Last thread had a serious lack of Toph

Still waiting on the Toph love route.

I should rewatch ATLA again, I have the DVD collection

LoK saved the series though

LoK is a disgusting continuation of one of the best cartoon shows ever made.

>He took the bait

Same here. I don't want to be a jerk to Toph.

LoK is so bad, even hardcore SJWs hate it despite all the pandering.
youtube.com/watch?v=QhS4a11jZOg

You now what? I'm going it to buy it because of you now

>be me
>hate LoK and how it ruined the Avatar universe
>find Korra fuckin hot and sometimes kinda fun
I'm confused

Do you remember the basics, anons?

youtu.be/Q2W2TeUUYps

You know, LoK does reminds me of womankind - unbearanly annoying, but some men are willing to suffer it because of hottiness and fun.

*unbearably

That's a bit extreme but I get the point

>Azula did nothing wrong
Fuck off, Scrapper.

His critique of the Red Lotus is pretty bad

...

About 1/3rd of the way through this, I don't like legend of korra and agree with most of what he's saying but he's ignoring that korra was only commissioned for one season at a time and comparing it to airbenders plot/storytelling in ways that aren't very fair.

almost perfect

ALMOST ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH

Toph is for hugs and lov...well maybe not in the morning

Drug Toph and put her in a wooden cage where she is completely helpless.

Let's do something about that then.

How cute!

But what would you do to her then? :o

...

Rescue her

Cabbage-guy is the true hero

To be honest I never really found him funny.

Truth

I recently started watching this series, and holy fuck if it ain't good. I'm midway through season two and I love almost everything about this series.
I might be fanboying, but the only problem I recognize is that the voice acting is a bit rough at times.

Me neither

Season 2 is honestly awesome. All characters evolve, it introduces Azula and Toph, I think the drawing is more smooth...
Season 2 also offers one of the best episodes in the entire show: The Tales of Ba Sing Se

Yeah I rewatched it the other year and noticed that too, I think its mainly due to the actors pretending to be younger than they are, it gets a little better in the final season though.

The final villain is voiced by luke skywalker
Enjoy zuko while he lasts

>Season 2 also offers one of the best episodes in the entire show: The Tales of Ba Sing Se
Literally just because of the Iroh section, the rest of the episode was...eh

>My aloofness hides an autism

Heh I liked the part with Zuko aswell

What if Korra did have to go on the avatars journey to master all 4 elements like aang did? Would that have improved the overall story arc in korra? Also shes gay from the beginning and the love side plot is kept to a minimum until the end. When she actually kisses asami

>voice acting gets better in the final season
youtube.com/watch?v=LDGxfhkP7RI
lies

>The Tales of Ba Sing Se
To be honest, I didn't really enjoy it. It felt kind of filler-y.
>second spoiler
W-why?
Wait, NO! I don't wanna know.

I really don't know...The story isn't the only issue of the show. The characters for example are quite bland (well not Korra, she's a sociopath cunt). If you have shitty characters, even with a good story, it will be shit.

I just wanted to see korra in a bikini or a skimpy outfit once to be honest, that's all that kept me watching after the first half of season 2

The story that we got was fine, but it just needed some fine-tuning.
>Also shes gay from the beginning
No thanks.
Korra's straight from the beginning, but over the series she slowly realizes Asami is who makes her happy and can emotionally connect with. Make the process more organic. And give Asami more reason to like Korra.

I understand. I mean, I began to watch LoK because of the Rule 34 of Korra, and the amount of porn created around her. In a design way, I find Korra awesome. Like really. She looks good, she's hot as fuck, she's buff...I like that. And I was excited about such character.
I hoped the show, claiming to be more mature than TLA, would give a female protagonist not afraid of being sexy and/or capable of talking about sex.

Instead we got a burping bitch...
I don't have to say I've been disappointed huh. As you said, there was not even a bikini scene! You could imagine a girl living in a cold region of the world, wearing warm clothes, would be curious to experience something more "open", to enjoy the sun and/or a war sea...Nope!

I liked them all, though aang's one was a bit weak.

artist?

Except the Korra - Asami "love" stuff comes from fuckin' nowhere. It's almost as fanfiction-like as the fuckin "dark avatar".
I could create a more coherent thing just by taking a dump.

I don't give a fuck about who Korra fucks, as long as it's properly introduced. And every """romance""" stuff is terribly introduced in LoK.
Even the flirt between Sokka and Yue felt less artificial, and it took only 2 episodes.
Asami being a bland character doesn't help...

You both wrong. Korra straight from beginning to end is the only good way to do it.

I guess that part was mostly for kids. It's a very "naive" part, to show how kind-hearted Aang is, and it's easy for kids to identify to him because taking care of animals is a simple concept.

That's how I see it at least.

I'm amazed nobody like zone ever made a porn parody of korra, I mean she gets subdued by tentacles in one episode and if memory serves, her moaning and grunts in the same episode were top tier.

>Even the flirt between Sokka and Yue felt less artificial, and it took only 2 episodes.
yeah no
There was a few times pre-finale that I thought Korra & Asami were being oddly gay, and their whole relationship had me questioning what was happening there. Could've been better though.
With Sokka and Yue it was like they had a crush the second they saw each other. & Yue is the worst character in ATLA.

>I mean she gets subdued by tentacles in one episode
This?

Yue is the best water tribe girl

Another character with a damn great design, for sure

Yue is quite like Asami, not much personality.

>there was not even a bikini scene!
Even Mai showed more skin than Korra...

Fun fact: The actor who played Yue in the movie is also Asami's VA.

She's a bland nice girl, thrown in to give Sokka another love interest. I guess he forgot about Sukki? The whole "arranged marriage" bit was so cliche.

But honestly I was fine with it...Until she became the moon. What. The. Fuck.

youtube.com/watch?v=-rf3GlOXnHs
Asami is more like Sukki.
For what good that is.

Stop

Making

Generals

It is bad enough that we have 7 daily Korra sucks thread, now we have a general for a dead series

I feel like Suki has too much personality to be like Asami.

youtu.be/b_8M8EI3M1E

Avatar can have some good discussion though

Generals are cancer period. When you label a thread a general, and when you keep making a single thread to "contain" anything, you end up with this shit

Every fucking time. It's not discussion, it's RP, /c/ posting, and forced bumps, and this happens explicitly because of generals because you have nothing to actually discuss and you just want something related to the series to be on the catalog. Multiple threads aren't as big a problem as this content narrowing drivel that encourages garbage. Fuck off.

>YT link as a reaction image

Ask me how I know you're a newfag. Like pottery.

I'm
What did I do wrong master

Generals are only good when a show airs or a new season kicks off. After that they should stop

Someone didn't get his dick sucked this morning. Are you naturally a grumpy guy, or do you just like to piss in the coffee for fun?

No wait. Know what? Follow your own advice
>>Fuck off

You're roleplaying/show quote posting because you have nothing better to talk about.

"Generals" should never exist. There is a difference between threads that naturally keep happening when something is airing and threads labelled "general" or "edition" which immediately encourage and spawn ciclejerks.

Ask me how I know you're a newfag. Fuck off.

Sup Forums is shit
deal with it

>complain about how threads are about shitposting
>call anons newfag
Do you even remember where you are faggot?
Other threads are literally that but for entires threads
Yesterday we got a thread only about Azula that was just memes and RP

>bikini or a skimpy outfi
Sadly you have to look for other characters if you want that kind of stuff.

What if toph didnt get burned by zuko?

fuck you're right
what was I thinking, quoting the show like that
I'm such a fuck up

...
>because you have nothing better to talk about
Well, actually I get into a ton of discussions about ATLA and TLOK here in threads like this
I have "fun" talking about this show for what little there is

>Korra sucks
Too bad she doesn't, canonically.

>Wait, NO! I don't wanna know.
Why not?
Don't worry too much

You just made me think about that

youtu.be/TTXhxFvu4I4

I always found the water tentacle-arms technic creepy as fuck.

What about drawthreads? Or MEGA/Win'O generals

Does morality do anything?

This is Sup Forums, you're not allowed to talk about stuff you like. Now go shit post in some other meaningless boring interchangeable thread we've all seen a dozen times already. Faggot.

HD release where Season1 doesn't look like a blurry mess when?

I honestly don't think so. But maybe I just never really paid attention.

anarchism IS retarded though

Why didnt aang just kill the firelord?
Korra wouldve killed the firelord.

One more thing. Why was it a good idea to base the entire series about dealing with the firelords shit when the writers didnt even know how to solve the situation without an asspull.

I wouldve killed the firelord if i was zuko.
History wouldve seen it as a son killing a tyranical father for peace.

>Why didnt aang just kill the firelord?
Because Aang's a selfish, hypocritical, self-righteous idiot

>Why didnt aang just kill the firelord?
Because "you don't destroy what you hate, you save what you love"

No seriously, Ozai is a piece of shit that should have died

That's from a real-world perspective though
The guy in the video talks about how it's a
>well-known fact
that anarchy just leads to a power vacuum. But

A. this is the Avatar-verse where that ISN'T a well-known fact
B. Red Lotus wouldn't have allowed a power vacuum to fester
and C. looking at how the government conducts itself, specifically the Ba Sing Se class walls and Sozin wiping out a nation etc, it's not so unbelievable that someone would think "ok this needs to stop." They're just like OG Team Avatar: putting an end to a system they believe is evil.

>Why didnt aang just kill the firelord?
If you kill your enemies, they win.

>"ok this needs to stop."
Raiko was in their sights to remove from office, despite being democratically elected. They had no qualms about killing Tenzin. Zaheer wants all people in power to abdicate or be forcefully removed. This includes people like Tonraq and Firelord Izumi. Any and all leaders are on their shit list regardless of how good or bad they are to those who they lead.

The Red Lotus didn't care about a power vacuum festering. They would just try to remove whoever rose to power in the wake of others being taken out. The remains of the Earth Kingdom suddenly turned into bandits and looters and raiders once the Earth Queen was dead, despite places like Omashu having a king and military leaders still being alive to conduct their soldiers. People started burning everything because Zaheer said "You guys are free. Do whatever you want." And once those 4 members are dead due to the passage of time, there is no one stopping others from bringing back those systems of government from being put into practice again. Unless those leaderless Red Lotus members recruit others and lead them in their idea of anarchy so as to pass down this idea so other leaders can rise up to carry out the leaderless governments.

who

>Korra wouldve killed the firelord.
Korra would have gathered people around her so they could take down the Firelord and only indirectly win because she had a group with her and they would call the series the Legend of Korra and give all the cool scenes to other people and have Korra be rendered unconscious or lose her powers and confidence again.

...

It doesn't matter how good they are, or if they were democratically elected. They can still steal the freedom of their people. Bumi tells us the government literally has a right to kidnap their citizens whenever they want, he didn't join the military willingly. Something like that is abhorrent in Zaheer's eyes.
youtube.com/watch?v=ka5qEWf9ut8

And they have too much power. If one of them gets greedy (Sozin) or is incompetent (Kuei) or is moronic (Raiko) or is power-hungry (Unalaq) or is callous (Hou-Ting), than it could lead to pointless suffering. Why should regular men put leaders like those, who don't care about anything except themselves, above their own wants? Above their own family? Even sweet ol' Grandma Mako is so indoctrinated that, out of everything in her burning house, the only thing she'd take is a picture of the vile Earth Queen. Over family pictures. Over tangible memories.

>Together, we will forge a world without kings and queens, without borders or nations, where Man's only allegiance is to himself and those he loves.

It's very likely they would've kept training more Red Lotus agents. Why wouldn't they? The group existed before Zaheer and will keep existing after him. Though there really isn't much he can do if after his lifetime more leaders sprout up. But at least it'll be different, Zaheer hopes whatever comes out of this will be better...because a world where a Fire Lord can just decide to wipe out a nation isn't worth maintaining. From his perspective.

Mako deserved better than how the show treated him.

At least he got to take korras virginity

*anal virginity

Amon defeated himself by skipping on better makeup and not just Y7 snapping bodies like he did his lieutenant.
Unalaq was about to kill Korra but Jinora intervened.
Zaheer was about to kill Korra but Jinora intervened.
Kuvira had parental issues and Korra talked her down after everyone else removed Kuvira's power from around her. So I guess I can give you the Kuvira thing.

>Mako deserved better than how the show treated him.
He didn't deserve anything except to not exist in the show that he had no purpose being in other than love interest.

>because a world where a Fire Lord can just decide to wipe out a nation isn't worth maintaining.
As opposed to spirits pushing humanity to the brink of extinction and forcing them to live on the backs of lionturtles while Vaatu forcibly corrupts spirits to fight humans? Even the spirits that the airbenders were hanging out with got turned to Vaatu's side when he passed by.
