Bump. Flash rouges.

Somebody brought this up in a thread the other day, but Bizarro should have been the evil clone of Superman in Superman IV, not "Nuclear Man", an OC.
The movie would still suck though, there was no saving it.

I felt bad for her death

Im really just bummed at how under utilized she was. Deathstrike is kind of a big deal and they just sort of did nothing with her. Like she could have been a major villain out for revenge on Wolverine and teamed up with Striker based on that alone. Instead we just got a load of nothing then dead.

I swear it's like they just read a wiki article pick a character and then just toss them on screen with no though. As a fan of the comics it's frustrating and according to my non comic fan buddies it's just boring.

The original Nuclear Man seems like a really weird faux Bizarro.

>Lady deathstrike started doing viagra commercials

Kelly Hu always manages to get me up

>but Bizarro should have been the evil clone of Superman in Superman IV, not "Nuclear Man", an OC

Problem was that Superman fought an evil doppelganger of himself in Superman III. Fighting Bizarro in Superman IV would've just been the same thing again.

Now that I think about it, though, Superman II, III and IV all feature him fighting villains with Kryptonian powers. Different origins and circumstances for each, but they're all nothing more than Evil Superman in every film. God, the original film series sucked.

This.

Nuclear Man was Bizarro, just changed so

>Didn't require Christopher Reeve to perform double duty.
>Didn't require heavy make-up/prosthetics.
>Tied into the nuclear danger theme that Reeve wanted to explore.

Same situation as Ross Webster and his supercomputer from SUPERMAN III, who were originally Lex Luthor and Brainiac, before Gene Hackman refused to come back and Richard Pryor came along.

Very minor, but Selina Kyle's friend in the Dark Knight Rises should have been Holly Robinson instead of an OC. Really, the Dark Knight trilogy is full of OCs that could have easily been characters that were actually in the comics. Goes to show that Nolan didn't really care that much about the source material.

Metallo should've been the villain on BvS instead of Doomsday
They even had the perfect set up:::::::::: dude lost his legs and hates Superman, Lex Luthor ~helps~ him, he blows up, lex luthor makes him into a superman killer
With this you can have Superman fighting with a weakness and Batman fighting a not so powerful enemy, also Diana is there somehow

In her case, that was kinda' what happened.

The original script for X2 featured a human named Anne Reynolds as Stryker's enforcer. Producers felt that the third act lacked action and wanted a setpiece showcasing Wolverine, so they retrofit Reynolds into Lady Deathstrike and made her part of the mind-control subplot they had going on with Mastermind and Nightcrawler.

I agree.

Juggernaut was supposed to be in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST instead of Quicksilver. He'd be an ex-student of the Xavier's and a stereotypical dumb jock. Xavier, Wolverine and Beast would pick him up at his house in Alabama, and drop him into the Pentagon from the X-Jet. Juggernaut would tear through the inner levels, reach Magneto's underground prison and smash his way out. It's more or less accepted that they dropped him for Quicksilver to get their version of the character out before Marvel's.

Josh Helman was even cast as Juggernaut before things changed. They then gave him young Stryker as a consolation part.

Poor Juggy. I wonder if Disney will do anything with him.

Right but they could have just skipped the mind control bit and given her logan and some actual on screen chemistry. Have her actively gunning for his head, growing madder and madder about her revenge for a past he can't remember

That would require far too big a rewrite.

Hes supposedly in DP2.

>Juggernaut vs Colossus
Oh yeah, that would be sweet.

We better get another “I’m the juggernaut bitch”

It would have required an actual WRITE

Quicksilver was a better choice honestly. It helped expand the Magneto family like in the comics.

"I’m the juggernaut motha fucka."

In Deadpool.

>Juggernaut was supposed to be an ex-student of Xavier's
Wow, I'm really glad they didn't do this.

>Implying X2 didn't have a great script.

Don't you dare.

They all sucked

Fuck off mcufag.

This thread was made for Jubilee who has deleted scenes in almost every X-MEN movie.
X1 she was a student, I forget if it got deleted
X2

There was another scene where she gets rescue from nightcrawler that got cut

She got fucked over hard in Apocalypse
She was supposed to be Jean best, and die in the apocalypse fight. Storm was supposed to move into her room. To add on top of that they also cut the mall scene with Cyclops, Jean, and Nightcrawler
But they did make this
youtu.be/_kniQrk9jw0

Ray Parker, who made this joke character into a bad ass was supposed to be in X2, and fight with Nightcrawler. Ultimately he said he was too busy to come back.

i think lady deathstrike should have been in logan instead of x-24 (wolverine clone)

>She was supposed to be Jean best, and die in the apocalypse fight. Storm was supposed to move into her room

Bull. But that sounds awesome.

>>I swear it's like they just read a wiki article pick a character and then just toss them on screen with no thought.
That literally sums up FoX-men as a franchise. Deadpool, Xavier, Wolverine and Magneto were the only ones they "tried" with.

Quicksilver is arguably the best version of the character.

they never did lady death strike properly in the 2nd xmen movie so who would want her in another movie

yes if your going to put the cyborgs (even if its just 1 guy with a odd hand) in a movie about wolverine lady deathstrike should be in it though then you kinda need to do the entire back story to understand who the fuck she is and how her dad dueled wolverine

that design is just shit

Yeah, I was going to say this. Better use of Kryptonite too

>who would want her in another movie
me

Bump.

Is that where their rivalry in X-men Evolution came from?

Surprised the movies gave her so little attention, considering she was practically the main character in the 90's cartoon it seems like they'd try to cash in on that.

That WASN'T Holly Robinson?

Also minor, but this was noticeable.
In the scene where Bane blows up the football stadium, we see that there is a game between the Gotham Rogues and the Rapid City Monuments.
The actual name of Gotham's main football team is the Gotham Goliaths (and there's also the Gotham Knights), but Nolan decided to just make up a new name instead of bothering to check any of the dozens of stories that showed Gotham City football. And of course, they're playing against "Rapid City", which is a real place, instead of making a reference to any of the existing DC towns with their existing teams they could have used. They could have used Bludhaven if they wanted to stick to just the Batman mythos.
It feels like Nolan just goes out of his way to not make any references sometimes.

Her name was Jen.

Well, yeah.

Stephens and Ramírez were clearly Bullock and Montoya.

This so much.

Part of me believes that that was what they were going for, but Weekend of Ultron had DC worried about casuals saying that they copied Marvel, so they used Doomsday instead. Same thing with Cyborg looking much less like Iron Man, and more like a Terminator sloppily wrapped in foil.

>ex-student of the Xavier's
He's his fucking brother. And not a mutant.

I wasn't reading comics when Begins came out, and was confused about why Bullock was called Flass and was corrupt.

I can accept him being a mutant for the sake of simplicity, but I agree that Juggernaut not being Xavier's brother is dumb. He is literally the Cain to Xavier's Abel, it's what makes him interesting.

Magneto kinda' fills that role already.

Wonder why didn't they just use the plastic surgery excuse for Lex, Blofeld style. If Hackman came back later just say science did it.

Didn't not-Bullock die and not-Montoya turn traitor? Better not to use the real deals then

Metallo was probably going to be the villain of 2 Man 2 Steel before WB went into panic mode with BvS

Magneto is the crazy ex-boyfriend with whom you had a nasty break-up, not the same thing.

Probably make him a goofy villain that dies

I wish he'd go back to that at least in the comics. He's been on a non-stop rampage to avenge Charles since fucking Battleworld.
