That sounds about right for me. Were they going on recently? I know the subs have been out for a few years, but they just finished putting out all the dubbed episodes. The dub was amazing, the only voice that sounded out of place was Howard.
Jonathan Murphy
Looks interesting but an interesting story can only take you so far. Tell me about the waifus.
Ryan Williams
>the only voice that sounded out of place was Howard That sounds about right for Howard >How are the comics? The comics are GOAT but only up to 6 have been officially translated into english
Zachary Ramirez
There's Tomie, Siri and Marianne (comic). Balak (one of animators/directors of lastman) has also done some rule 63s of the main character, Aldana. They were pretty recent, like last year. There was a mega link that had all the subbed episodes and comics till tome 7. You should take a look Crisis Jung which is another project the Lastman directors are working on right now. It's coming out at around March-April. I'd post more screens but it's pretty NSFW.
Jose Green
>The comics are GOAT but only up to 6 have been officially translated into english
How are the unofficial translations?
You have two options, big tiddie waifu and young teen waifu. I'm honestly not the best to ask about waifus because I don't really do that kind of stuff.
Pic related is Tomie Katana. She starts out as a low level background dancer and her career grows as the series progresses, intersecting with the main character a few times.
Adam Hall
>NSFW Bueno.
Here's Siri, the young teen. The series is about protecting her smile, essentially.
Kevin Wood
>Last year Ah, I was on a Sup Forums hiatus around then, waiting for all the Sup Forums shit to die down. But that never happened and you're here forever so uh, here I am.
Zachary Ward
>Crisis Jung
Have any English news sites picked it up? Everything I can find about it is in French which isn't one of the one languages I know.
Parker Diaz
Most of the characters are named after irl tittymonster pornstars. Make of that what you will. If you're lucky someone will post the charts.
Hitomi Tanaka -> Tomie Katana is the one I remember off the top of my head.
Levi Foster
'geek' has one article on it and the bobbypills (the studio) site has a plot synopsis. They're also making two other even more NSFW comedy cartoons too which will never be able to be posted on Sup Forums and funnily enough /aco/ as well.
The comics are top tier and well worth reading. Unfortunately, only the first 6 Tomes are translated (there's currently 10). But, for reasons I won't spoil, Tomes 1-6 are like a "season 1" whereas 7-? are a "season 2" if you will. There's very much a full arc that's completed in 1-6 while 7-? starts a new one, so don't let the fact that 7-? aren't translated stop you.
Also, the tomes are really cheap. If you want to support the series and increase the odds of the new tomes getting translated, buy them instead of just pirating them.
Caleb Cooper
I've only heard of an unofficial translation for the seventh book but I haven't been able to find it or any translations for anything after that
Kayden Wright
lads the comics, the cartoon and the soundtrack are here
Hudson James
Yes, but he should still buy the comics to show support. It's the only way we'll get an english translation.
Thomas Reyes
Is there a rip of this dub anywhere for people that can't access VRV?
Blake Powell
true myself i have bought the 10 tomes and i'm gonna buy the spin off when it will be out but to be honest reading is one thing and collectioning the stickers are the things that complete the Lastman experience
Anthony Howard
user, you are a gentleman and a scholar.
Mason Sullivan
I was going to ask my LCS about picking them up. Dude gets rock hard when you talk to him about non-cape comics so there's a chance he'll order them new if I can so I can actually put some cash in the hands of the creators and the local economy rather than buying secondhand.
Jackson Collins
and you will too by saving this link and to share it with everyone you know

Is the comic anything like the show? I saw a bit of it and it just seemed like some magical tournament. Anyone from the show besides Richard ever show up?
Adam Nguyen
>Anyone from the show besides Richard ever show up? Short Answer: Yes.
Gavin Howard
>Looks interesting but an interesting story can only take you so far. Tell me about the waifus. Scum of Sup Forums
Christian Walker
He's not wrong though.
Nathaniel Sanders
>Complaining about magical tournaments
Why, that's literally the best thing to come out of the East. There should be more magical tournaments. That's what the Iron Fist TV show should have been.
Levi Scott
Good enough. I'm guessing that weirdo clown thing at the end is a major player? If you say so.
Ryder James
>I'm guessing that weirdo clown thing at the end is a major player? You mean Cristo Canyon? Yes, definitely.
Camden Sanchez
But he is. A waifu alone does not a show make. See: TUFF Puppy. Kitty is prime waifu material but Dudley constantly being a ginormous retard makes the show unwatchable.
Zachary Campbell
I enjoyed it, but I was bit confused with the ending,
I'm under the assumption the comic has richard actually in the valley of kings?
Also I is howard voiced by the same dude that voiced ovan?
Oliver Foster
I think what user means is that a show can be good, but his interest is only piqued if he knows its both quality AND there is waifu bait.
I can respect a man with priorities. There's just not enough time in the day to not prioritize your interests.
Brayden Martinez
Nevermind. Found it.
Ryan Torres
yes, the comic follows up on Richard in the valley, and you also get an explanation on the aftercredits scene
shit's sad and gritty
David Lee
>I'm under the assumption the comic has richard actually in the valley of kings? Yep. The comic takes place around 13-14 years after the ending of the show and starts with Richard going to the Valley of Kings.
Robert Lopez
My understanding is that the series acts as a prequel to the comics.
Howard uses Siri and the cup to open a rift to the Valley of the Kings. Richard stops the Ren inside of Siri from consuming the world by having it eat itself. The rift closes. Richard spirals at both the lost of Siri and Chubbs. Tomie comforts him hinting that she's at least moved past hating him.
I haven't read the comic yet, but an user posted the links for it earlier.
Eli Baker
This is legitimately one of my favorite cartoons. The show and the comic are essentially a boxer beating up magical shit on the surface, but then there's so much more behind it. The lore is interesting but it never takes over the story, the action and animation are top notch, and the designs for the characters and the Kinglets are perfect. I'm partial to the show because it uses its street level so well.
Daniel Torres
>I'm guessing that weirdo clown thing at the end is a major player? not really, but the character that ends up with him is
Ethan Cruz
user I am unironically in love with you
Xavier Perez
it's only got the show as far as I can tell
Nicholas Fisher
Oh right, I guess he was talking about the end of the show, not the end of the first tome.
Ryan Ramirez
Check the "Folder Link" section on the left side.
Adrian Sullivan
I fucked up by just pasting that link into a download manager, thanks for the help
Adrian Rodriguez
Yeah if anything I wanted to dive a little deeper into the lore. I guess the comics do that, so they didn't want to go over things people already knew?
Nolan James
>I'm under the assumption the comic has richard actually in the valley of kings?
yes the comic strats with richard arriving to the valley
Grayson Clark
is siri in the comic?
Jaxon Thomas
good job user
Jonathan Parker
Hey, thanks man! I have never made through the 6th episode I think. I was following the series on that youtube channel made by a french girl who was subbing it in english, but everything got deleted and I never saw the rest. Now I can watch it all.
Christopher Nguyen
I just finished, the show. What a ride. Time to read the translated tomes. How realistic are the chances of the Frenchs animating them in the future?
Jordan Moore

Matthew Torres
Highly unlikely. There was all kinds of political bullshit going on in the background that it forced a major backer in the TV series to pull out, which is why it ended so abruptly.
Isaac Scott
Well shit
Daniel Cooper
Agreed, France needs to make more stuff like this.
Levi Cox
It got lots of praise, some of them about being a better shonen than the japanese make.
Cooper Reed
>Balak (one of animators/directors of lastman) has also done some rule 63s of the main character, Aldana. WHERE? I beg you user, I am a huge fag for R63s
