Toonami Ratings for 2/3/17

Adult Swim is funding two new 6 episode seasons of FLCL. Set for 2018.

Last week we had comically low numbers, like 380k at 12:30am or some shit. This week, things are still shitty but everything was an overall improvement.

I told you we would improve. Now excuse me, I have to fun tickle.

Super is CRUSHING it! It doesn't even need Toonami at this rate.

If anyone here who ordered the Toonami Box still hasn't received theirs, send a DM to Demarco on Twitter. He's offering to assist anyone who still hasn't gotten theirs because the company that Adult Swim contracted the "Adult Swim Box" program out to is incompetent as fuck.

Another week,another thread

Reminder that One Piece is the best selling comic book of all time, WORLDWIDE!

They contracted themselves?

I hate Sup Forums so I hate these threads by proxy

One Piece? More like None Please!

Is space dandy counting season 2 or no?

One more week before the End of Za Warudo

I think DeMarco said it may not even finish its first season rerun.

That's the plan.

BC still sucks but I find it growing on me nonetheless. Its comically low quality cliched and yet I still watch.

No. They contracted Box Boulevard, an outside company that has experience with LootCrate-type subscription boxes. Box Boulevard is not owned by Adult Swim.

Hey I was in that Sup Forums thread

we'll never get good ratings again, will we

Im amazed you chucklefucks are still circlejerking over them all these years later. Didn't this come about like a way to validate toonami and keep it from being taken off the air again? It's been six years now, I don't think it's going anywhere.

When precisely did toonami drop the fucking ball?

When they put Dragon Ball back on the block.

Nope. TV as a whole is dying, Toonami's just dying faster than most.

He will SAVE US!

When they decided to premiere Dragon Ball Super outside of Toonami.

It's still up.

Being a ragyofag is suffering.

Pop team Epic on the block never.

it's because of one piece isn't it

Here's last week:

>10:30 Dragon Ball Super 999 0.42
>11:00 Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters 782 0.33
>11:30 Black Clover 562 0.24
>12:00a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders 484 0.20
>12:30a Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 398 0.18
>1:00a Hunter X Hunter 386 0.18
>1:30a Naruto: Shippuden 423 0.20
>2:00a Outlaw Star 343 0.16
>2:30a Space Dandy (r) 319 0.15
>3:00a Cowboy Bebop (r) 389 0.20
>3:30a Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG (r) 375 0.18

I just fucking know that he's gonna rerun Kai. He should just come out and say it already as opposed to beating around the bush. On the bright side, maybe last week was a fluke, but this week shows promise. Maybe it's gonna turn around after all?

Some would say the dropping of One Piece. Others will say when we were inundated with 5 long-runners out of 7 slots. Who can really say? It doesn't help that there's effectively only three anime companies to work with now, since Aniplex is out of the broadcast business (barring SAO3).

>Super into Kai: Lose 20%
>Kai into Clover: Lose 20%
>Clover into JoJo: Lose 20%
>JoJo into Gundam: Lose 4.5%
>Gundam into HxH: Lose 4.5%
>HxH into Naruto: No Loss
>Naruto into Outlaw: Lose 9.5%
>Outlaw into Dandy: Lose 9%
>Dandy into Bebop: Lose 6%

Jesus Christ

TV as a whole is down, so you need to pay more attention to marketshare over the raw viewers

prime time and major network channels are struggling to break 1m themselves with popular stuff like simpsons, family guy and the one with the gay scientist. even this super bowl was the lowest ever in both attendance and viewership

>super bowl
not the lowest ever, just the lowest since 2009, which.. damn 9 years.

We didn't even have good ones to begin with. It's late night tv, stop pretending its numbers are crucial for it getting airtime.

This is the same channel that showed bebop on a loop for 15 years. Toonami is just a rebranding

>JoJo, Gundam, HxH and Naruto have the best retention of the night

What is WRONG with people these days?

>Eagles win
>lowest ratings ever

Even in victory Philthy still finds failure

April 2016 when they picked up HxH and started the trend of only airing long running generic shonen

By the time that crap comes on most of the audience is already gone

The Super Bowl has outside issues affecting it though, the flag kneeling shit has been taking a toll on the NFL all year long

>90 minutes into the block 64% of the audience is gone
My sides. How does he stay employed? Toonami is 100% his responsibility

And yet they still come back for Naruto

Not this week, they almost all stayed for HxH

Because of the lack of waifus. once KLK and AgK went off the air its all been downhill.

I think that if we got Keijo! or Senran Kagura at a decent time there will be viewers

How many weeks until Naruto is out of filler?

2 or so years

Anything with waifus would get the job done really. The lineup has way too much dick right now

>waifus are the answer
Pls no, the last thing toonami needs is the cancer that consumes most discussion of shows

>discussion
of a ded block?

Oh no, people will actually discuss something rather than complain about how boring and awful the lineup is, or spew out tumblr tier memes while Jojo is on.

You're just joking, right?

>implying that fawning over fake 2d grills is legtimate discussion
Yes

Whether or not you think it's legitimate or not doesn't matter. Waifus bring ratings and lively threads.
>having people pretend they never saw Dandy and spew the exact same memes they did when it premiered it the type of discussion we should strive for

Doubt you'd be singing the same tune when the quality of the threads masively deteriorates from all the waifushit. Also its been 4 years sice dandy premiered i'm sure there are plenty of people seeing it for the first time.

It really hasn't; NFL ratings are down like everything else but by relatively less.

>its been 4 years sice dandy premiered i'm sure there are plenty of people seeing it for the first time.
I seriously pity anyone who is only now getting into Toonami. They've missed the golden years and are wallowing in filth.

Here we are, back around 7 years now and still complaining about ratings, No matter how or when we go out, we had a decent run. We survived SAO, Gundam, and all the other crap that DeMarco shoved down our throats over the years and got the occasional gem every now and again. We even got some top tier waifus out of it. If this really is our last year here, while I won't say we were perfect, I'd say we turned out pretty damn good.

Thread quality was much higher in the days of KLK and AgK. Shit even when Blue Exorcist was on threads were better because the show had a few good waifus. I'd rather see waifu discussion over the same handful of TOONAMI IS DEAD posts every week

>7
6 come May

ALIVE

And they are watching it. The people posting in the threads are the people bored of reruns looking for something to do to pass the time

I agree with your sentiment, but fuck that end-of-the-world talk. We'll see better days eventually.

I'm leaving for good if Kai is being rerunned. I have no interest in watching FLCL2 anyway.

Nope

Not really, streaming has take full force, TV watching is down. Funi isn't going to give us anything anymore. This is pretty much our last year.

fairy tail is a possibility

>Golden years
So 15 years ago?

No shit. Nothing says stupid like picking up another longrunner. Stupid just happens to be DeMarco's specialty.

If it takes Kai's slot, which is high probability, what's the big deal?

DeMarco is going to rerun Kai, though, and he's probably going to keep it in the same slot.

I know we're circling the drain here quality wise but Fairy Tail, really?

I have never seen Fairy Tail, but with how good Black Clover is becoming I just dont know. all these anti fairy tail memes are kinda making me wanna watch it considering how wrong naysayers have been before.

The issue with Fairy Tail it gets fustratingly repetitive on how the heroes gets bodied 99% of the time then turns it completely with one attack

This devolves into getting fatigued from the series in general and just checking it occasionally for the borderline porn

That describes a good portion of modern shonen.

Would you prefer the alternative of a Kai rerun?

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND CREATE YOUR OWN DESTINY .... DON'T FEAR FAILURE

But Fairy Tail abused them in such a high degree literally everyone got burnt out to the point only the nudity was keeping interest

Yes, actually.

YES I will always take something straight-up new against a rerun, you should always do this. Even when we rerun something "good" like Space Dandy right NOW, it flops and nobody gives a shit.

I kinda find this interesting. Didn't Nielsen ratings also take streaming services like Hulu and Sling into effect? Or are the ratings posted more than the US? (not the same user)

How is Black Clover?

AAAAAAAAH AAAAAAAAH AAAAAAAH
tiddies AAAAAAAH AAAAAH WAS AN Ian Sinclair tires to salvage this wreck AAAAAAAH AAAAAAAH AAAAAH

What does this even mean?

Exactly what it sounds like.

HEY KIDS DO YOU LIKE NARUTO?
WELL HOWSABOUTS NARUTO THAT SCREMS ALL THE TIEM AND DOES MAGIC, but most of the magic is shitty cgi circle runes that are in every anime with western magic these days. FOR FUCK SAKE

I dunno the Saturday threads don't seem to suffer in quality during Black Clover (in fact next to Jojo it's probably when they're at the most enjoyable), how is Fairy Tail any worse?

Do you love fits?
Do you love am average at best battle shonen story?
Do you love a show going from one character as the main focus to the writers waifu who becomes OP as shit by the series end?
Do you love series that end due to the author not giving a fuck?

If the answer to all of those is yes, then Fairy Tale is the show for you.

>fits
Fits of tits

I don't love any of that. If anything, I'm likely to be the one throwing fits if DeMarco ever shoves that abomination onto the block.

The final episodes of IBO will bring the ratings

Sure it will.

You think Yamato 2199 could come to to toonami?

Is it good? If so, not a chance.

Yes, because Demarco is a huge fan of the original Star Blazers and has expressed interest in wanting the new one.

>Would you prefer the alternative of a Kai rerun?
It's not like there's another Dragon Ball series out there.

I don't really see Kai being rerun as a possibility now that we have Super. We might see it rerun after Super ends as a last ditch effort to save the block.

I want OG DB so bad.

>more than the US
Ratings don't count outside of the US
