Do you really want them too? It would lose all its charm in today's climate. They would cover Fairchild up and make her an in your face feminist, rainmaker would be an ugly butch dyke, the guys would be black and gender fluid, Roxy would be a Hispanic illegal. All the sexuality and teen angst would be stripped from the characters. They would be a shell of what you remember.

The only things worth reading are that and the original Choi/Lee/Campbell stuff and even then the latter is alright. Warren's run is far and away the best thing ever done with the characters. I've been meaning to storytime Warren's run for a while now likely just doing a couple a day (was gonna do Grunge: The Movie, Magical Drama Queen Roxy and the two issue fill-in to start). The only thing stopping me is being too broke to shell out for a pass. Maybe I'll get started over the weekend or Monday though.
I fucking love Magical Drama Queen Roxy though. It's hilarious going back and reading it now and seeing that what was once an over the top parody with P.C. Queen (and the "sensitive male" side of Grunge) is now something you can see just about every day either irl or online. Warren's run is a big reason why Roxy is such an underrated waifu.

Liefeld's stuff has like a zillion different divergent styles done by a variety of other creators (Alan Moore, Mark Millar, Warren Ellis, Erik Larsen, Brandon Graham, Jeph Loeb, etc) since the 90's onwards. Youngblood with 2010's style is no permanent than anything else.
Ellis' Wildstorm seems more like where the late 90's/early 00's Wildstorm was going anyway, even if it does excise 90's things.
