Best Green Lantern coming through

Best Green Lantern coming through.

Since when does John Stewart wear a mask?

>best Green Lantern
That's a bit of a misnomer when the Corps is explicitly so shit at actually being space police that they've been successfully replaced at least twice. The first time by Brainiac 2 and his ragtag band of weirdoes, and the second time by Sinestro. The GLs are fuckin' shite, mate.

Brainiac (the original one) once defeated the entire GL Corps without knowing he did it. They were shrunken and bottled by a robot probe he left deactivated in a junk heap.

Seriously? Oh, that's just kinda sad.

Not even the best earth lantern.

Well, he had the least boring design of the human Lanterns

that gun looks so out of place

t. Batman

seriously why does he even need a normal gun
cant he just imagine a gun with infinite ammo?

...

its like a safety blanket
with bullets

And why just a normal ass 9mm? You're a ring slinger, make a crazy sci-fi gun. Ratchet and Clank this bitch!

I swear, GL manages to turn me off from it at every turn. It's a franchise about space cops with magic rings that whatever the user can think of. And yet, they barely do any cop stuff, and the constructs are usually boring as hell. Goddamn.

Honestly I think Simon is the weakest, worst earth Lantern right now. He's fodder to be killed off whenever DC is ready.

Alan Scott And Guy Gardner are the best GLs.

it wasnt always that way

>literally a gimp mask
What were they thinking?

...

DICK
SUCKING
LIPS

>Battery power at 5%
what do now?

When he first got the ring it was very damaged and would frequently stop working. He got the gun in case the ring failed him and has hung onto it ever since. Recently Batman did manage to guilt trip him into dropping it, but the very next adventure he went on put him in a situation where his ring wasn't working and he really could have used the gun, prompting .

Better than a choker

Why does he need a gun?

Can't he shoot lasers?

>listening to Batman
>ever
It's really your own fault, Simon.

Seriously, why don't superheroes carry some kind of back up weapon? We've seen from countless stories that powers can fail for whatever reason at the worst of times, so it would certainly behoove a hero to have a backup plan.

And there's options. If a taser isn't comic book-y enough for you, there's always phasers that only have a stun setting, or a sonic grenade, or a stun glove, fucking something.

He shoots yellow bullets.
It's nerf or nothing!

...

This, Lanterns have too many weaknesses that depower their rings. It should be standard Corp policy to carry a backup

Great, there was also a time they fought Darkseid to a standstill and he only managed to get on top cuse he used the yellow glitch.
There was so many stuff over the last years that you could say anything about anyone.

...

WE

He was skiing.

>No girls allowed
>Jessica cries and plsys pokemon in the corner
It's just like Christmas all over again

Not even GLs, every hero needs something to fall back on.

Wouldn't it make more sense to carry something that packs a bit more punch though, like an alien supertech gun or whatever? What do you do if your ring fails but whatever you're fighting is immune or highly resistant to conventional weaponry?

>JLA Act of God could have just gone this route.
>Instead it goes WE ALL MUST BECOME BATMAN

> best

Not even close, pal!

He's the better of the two new ones, the gun was stupid, but at least he has a thing

>JLA Act of God
Ugh. Must you remind me of that piece of shit? For fucks sake, it's even made clear that tech based characters still have their stuff working. ... Although, Kyle's ring doesn't work even though it's tech. Fuck, that book was fucking retarded.

Did Moench just go insane or what?

>Steel dies because he's acting stupid.
>"THAT'S IT WE CAN'T RELY ON TECH HEROES ANYMORE"

Nope. He's just a retarded Batman fanboy. Even in Catwoman: Guardian of Gotham, where Batman is the villain, dude can't help but make him completely untouchable.

Oh, and in Act of God, all the magic characters are inexplicably absent, with the exception of Wonder Woman for some reason. There's just no consistency with this shit.

I guess Moench doesn't consider his husbando to be a tech based character.
