...

dont think that would be considered viable evidence in this class

>I'm retarded
>I'm ignorant
>I rely on Sup Forums shitposts, rather than facts and evidence, to form my opinions
>I'm taking a communications class
>I want to "prove my professor wrong"
>I use the term redpill unironically
>I'm a fucking leaf

You round up to 79% dumbass

Ask them to produce evidence of pay related to hours worked. A lot of the gender wage gap statistics are made up by taking women who work 30 hours a week and comparing them with men who work 45. There is no study that compares men and women who work the same job for the same hours at the same company and earn different amounts. It is simply false.

>evidence to prove a negative
Tell your professor she's a fucking retard who doesn't know how burden of proof works.

Also this

Also don't you guys have a law like our Equal Pay Act of 1963?

Using the statistic that women make 78 cents on the dollar as evidence of rampant discrimination has been debunked over and over again. That statistic doesn’t take into account a lot of choices that women and men make—education, years of experience and hours worked—that influence earnings. If we want to have a fruitful discussion about a gender wage gap, we should have it after the comparison is adjusted for those factors. In a 2013 Slate article, Hanna Rosin, author of The End of Men, for example, wrote:

The official Bureau of Labor Department statistics show that the median earnings of full-time female workers is 77 percent of the median earnings of full-time male workers. But that is very different than “77 cents on the dollar for doing the same work as men.” The latter gives the impression that a man and a woman standing next to each other doing the same job for the same number of hours get paid different salaries. That’s not at all the case. “Full time” officially means 35 hours, but men work more hours than women. That’s the first problem: We could be comparing men working 40 hours to women working 35.

>implying I made this pic
kys retard

Just tell him there's a law against it so it doesn't exist. Just like illegal immigrants, marijuana, voter fraud, and black market firearms.

Then tell him to fuck off.

/thread

Canada should just nuke itself

Oh wait. You guys are so dumb you don't even have nukes.

"Wage =/= pay"

There is a reason for the wage gap.
>be woman
>be close to worthless almost 25% of the month
>but not all women
But not all men are paid more than women.
Also, fuck off you faggot.

>trying to redpill your proffessor

Don't do it user, youre gonna have a bad time

>not making your own infografics
No wonder you lazy assessment keep getting invaded

>hard evidence
how hard is it to search up a website that proves it?
The real explanation of that 78 to a dollar bullshit is just simply a misconception. There are more men in higher earning positions, such as CEOs and whatever. It is not as if there is gender bias or horseshit like that, that is liberal lies to just get stupid women to vote democrat. So if you were to take the total amount of money made by women and compared that amount to the total amount made by men, you would see a ratio of 78:100.

Your teacher is making the claim!!!! You dont have to prove anything.

here you go

youtube.com/watch?v=hRfERVPq2VE

basically it's already illegal for an employer to pay his employees less because of their gender, there is no WAGE gap, but there is an EARNING gap, since women choose to be unemployed or work less hours to be homemakers more, which is the real issue that triggers feminists

so it's like saying I'm being discriminated against as an atheist by not being allowed to go to church, when in reality I am allowed I just choose to spend my sunday mornings shitposting on Sup Forums of my own free will

factor in leave -- women take more vacation than men and get many months for maternity leave --- usually paid for by the company. They also tend to cash in more on company health insurance plans.

when you look at hours worked vs benefits/pay received, women usually make more than men.

also when liberals site "factual numbers" about gender pay gap, they dont account for job title, years in position and qualifications. when you hear about "women at company x make less than the men" it means that the women are mostly secretaries and admin assistants while the men are engineers and managers. skews the numbers a lot. thats why the "women in STEM" meme exists. They get shitty jobs and then go on extended leave and then bitch about not making as much as a manager that works 80 hours a week.

Even if we provided evidence and a reasoned argument for you to use, my impression is you're a sperglord and would just fuck it up anyway. Best to just not embarrass yourself and take notes, leaf

Ask him: how come females basically have the same average hourly salary?

:3

Nice one ameribro.

That chart of men vs women in nasty or deadly jobs like coal miner, sewer worker, plumber, and so on.

the wage gap myth shit tends to ignore position based pay.

Those jobs pay much more per hour than the majority of jobs women choose, so that should help alot.
1000 women working waitress, retail, teaching etc
vs
1000 men working shit jobs like coal mining, tunneling, etc of course will earn more per person

The gender wage gap and not a lack thereof is the postulate and therefore you must prove the wage gap, not disprove it.

It's an earnings gap, that's all the numbers are capable of proving; they take the amount of money made by men and then divide it by the total number of men in that trade, that's it. Repeat with women. It literally does not have the ability to tell you what someone's wage was, only what they earned. It's an EARNINGS gap

Just propose logical arguments, they're usually a lot easier to convince people and require a lot less evidence.

If I was a business and I could pay my employees 25% less simply by them being women, why would I not hire only women?
