What is she, /swco/?

I sorta wish Kylo being a Dooku was real and there was some deep lore about Dookus building strange lightsabers

Mandalore.

what went wrong?

Waifu master race coming through.

Alright, /swco/, we're about five or so years into the new canon. Do you enjoy it? Have there been things that you don't like about it? Is it a vast improvement over the old canon or more of the same stupidity?

indifferent, enjoying both the eu and nu-canon

Not really enjoying it as a whole, the quality varies like crazy and there still no good vidya. Also only 1 of the new movies have been good and it's not even part of the main saga.

>this person is evil as fuck and needs to be put down
>no, wait. heres an unrelated example that had many many different factors at play
>i guess youre right luuuke, lets suck him off instead
god damn luke

>we're about five or so years into the new canon
It hasn't even been 4 years yet m80

Why is there no delicious brown in Star Wars?

>Do you enjoy it?
Not really. It's pretty bland and safe.
>Have there been things that you don't like about it?
Yeah, it's honestly amazing how little worldbuiling has happened in 5 fucking years. We still know fuckall about the days of the Old Republic, for example.
>Is it a vast improvement over the old canon or more of the same stupidity?
Neither, it's not as obviously dumb, but its retardness is more insidious and subtle, like when you realize a movie had a glaring plot hole on your way back from the theather.

>war fought between the galactic republic and separatist systems
>the war is about succession
>the republic gains an army of clones, bought by a deceased jedi, made from the genes of a bounty hunter
>they don't question this
>they call it "the clone wars"

??????????????

>Do you enjoy it?
Yes

>Have there been things that you don't like about it?
Mostly just TFA and to a much less extent, TLJ. Rogue One was fantastic, Rebels is good, TCW was kino, and most of the books and comics have been good too.

>Is it a vast improvement over the old canon or more of the same stupidity?
Vast improvement, anybody that says otherwise is a blatant EUfag who hasn't read Canon - And this is coming from someone who read the EU for 10+ years

Are you a retard user?

Yeah, but the franchise was bought in 2012. Also, plans to reboot the EU were already in the works by then.

>usatoday.com/story/money/business/2012/10/30/disney-star-wars-lucasfilm/1669739/

>no porn
Apprently not delicious enough

>Do you enjoy it
Yes
> Have there been things that you don't like about it
Some parts of Rebels have been a miss for me.
The lack of ST content outside of the movies is a bummer.
Aphra sucks, and I'm bummed that she's being heralded as a major part of nucanon.
Aftermath wasn't the proper ROTJ sequel that I wanted, and we still haven't really gotten one. I loved Shattered Empire and even BF2 though.
Helicopter sabers.
> Is it a vast improvement over the old canon or more of the same stupidity
Both, probably. I love how streamlined and well-managed it is. But there's still plenty of stupidity.

Literally nothing but brown, I want attractive white women

Yes, but the EU didn't finish until 2 years later. Hell, the Dark Horse STAR WARS series, the most popular series in years, didn't even launch until 2013.

Black and brown are not the same thing

>posting a monkey

why are you into bestiality?

...

Sabine is space filipino, that counts as brown doesn't it?

>no porn
Welcome to Star Wars. Where what little we have is barely ever good.

>why are you into bestiality?
Again, welcome to Star Wars.

>anybody that says otherwise is a blatant EUfag who hasn't read Canon
Nice strawman. Maybe people just like different shit than you do. Shocking, I know.

no, but black does fall into "Delicious brown gir" category.

Unless we talking martian queen

It's biggest strength and flaw both is its simplicity.

It lacks the richness of the old EU but gets rid of a bunch of chaff bullshit.

>tfw miss the Dark Horse years
>Star Wars comics are no infected by Marvel and there is no going back
>enjoy the stories and like that they are being reprinted but can't get over the fact they're not canon anymore

What were your favorite stories from Dark Horse?

The books are hit or miss. Either they're fantastic or absolutely uninteresting.
The comics are nice story wise, but god damn the art is horrible most of the time. Why can't they just get the artist they used for Kanan all the time?

>they're not canon anymore
were they ever? i dont miss the retarded movie canon lucas canon book canon whatever bullshit everything was listed under that basically amounted to non canon. at least now something is strictly canon or legends

There's a shiton but that never stops Sup Forums from asking "why is there no x in y" until the end of time

Tales, Open Seasons, Darth Maul, Chewbacca (Chewie dying was bullshit, but the mini was good), Tales of the Jedi, KOTOR

Marvel can be good. How the fuck do we go from this to the current artist though?

The best part of new canon are girls with cocks.

>that face
>that leg
>that entire plotline

>Jedi Council commands him to do things but does what he wants because he can
>attracted royal women in his lifetime with his charisma
>force chokes anyone who messes with his loved ones
>outright kills them if he has the chance
>wants to be an upstanding family man after the war
>learned mechanics at a young age and can fly almost anything
>lost an arm and replaced it with a cool gold one

What is the Virgin Ren like?

...

...

>Do you enjoy it?
Yeah for the most part. I have issues with TFA and wasn't the biggest fan of Rogue One but as a whole I'm happy with the 3 films they've released. I definitely prefer it to them not being made at all.
>Have there been things that you don't like about it?
Yeah I think they wrote themselves into a corner with the Empire being totally defeated in 1 battle less than a year after Endor and then having 30 years of peace. They could easily have recanonized or remade a lot of fan favorite material from the EU like the Thrawn trilogy, Rogue Squadron, and other shit with changes made to fit in with the timeline established in TFA and TLJ, but "30 years of peace" kinda throws a wrench in that. Plus it's just kinda boring from a storytelling point of view knowing that nothing that takes place between Return of the Jedi and TFA can have any large-scale imapact.
>Is it a vast improvement over the old canon or more of the same stupidity?
Way too early to tell. It's better than the holiday special and Splinter of the Mind's Eye if we're talking about the first 4 years of EU material.

>the republic gains an army of clones, bought by a deceased jedi, made from the genes of a bounty hunter
>they don't question this
Except they did. You've never seen AOTC have you?

>You've never seen X have you?
Why do people keep parroting this

I genuinely do not understand how a medium based around art and visuals, specifically characters and expressions, can employ someone so fucking bad at those things on such a large/important project. Shouldn't Star Wars comics under Marvel be made by the best of the best when it comes to this shit? It's like if Lucasfilm decided to not use ILM and instead hired some youtubers with pirated versions of After Effects to do the CGI for Episode IX

>I suffered indignities
What did Kreia mean by this

they think it's clever to respond to you talking about a movie by asking if you've seen the movie

It's a pretty standard line in any movie related argument, not sure you could call it "parroting".

>I suffered and digged knitties

she got through her depression by knitting scarves and gloves

>It's like if Lucasfilm decided to not use ILM and instead hired some youtubers with pirated versions of After Effects to do the CGI for Episode IX
Please don't give them ideas.

>Do you enjoy it?
Some of it. Rebels is pretty great.
>Things you don't like?
TFA and TLJ basically mean I'm never going to watch a main timeline SW movie again. They were pretty god-damn awful. And considering SW is a cinematic universe first...it doesn't look good.
>Vast improvement or more of the same?
More of the same, I'm afraid.

...

I love everything that doesn't involve gays, pays(-to-win), or Reys.

Also I'm glad someone still has that ancient /toy/ meme image, it's been a long time since I first saw it when it popped up all those years ago, long before the Lucasfilm buyout ever happened. Back when Sup Forums still had doubles.

Posting by request and to salvage this awful thread

...

>believing anything pablo says
he even told you fools to stop believing him and he deleted all his tweets. pablo is a nobody.

now dave filoni. now his tweets you can trust to be 100% canon

Just a heads up I am pretty intoxicated so if I pass out...

...

...

Because the movie directly addresses this question. It's a major plot point but you somehow ignored it.

It cannot be overstated how irreparably fucked the post RoTJ era is.
I just treat that era like a diseased limb.
Everything else is about the same as the latter day EU- a mix of genuinely good stuff and middling shovelware.

I have to give it to the EU in the end though. TFA ruined the foundation of an era. Iger's greed was too great.

...

...

Is that obviously photoshopped?

Ecks dee!!! So epic!!!!!!!!!!

...

>bulge still there
FutAhsoka still CANON!

There needs to be a pastebin for answers to these zombified questions that get answered every time

...

>they don't question this
>Except they did
While they did question the Clone Army, they immediately dismiss it which makes it almost worse.
If they never thought anything was suspicious I could as least give them a pass, but they do think something is suspicious, but then do nothing about it.
It's almost as bad as Yoda stating that he knows the Jedi Order has an inherent flaw (the Jedi are all arrogant) but even as a Jedi Master and a sitting member of the Jedi Council he is doing absolutely nothing to correct the problem. He just says there is a problem and then does fuck all to solve it.
I understand the Jedi are supposed to be flawed in the PT, but when you make them overly flawed it diminishes the person who destroys them.

>intoxicated
Are you that faggot again

You do realize there's more than two people in Sup Forums right?

...

>intoxicated
oh shit, it's you again

By Dave himself. Truly terrifying.

...

duh. how else is he supposed to get a picture of his real plush against a 2d digital image?

...

I told you guys, I'm the one that storytimes the new comics every week and usually am the one storytiming shit in here.

...

>Are you that faggot again
>You do realize there's more than two people in Sup Forums right?

...

Such an awesome design. I wish he kept his "Crown of Thorns" in The Clone Wars.

...

...

I have unironically jerked off to this picture more times than I care to admit.

...

I wish the fight in Rebels was more like this

Holy shit, I loved the end of Maul in Rebels, but this is way more badass.

...

...

>I understand the Jedi are supposed to be flawed in the PT, but when you make them overly flawed it diminishes the person who destroys them.

>immediately dismiss it which makes it almost worse.
Yoda goes to Kamino to pick up where Obiwan left off. What changed the investigation was a massive army led by the Sith declaring war on the Republic. They needed to use that army. Syfo ordering the clones was made to make him look properly paranoid not an agent of evil

>Have there been things that you don't like about it?
The complete and utter shafting of the New Republic for the sake of rehashing the rebels vs empire storyline.

You know the death of Palpatine didn't really change anything, he was only one man. Even the restoration of the Republic didn't change anything, it doesn't matter rather the government is called the republic or the empire. What changed everything was the military disarmament act which happened off screen.

So the New Republic has all these star destroyers inherited from the empire and stormtroopers and it just decides to get rid of them? And the people are okay with that not to mention the military people themselves? The New Republic now despite being the legitimate government now thinks it could do with just shitty X-Wings that a ragtag group of rebels used to have and the same with the Resistance, because they want to completely rehash the rebels vs empire plot.

...

You made me get out of bed and onto my PC to post at you.

The answer is this- everytime this is brought up we go back and forth until you end up with "well the Jedi should have been shown asking more questions on screen", because even if they were, NOTHING changes about the plot. They need the clones. Period. The clones are suspicious, but it's highly unlikely that Dooku has anything to do with them because his droid army is big enough that the "Jedi will be overwhelmed" and he's clearly gearing up for war.
It would make no logical sense for him to not just use the droid army for whatever his nefarious goal may be.

And as for why Yoda calls it the Clone War- it's because that is the scene that shows that Yoda is very wary of this army and realizes that they are between a rock and a hard place. He calls it the clone war because the clones are the new and uncertain elemment- everything else was already in play. Dooku, the Trade Fed, the Seps. The clones and their mystery are what kick off the war.

>he is doing absolutely nothing to correct the problem.
What would you have had him do beyond what he was doing- letting his fellow Jedi know that there was a problem and that they weren't immune?

...
