The democrats are over with. There's no going back to what they once were. Eight years of obama and hillary's idiotic antics have ruined them permanently. Even the people who voted for hillary this time did so with contempt, and they're not going to find anyone within 4 years to challenge trump. It's over.
What will actually happen is the democrats will split into two groups: the idiots who think they can gain votes by becoming between 1 and 1.5% more right wing, and the idiots who think what the country really needs to get back on its feet is a nationwide witch-hunt for every single person who might be described as racist, sexist, etc. This second group will agitate for racial nationalism (no whites allowed) and engage in random acts of terrorism to "make their point", which will just propel us closer and closer to the race war they're all looking forward to, which they'll claim trump caused.
No new party will emerge. The democrats will just fade into the background, much like Labour did in the UK, and become a joke that people tell at parties rather than something people actually vote for. In 30-40 years, the democrats will slowly begin to re-emerge, an old name attached to a new party, which if history is our guide will be advocating for pedophiles, serial murderers, and people who don't use their turn signals while changing lanes.
Anthony Hughes
That or either the greens, teas, or libertarians will replace them.
David Young
I really have no idea what's going to happen to them
>1. We're in the same ol 8 year cycle where Democrats gain Congress in 2020 and take back WH in 2024. Prolly run some moderate leftist who can appeal to both sides of party.
>2. True split emerges with SJWs on one end and moderates on the other. Probably the worst outcome for them as I don't think those sides can join up at this point. Party goes on but in current disheveled fashion. This is the best outcome for real conservatives.
>3. The party actually breaks up or the SJW wing takes over everything and the moderates become independents or Republicans. The GOP would become a moderate (barely right of center) populist party. The Dems would doom themselves to irrelevancy at this point.
Jaxon Perez
I'll take a Republican party shift to "just right of center" if that's the cost of SJWs alienating themselves and tearing apart the Democratic Party from the inside out
Dominic Johnson
I hope so
Libretarian Vs Republican Vs Constitution would be a great America
Levi Reyes
let's hope so. I'm surprised Trump is getting enough credit for his massive social media presence. He was a twitter shitposter long before his campaign days, and he had tons of followers before he ran for president. The only way for Democrats to win is to nominate someone with a huge social media presence. Hillary's was a joke compared to Trump. Now there's talk about nominating some literally who NJ senator just because he's black. I hope you're right and the democrats fade into irrelevance just like labour did and we keep racking up a supermajority
Dominic Long
Whatever happened to "boonie sanduhs will come and save us"? Where did all those little bwabbys go?
Daniel Johnson
They said the exact same thing about the Republicans.
Both parties will swing slightly populist, that's all that will change. A few old faces will be phased out in exchange for a few new faces.
Now it's just a grab for demographics, to see if the Republicans can hang on to the surge of pissed off white working class people or if the Democrats can keep their minority/elite base fired up.
Juan Miller
he will be 79 years old by 2020. Even if he did win, he would probably die six months into office. McCain got shit on in 2008 for being "too old" even though he was only 72 while Bernie was 75 when he ran
Elijah Hughes
He got shut down by the establishment democrats, who are currently shitting themselves to death. Bernie will be a spokesman for the New Democrats, who will drive to get more support from the old Blue Dog base.
Aaron Nguyen
Problem is, third worlders do not care about corruption, hence the shitholes they crawled out of is such an irrepairable mess.
Democrats are now the designated party of "diversity", and nothing, no corruption scandal or video will shake their voting patterns, since they literally dont care.
With america being 60% and decreasing white, the democrats just have to wait 8 years until the next patch of shit finally hits voting age, and then be secured forever out of the now formed majority.
Jacob Wilson
>Bernie will be a spokesman for the New Democrats
he was bought off. If he does that he'll die mysteriously in his sleep, just like Scalia did
Connor Barnes
Greens probably. Identity politics was blown off the face of the earth, watch a switch to muh climate change as the new rallying cry. Loads of filthy hippies will begin to protest all the prosperity new manufacturing jobs will bring under the guise of environmental protection. Also weed, the constant of all libs.
Carter Russell
corey booker is a huge rising star. he was mayor of newark (one of the most dindu cities on the east coast)
i can see him running in 2024
Nathaniel Young
If bernie were to start breaking away, the democrats would unleash all their blackmail on him and sink him into becoming the lefts equivalent of david duke.
Aaron Nguyen
do you really think the young, cool black guy gimmick can work again? They already milked that with Obama. They'll either nominate an old school Democrat like Jim Webb or shoehorn some beaner into the limelight
Logan Martin
>everythings good forever go home everyone
ur being a fag
Brody Torres
To add to that, the democrats are getting set up for a complete blowout in 2018.
I mean, fuck, look at how many dem seats are up for reelection.
Colton Martin
He was bought off because if Hillary had won, his populist section of the voter base would be out in the cold and pissed off, and Hillary would never allow an insurgent portion of her administration.
Now they all lost and he's free to go around beating the drum for a resistance in congress or whatever.
Nathan Moore
what was bernie paid off with? what would he have gotten if Hillary won?
poor bernie was paid with false shekels
Nathan Hernandez
The funny thing is, between those three parties, there are things I like about all of them. Having it be Libertarian vs Republicanism would be great to help push for an end to Federal overreach.
Colton Gray
The democratic party is dead, there's only the socialist capitalism where they remained.
Liam Long
he's just weak he probably just got convinced to cuck
Dominic Howard
Paid off with a promise of a cabinet seat or some other high position within a Clinton administration.
Thomas James
That's hilarious because Newark is a shithole. Seriously, it's nearly as bad as Camden and actually worse than Philly.
Logan Taylor
we bought ourselves some time by electing Trump. We dodged a serious bullet by not making Hillary president
Nathaniel Fisher
black man will always be a safer play than beaner
dnc is still reeling from hillary losing. they might put up another nog before another woman
Kevin Gonzalez
>false shekels. The kike brought a new summer home and cruised away in a sports car. He got very well paid.
Ryan Harris
you don't have to tell me. i met him once and he does seem like a decent man, but theres only so much you can do when your city is >50% black
Christopher Stewart
and midterms are usually favorable towards republicans because democrat voters are too stupid or oblivious to care about midterms
Aaron Scott
To quote Moggy, it would be good for the republicans but bad for the country as nobody will be able to hold the government to account. This means that the current government can become sloppy and inefficient, whilst still maintaining power.
Joshua Jenkins
If Democrats become more like the Labour party they can do very good. Jim Webb could beat Trump.
Lincoln Collins
if dems don't vote in mid-terms is it only Republican congress candidates that do better? or do 3rd party candidates also do better in mid-terms?
Oliver Hill
Jim Webb is too much of a Blue Dog to get votes from the minority and elitist base the Democrats have put their stake in. He defended the Confederate memorials in Richmond and killed gooks for fun. He'd never get the feminist base fired up.
I still wrote him in, though.
Zachary Scott
won't happen because the democrats kicked Jim Webb to the curb in favor of Hillary. I'm pretty sure he actually voted for Trump too
Trump will most likely have a good first term so whoever the democrats nominate will not defeat him
Gavin Hughes
Trump HAS to be successful in everything that he touches.
And I mean EVERYTHING.
If kek will it, this will be true and degenerates dissapear at least for awhile.
Quite like the idea of free party filling the void with a more constitutionalist outlook tho.
Jason Mitchell
yes good goy, keep sucking the republikuks dry
elite's greatest con was brainwashing americucks with this red/blue mentality. also you're retarded, more people voted for the dems even if their candidate was one of the worst ever.
Ian Myers
Plz god
Asher Parker
to really finish off democrats they should pressure bernie sandcuck into splitting the democratic party and creating something new with the followers
John Russell
All he has to do is trumpet all his successes 24/7 and not leave any room for dissent and bitching. Every new car factory, every new bridge, every broke family brought out of poverty needs to be front and center every day. That'll keep his existing base energetic about him, and keep the liberal left off balance.
Jaxson Morgan
We meme #2
Zachary Allen
So I guess your boat didn't sink in the Mediterranean, huh?
Zachary Bennett
somehow Trump is insanely successful at everything he does. He never ran for office before but got elected president. That's like making a full court shot on your first try
Leo Wilson
Dems are going full Bernie. U.S. will be following in the way of Canada in 4-8 years, unless Trump ends democracy first.
Jackson Lopez
It is all about trump. If he pulls a reagan and make the economy do a huge jump, it is over. He will smear into everyones face that he was right, obama is an incompetent, the democrats are corrupt faggots. The party will lose all credibility, the libertarian will probably rise in its place.
Zachary Perez
Nope, it ain't over yet: A globalist movement is underway to declare the results invalid. Next narrative is that Russian hacking rigged results on voting machines, wait for it.
Soros and the DA are plotting the fuckery now. Expect a manufactured constitutional crisis soon.
Get off the floor and stop sucking each others dicks, WE GOT WORK TO DO!
Lucas Jones
Then we truly become the new Jews.
Create a machine and let the new cancer kill the old cancer then begin a new until only we remain and all is washed clean.
Poetic.
Christian Clark
I was thinking of something similar along these lines a few days ago, OP.
Traditionally, the Democrats have been a party that was split between progressive leftism, and moderate, pro-union "Blue Dog" Democrats.
With Obama getting elected, the party has begun to shift away from the more moderate elements (which let Bill Clinton have a pretty good 8-year run as POTUS), and further into the progressive arm of the party. They enacted legislation that hurt unions, such as Obamacare which imposed taxes on health care that unions spent years fighting for.
While the left is spouting "RACISM! XENOPHOBIA! HOMOPHOBIA!" of Trump's voters, the reality is this: Trump appealed to a lot of moderate, blue-dog Democrats that are probably card-carrying AFL-CIO members and trade unionists that follow Democrat party line most of the time.
These voters see that jobs are being taken away via NAFTA and the progressive destruction of America's manufacturing base, and switched parties to vote.
Its possible that going forward, the Democrats won't look outside for new voter segments, but continue to look inward, believing that their key to winning going forward is continue to court the minority/non-white vote, believing that shifting demographics in those areas will favor them in 2020, 2024, and so on.
IMO, its a very poorly-though out strategy. The economy is typically the #1 issue - that and security - which the Democrats are handing part and parcel over to the Republicans and right on. Continuing things like "The war on coal" is not going to do them any favors.
Isaiah Adams
He was the only sensible one in any of the debates. I actually liked him after seeing him.
