Tried making a thread about it, but it archived before getting a single reply. It's very good though! Anime quality story and semi-anime art, but still doesn't feel tooooo anime.

this webcomic is an interesting beast. on one hand, it should be setting off alarm bells in regards to quality (object heads, anime/geek culture references, teen angst, sexy gay amorphous babies uwu) but on the other hand it's actually pretty well done. I wasn't that interested in the author's previous work, but this one has a pretty neat, fairly developed setting and world, some engaging mystery elements, and decent (in comparison to similar comics) character drama.

I wouldn't say it's great, but it certainly is on a higher tier than most of the crap on tapas.\

as for webcomics, pcate's work is fantastic in the art aspect, but I never see anyone talk about it.

Judging by how it's never talked about here, I'm gonna go with Manly Guys Doing Manly Things. It's one of my favorite comics, even if a good third of its humor is referential. Even the jokes that are "X video game/movie character does thing because he's X" are usually really good.

I might get banned for furshit but I really like this web comic. It's lighthearted and cute. I haven't kept up with it in a while though, I should start again

90% of webcomics have some sort of anime influence though.

Looking for something without anime influence? Try Life: The Necropolis. It follows a wanderer who takes up various mercenary jobs. It’s got a cool art style and a nice art evolution.

Man, I love robots and objectheads but the ending of MSB seriously bothered me and put me off from the author's work.

I think it's actually pretty recommended on Sup Forums

I never see anyone talk about it. I guess because it's good, updates regularly, and the creator isn't an ass so there's not much to say other than "it's good, go read it."

MDGMT is in the "most people like it, we got no complaints, so no angry yelling at each other" category. it also updates once a week which is kinda slow.

Uhhh, nothing that *only* I like, but I got some unpopular favourites. Maybe unpopular because they're dead:
- Faans (T. Campbell)
- Platinum Grit (Trudy Cooper)
- Demonology 101 (Faith Erin Hicks)

Finally got around to finishing Octopus Pie yesterday. I know I am not the only one who likes it but it's a good series and I dunno what the discussion around it has been like since it ended last year.
That cover looks sick, I'll check it out.

Anybody here read Drive?

>four leaf
eyyy welcome to the fandom of 10 fans

...

What was the ending?

NofNA

Make fun of my all you want (I probably deserve it) but I still enjoy Penny Arcade.

Penny Arcade is good though.

But it's not though

Fairly recent so that plays a role in not much people knowing about it

I like this kind of sketchy style a lot actually. Like a comic you'd find in a alternative music magazine.

Style and colors looks cool

I'd say this specific strip is emblematic of it's humor

looks like some 2000ad

I found this last year
Stand Still. Stay Silent.
Anyone read?

Trixie Slaughteraxe for President.

For context: There is a mysterious dead body in the other room, hence why the two characters are so nervous.

I feel like I really got to sell this, but Thorsby's comics have such excellent writing that you can actually forgive the incredibly shitty artwork. And I'll even argue it isn't that shitty, the artwork may be crude and ugly but it is effective at clearly communicating what is happening. And Thorsby actually updates on time and has ACTUALLY COMPLETED MULTIPLE COMIC PROJECTS. Transdimensional Brainchip is amazing, as is Hitmen for Destiny, and Sisters Lies and Wives is short enough and witty enough I can see it turned into a staged production. Trixie Slaughteraxe is just as good, and follows the titular character as she vies for the presidency. It is very funny and very clever. Thorsby's comics introduce conflicts that are layered like puzzles, seeing how the characters get themselves out of these elegantly convoluted situations is a treat.

Yes this is very high praise given that the artwork is so awful but I stand by it, I'd really like someone else to discuss this comic with.

I've read some of it but not most of it.

On the comic's site now. Loving this shit. Thanks for letting me know about it.

hardycases.com

It's good. Really good.

Won't say I'm the only one but I never see anyone mentioning Nedroid
I really love it, it's a shame he's takes so much time

Does anyone remember a diary webcomic by some kid where his baseball cap kept growing bigger? Obtuse thing to remember it by, but that was his "defining feature" since the art was pretty basic.

The protagonist and his two love interests end up in a polyamorous relationship and have children.

What? Nedroid is dearly loved by lots of people on Sup Forums.

It's like a goddamn fever dream.

demoneater.thecomicseries.com/comics/1/

How new are you, Nedroid is like one of the most beloved webcomics ever.

Gotta be honest, when you put it like that it doesn't sound too convincing.

Now, I'm sure I'm not the only one on Sup Forums who likes Schlock Mercenary, but it sure as hell doesn't get recommended very often considering that it's probably one of the best webcomics out there.

Can you please stop shilling your comic? I've seen this thread start with your comic 3 times this month alone. Give other people a chance, if your comic is good let people decide on their own not act like its underrated

whats even the point of making this thread is everyone is stealth promoting their own comic anyway

Sup Forums has plenty of objecthead fags, it's not unreasonable to think someone really like the OP.

I’m the faggot who posted Drive up there. I can’t actually draw, but I wanted to talk about it because I’ve never seen it posted on here before

Drowtales

That's the point people can promote their own thing within limitation, Teri Blohkin is the things that has been promoted by the OP in likely 6 threads in the past 2 month. He may aswell get a sticky that just promotes his own comic.

> Nature of Nature's Art
I read it too. I didn't mention it because, well, animals as main characters.

I can complain about how humor about actual videogame characters has been replaced with humor about her OCs and drama about their futuristic pansexual relationships... zzzzz

Don't you have to pay to read that?

I want to specifically point out the "200 bad comics" page on Nedroid

nedroid.com/bcpage1.html

Which is a shame because Coelasquid is one of us.

ONE OF US

ONE OF US

I mean her OCs are at least likeable. And other than a few instances where she mentions that the far future just has looser rules of gender (most semi-dystopian transhumanist sci-fi does), it's not like she crams an agenda into her work blathering about acceptance or whatever. It rates like a point-5 on a ten point scale of SJWism, so I don't even think it's even worth bitching about.

She boards for Cartoon Network, the poor woman, but I can't seem to find any shows she's done.

I think it's just us two buddy. Schlock is fantastic.

It Hurts

I'm pretty sure it's very well loved here. It Hurts!! threads are always nice, especially if Gob drops by.

No, just the porn comics.

I think it's interesting how Thorsby went more 'SJW' (more diverse bodyshapes/colors roles) from Hitmen for Destiny the only other comic of his I read.

Not a personal complaint , mind you, just an observation. Then again a plot point from the Hitman is someone being a lesbian.

Right now it's about living lab experiments stuck in a Goverment-owned lab dedicated to creating new supersoldier lifeforms. Updates every two weeks so keep that mind if you decide to follow it.

...

Why do this look so much better in b&w ink?
This is grand. Love when comics are stylishly flat.

I personally prefer the digitally colored pages but I guess some like the authentically drawn pages on paper
