Because its written by Alan Moore.

Pretty much this.
You think Lemire will do him justice in The Terrifics?

We’ll have to see. I’m optimistic.

It's just a simple man of action adventure series. It's the most basic of Moore's ABC work, the goal was fun. It's the lighthearted side of Moore that gave us Supreme

Lighthearted Moore is best Moore.

I'm a fan of horror Moore myself.

It's my favorite comic. Basically the perfect science hero, a complex main character, cute daughter, funny side characters, strange and crazy plot lines. It's everything comic books are supposed to be.

This is the one that Morrison singled out as the only Alan Moore comic that didn't contain rape, although it actually does lol.

So in which category falls Promethea's Moore?

Personal work powered by meticulous attention to detail? Which is Watchmen and From Hell/ Providence are crossovers into that and horror

Because Alan Moore has legitimate love of silver age comic books which Tom Strong takes influence from.

Yeah, I am starting to realize people give to much shit to Alan Moore for nothing. I understand he is a bit of a jerk sometimes, but his wok is one of the best out there.

Alan Moore is the best kind of comic book fan. He can laugh at all the silliness and absurdity of capes while still respecting it for the wonder and sense of imagination.

>This is the one that Morrison singled out as the only Alan Moore comic that didn't contain rape, although it actually does lol.

I honestly couldn't tell if that was a mistake or deliberate. Because he fucking had to know on account of his Batman run, and the aftermath of Morrison's claim about Tom Strong is Moore outright saying that Tom Strong was raped.

Some people think he's just the dark and edgy guy responsible for the Dark Age.

Moore is one of the biggest cunts and best writers in the industry, they're not mutually exclusive.

Top Ten had rape?

I mean if you find any footage of him talking to fans at a convention he comes across as very friendly.

I get why he sounds bitter, hearing the same questions in interviews for years because people want to get easy views from " Alan Moore trashes industry" or whatever they want from him.

The most outright angry he ever got was when Joel Silver, the producer behind V For Vendetta, lied to the press and said Moore had given his blessing to the project. WB then refused to retract the statement when Paul Levitz confronted them on Moore's behalf. That was the actual final straw when he left DC/Wildstorm for good.

Yeah, its basically the illustrated first draft of his magic grimoire, The Moon and Serpent Bumper Book of Magic.

It did (JLA knock-offs molesting their sidekicks), but the Tom Strong arc referred to involves this character:

Ah fuck you're right. I forgot about the JLA pedo ring story.

A huge plot point is a kiddie porn ring surrounding really famous heroes

Not to go in a tangent but appearently Moore’s dislike of film adaptations of his work dates back to when he read the first script for the movie version of Watchmen back in the late 80s. He was originally hopeful for the project but the script making massive divergents from the original story turned him off.

Really?

>Creates Watchmen
>Creates John Constantine
>V For Vendetta
>Top Ten
>Tom Strong.
>His Swamp Thing
>Providence
Alan Moore has an excellent career actually.

>Not including Supreme

Nigga...

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, my favorite comic series

Top 10 is my all time favorite comic. can't go wrong with it,

1963

Ugh no.

I didn't read those.

It was interesting but way too short and technically incomplete. I would have killed for a Horus miniseries though. Moore gets Kirby Thor.

Wreck it Ralph!

nigga get out.
