefly were, though. They got special clothes on discount, diet pop without the aftertaste (back when diet pop still tasted funny; also why were 12 year olds drinking diet pop?), there was a secret section of the mall with a water park.

20 years ago kids never knew what the horns meant
now everything in elementary school is eatin ass and cuckholding

Video games?
I'll beat ya score.

Underrated classics.

What is wrong with you? Why are you getting cartoons from YouTube instead of Kametsu?

It was only one episode that was broken, and it was fixed on that site a while back. You can get the whole series proper there.

>images won't upload

Thanks mods

What's with Andy? is missing 3 episodes on all sites, dumbass. It's partially lost media.

Yes what?

Also nice quads

Can we not post images

True but it was still popular in 2000-2001. Weekenders came out at that time and got better ratings than Pokemon, so some magazines called it "the show that killed pokemon".

I loved Weekenders, but wow, I had no idea it was that popular.

I watch them pretty regularly, it's only a couple of episodes that are like that. Just try a different one

Sharon was a cunt.

This show was underrated as fuck. Easily one of the funniest Disney cartoons.

Female Muscle Growth

Did you not fucking read 1. It's only one episode
2. It's available fixed

It also doesn't seem to be on that site. Or at least the search results give 0 matches.

The Weekenders felt like such a great show even when I was younger and couldn't really understand why I liked it so much. The cast is great, the setting was good, the plots were entertaining, and the artstyle was so nice. Definitely a 10/10 show

Search for just "mimi" but in titles specifically

If you still can't find it I can post the link to the topic at least, though it's probably a bad idea.

BOYFRIEND

>Disney makes their, better Doug
>Somehow makes Doug worse after Doug goes to Disney
What the fuck?

No she wasn't. She made some dumb decisions here and there but so did all of the other kids because the literal whole point of the show is learning from the dumb mistakes you make as a teenager. Sharon was a good kid.

It seems Mimi threads never really take of here.

Canadian show threads never really take off here, except for those few that were popular in the US.

Mimi was never aired in the US, to my knowledge.

And here I thought it was my connection.

it's the weirdness that sort of sold the "realism" of the show.

for some reason it's a believable upper-middle-class town.

Weekenders was the fucking shit. It was way more funny and clever than it had any right to be, but also struck a balance with being kind of touching sometimes.

Also, in my headcanon Tish's family comes from the same obscure quasi German micro country as Dr Doofenshmirtz

autism

any good torrents?

There was one I lost when nyaa went down

The only problem was it only had like 5 episodes of season 3

Lor develops MASSIVE breasts, but gives up trying to hide them before the end of high school

Good thread contribution bro

Ive combed through all the archives and torrents i could find and by my calculation about 2/3 of the episodes are missing, with the remaining third being in vhs quality

Lichtenstein

myspleen has the entire series. its myspleen exclusive though.

Really

Shit ill have to check that out later

...

I wonder if it still holds up

This thread is missing something.

I had a huge crush on her. I think her voice was supposed to sound meek but it just sounded sexy to me.
