I don't think it's awful but it's so different from the original cartoon both in art style and direction that it's quite jarring. It barely feels like Tom and Jerry, atleast to me.

The problem with the Dhuck's T&J is that they played out like a Wile E. Coyote cartoon than a Tom & Jerry cartoon. You could tel with every short that the guy was clearly out of his element.
