>slott and waid have both removed themselves from twitter
things are looking up for twitter

He blocked my Twitter for following DiversityAndComics. Retarded because I follow all kinds of people with all kinds of ideologies. If I was personally making attacks on people, fine, but because I follow someone? Weak.

Past relaunches haven't helped.

Marvel desperately needs a reset.

eyyyyy the template is back, now somebody post the folder or atleast one without the "Next #1"

>Following a retard

...

Am I supposed to hate these? Because I'd read the fuck out of a Conway/Capullo Spider-Man. RYV proves Conway can still write a good Spider-Man.

They’ll be back.

They always come back.

No one can escape twitter.

I am waiting for Nick Spencer to apologize to me still

So these guys have access to the Cosmic Cube and the Infinity Gems and they still can't reboot a universe that isn't shit

I came up with them like last year when this template was made. I agree, still love Conway's take on Spidey

They got forced to delete their Twitter account.

And the reason is Black Panther, not DC pulling a Rebirth. Based Akira ordered them to delete their Twitter accounts because he doesn't want them creating a shitstorm attacking fans while Black Panther is in theaters. CC wants Marvel to be 100% neutral even as Disney ramps up the race war bullshit in the promotion of the movie. This way, when the inevitable shitshow happens with Black Panther online with the lunatic left and the alt right, Based Akira can protect Marvel itself from the PR nightmare that will ensue by forbidding his writers from throwing down as part of the shit show.

>DCYou stage of JUST?

I liked the DCYou stage

Probably because of the EVS thing.

Secret Wars was a soft reboot, but it happened around the time that DC was still holding onto the New 52, so Marvel made a huge deal about how they were not going full New 52 and rebooting everything.

Also Cosmic Cube is tainted by Secret Empire/Hydra Cap and Infinity Gauntlet is one of those things that they've explicitly stated, is more likely to wipe out the universe than reboot it. Not to mention that humans can't wield it period (Iron Man had to scatter the gems once he got it before he could blink the universe out of existence while Cap broke the gems using it to stop an incursion.

Block chains have been around since Gamergate, but are more examples of the pure evil of liberals and SJW, in that they would rather live in carefully curated bubbles that are 100% detached from reality, than deal with facts and truth and actual diversity of thought.

Yeah I have no idea what the OP is talking about because DCYou was fine, it just didn't have the push behind it like Rebirth did.

DCYou was a prelude to Post-SW SJW garbage we got from Marvel.

For context, DCYou Superman fucked up shit so fucking badly, it BROKE DC ENTIRELY on the New 52 Superman. Made them cave and bring back Superdad and the marriage.

Similarly, no one wanted Jim Gordan as Mecha-Batman or Hobo Hal Jordan, or the abortion of the Finches WW run.

I still don't understand what the fuck happened with Superman. As shitty as Lobdell's was, it at least got from story to story without going full retard. Then Johns came in and everything got fucked up.

they'll probably delete their twitter again and again

>Similarly, no one wanted Jim Gordan as Mecha-Batman
honestly I actually kinda liked the idea, and think it should have stuck around for a while even once Bruce came back

Good. Twitter made them go crazy. Maybe if they spend less time arguing with randos they'll spend more time working on their scripts.

Same. The actual stories were okay.

>Similarly, no one wanted Jim Gordan as Mecha-Batman or Hobo Hal Jordan

I did. It was actually different and interesting

Wow Slott and Waid quit twitter for like the hundredth time, who cares.

>Sup Forums: twitter retardation and tertiary bullshit
Fuck all of you

I liked Superbro, but goddamned did the DCYou arc take forever to get where it was going.
Hobohal had an interesting premise, but was completely let down by both the writing and art.
Batlabor I felt was too much of a departure from the status quo, especially for their bread and butter. It might have been better served in Tec with a renewed focus on the Gotham PD.

>Kate Leth is a shitty person
>Hellcat is awful
>Hellcat gets cancelled
>Leth leaves Marvel
>Sup Forums moves on and occasionally mentions Hellcat
>Gabby Rivera is a shitty person
>America is awful
>America gets cancelled
>Gabby leaves Marvel
>Sup Forums won't shut up about this bitch as if she's still relevant
Has this board fallen this much?

twitter didn't make them crazy
it just showed us how crazy they were already

DC just got John Romita Jr. and had to put him on something HUGE. So what better way to push his arrival than use Geoff Johns. It was a dynamite combo as far as the industry was concerned. Thing is, Johns heart wasn't into it. It was obvious he was doing it for the good of the company. After sales didn't set the world on fire, shit kinda went haywire.

It wasn't just that, it was that his new position meant he had to oversee TV and other stuff, so WB forced him to take only one title (and he chose Justice League).

Wouldn’t they want them to attack people since “anger sells”? Hmmm?

Plus Black Panther is going to make money regardless of clickbait articles and trolls. The movie is hyped up more than Wonder Woman.

I would say less hyped up. The market they're glorifying is 13% of the population (plus virtue signalers), versus 50% (plus virtue signalers) for WW.

Who cares? There are other dozen Marlel employees complaining about GRONALHD DRUMPGRPF and Nazis taking over the world.

Hellcat was bad.
America is entertainingly bad.

>Based Akira ordered them to delete their Twitter accounts
Probably threatened them with his katana.

DING DONG THE BITCH IS DEAD
...for now?

Anger doesn't sell, the last few years of steadily declining sales have shown them that.

>Is Marvel Rebirth happening?
If so, they better do pic related

What happened?

Not much into comics, who is this fag and what did he do?

Spider-man writer, he tends to get into twitter slapfights like an uppity teenager.

>his GLA was the last time we saw a good Squirrel Girl

I wonder if this was a conscious decision or the Mouse just got fed up with him showing his ass on the regular.

Decided to write Peter as a whiny incompetent jackass for ten years out of sheer spite for his character. Has an autistic love Doc Ock, penchant for decent story ideas but horrible execution, extremely petty and self fellating tool who blocks anyone and everyone on twitter that doesnt do the same for him.
Also Spider-Verse, worst event in Spider-man comics ever and a lot of it done out of sheer hate for fans of Peter.
On the levels of awfulness, pretty goddamn horrible.

>implying that your only exposure to people you disagree with isn’t for rage-porn purposes

Sure user. I believe you.

It would definitely help them.

I only got back properly into comics in the last 2 or 3 years (I read a ton of Vertigo back in the day but never much mainline DC or Marvel, then was only picking up the trades of Swamp Thing, Fables, Atomic Robo and briefly Demon Knights, until it was canned, for a good few years), and even now being a couple of years deep back into going into my LCS every week my pull list of about 30-40 books has 3 Marvel titles on. Rest is about 40% DC/60% indie.

Just easier to get into it when you've got built in jumping off points every 5-10 years. I remember picking up Morrison's X-Men to try some Marvel since I enjoyed his Animal Man, and had no idea what the fuck was going on. I've since read Claremont's run and in hindsight it was all basic stuff like who the Shi'ar are which basically anyone who's read any X-Men would know, but as someone brand new to the series I was lost.

>going into my LCS every week my pull list of about 30-40 books
You read a lot of garbage.

This. Or he inflated his number. 120-160 books a month is about the number of releases a store would even stock. That's including Marvel. Sure there's double shipping, and I myself buy two copies of certain titles, but even I find that excessive. Drug habits cost less money.

But hey, maybe he has all the time and money in the world. What do I know? Because, of course, I assume he reads those 30-40 stories each week.

I get that youre a newfag so let me explain basic human psychology to you.

People have more fun rabble rousing about bad things than they do wanking off about good things. Comic nerds are especially guilty of this. Its not a new concept, I promise you. This is human origins shit.

30-40 per month, not week.

Still a lot of garbage.

why wasn't this accepted anyway, you finally have a good artist going out of his way to pitch a passion project and you ignore him
it would probably have decent sales

>it would probably have decent sales
Probably not.
Also, "passion projects" don't mean shit. DC and Marvel almost never accept pitches, they'll seek you out for something. Lotta people have said they've pitched stuff that was never approved.

This. Pitching them is basically giving your idea away for them to hand to a different creative team when they feel enough time has passed that it's their idea by then.

Team dynamic makes no sense. From a strictly power level point of view why would you need moon knight AND punisher? The power level and type of villain overlaps too much. Plus to have them on a team with Strange requires a damn good reason for him to be wasting his time with street level murderers.

No, they'll just ignore it. Not like they pay you extra for the idea anyway.

It does sell, it's just that you can only ride the anger train for so long before it stops working. They were coasting on anger-induced high sales for a while, then when that stopped working, they didn't understand why and just doubled down on it because it was working so well beforehand.

>Sup Forums won't shut up about this bitch as if she's still relevant
Because we haven't gotten something to move onto. Marvel needs to put out a new shit SJW comic for us to bitch about. Until then, America will be the comic we bitch about.

Nope. Next question.

They're not going to put out more sjw shit, Cebulski wants the Asian market not the whiney fags from tumblr.

Either New Coke strategy or Marvel are planning something maybe for an audience that actually cares instead of a phantom SJW audience who don't even read or buy comics.

Yeah, they're moving on to the Asians.

Speaking of which has anyone noticed there's been more push for Jubilee lately?

This either could fail or has potential. I've been really enjoying DC's New Super-Man and it seems like Marvel is trying to imitate that, maybe get a first all Asian superhero movie before DC do. Could be that Marvel and Disney's latest failures at the Chinese box office are starting to wake them up.

>when they feel enough time has passed that it's their idea by then.
Didn't Starlin leave because they turned down his pitch and gave it to someone else pretty much immediately or something?

>Wouldn’t they want them to attack people since “anger sells”?
Yeah, because that worked so well in the last 5 years. Or for other companies. Ever heard of Aubrey Stitterson?

Until I see some firings and not "we moved so-and-so to a position where he/she is technically still employed but can do no harm" then nope.

Well it's not a full blown push into the far eastern comics market, they're just testing the waters with a few comics made by creative teams from the countries that they're releasing them in. But they're still set on earth 616 just in asia and not in new York.

I'm out of the loop, what's happening here?

You should feel bad tho D&C is retarded

Twitters are getting deleted because they don't deserve to have them, twitter leads to a lack of professionalism in comic writers.

Who the hell would they even fire? They barely have any editors as is, and most of their exclusives are gone.

Yeah Brevoort fucked Starlin over. It had to do with his and Alan Davis' Thanos trilogy and the Thanos ongoing both having very similar plots despite the trilogy being greenlit first. And then Brevoort got caught lying about it. Also Marvel editorial categorically refused to let Starlin work on the ongoing because of the MCU, even though he works with the MCU and still likes them. Brevoort is a fucking dick and I can't wait for him to die of a heart attack

Yeah I'm guessing, I was wondering what did they do to get this reaction

Comic book artists and writers being asked to stop posting on twitter by their employers because 90% of their time spent on it is spent insulting anyone and everyone who disagrees with their politics, which reflects very well on a business, especially one that relies so much on public image and cannot have any captive market.
Basically, art graduates having to act like the professionals they are supposed to be for the first time of their lives and no longer getting to call everyone a meanie because they disagreed and block them to make sure they don't hear the meanies even responding.

It's probably a response to DC putting it's foot down after EVS and his twitter bullshittery.

How long until Starlin completes his usual cycle and goes back to DC?

>Yeah, because that worked so well in the last 5 years
Well, yeah.

I can see that

Well, I know nothing about that either. Who's EVS?

Yeah, DC totally did that because EVS was out there spewing racist nazi bullshit and being a supporter of known white nationalist mass shooter Sam Hyde.

It didn't work, at all.

lol

They should've canned him for his art going to shit.

Lemme see, which of the series that had bad publicity (which is still publicity right:^) ) is still going and met a large audience?
America? Moon Girl? Iron Man ~*!STARRING RIRI WILLIAMS!*~?
Right, two of these are cancelled and the last one should be a massive best-seller if Marvel had been trying to run a business and tie it better to the insanely successful movies starring Iron Man rather than going on a moral crusade about muh minorities and muh wamen.

Didn't you get the memo, ever since the Original Sin Strange and Punisher have been best buds.

>moon knight AND punisher
Moon Knight is the money of the operation.

And I just realized how much money a New Super-Man movie could make in China alone. Good lord I want DC to beat Marvel to the punch just to see how their reaction would be.

Or Darwyn Cooke who pitched some all ages stuff got rejected and sometime soon after very similar titles to his pitch came out.

Is it bad that I want to call him Yoshida without mocking him? It's an endearing weeb nickname and easier to spell.

I call Yoshida-san without the slightest hint of mockery, he played the game and now he's on top getting to go full weeb.

There was also this incident:

bleedingcool.com/2010/04/15/x-men-versus-twilight/

Basically back in 2010 Millar planned to do an Ultimate Avengers arc involving Blade, vampires, and mutants, and then found out the X-office suddenly announced a storyline involving Blade, vampires, and mutants.

If you read the published Ultimate Avengers arc, it didn't have anything to do with mutants, which probably meant Millar did change it. An argument could be made that Millar didn't write mutants into the story in the first place, but if you notice, after he concluded Ultimate Avengers, he didn't come back to Marvel and stuck to his creator-owned stuff.

>Well, I know nothing about that either. Who's EVS?

Ethan Van Sciver.

DC changed it's social media rules because EVS told a fan to kill himself a few years ago. He apologized but DC wants to make sure stuff like this never happens again.

I don't understand the point of this since they've established new Asian young adult anti-heroes and heroes recently. With that little girl from Iron Fists and new Constrictor from Iron Fist.

I think it's always been around, it's just now they're stepping in to enforce it.

>DC changed it's social media rules because EVS told a fan to kill himself a few years ago.

That's not why they did that. Stop lying.

People were saying it was EVS related in this thread.
