Yes, their online stuff in particular reeks of bias (barely a distinction between Op ed and their news anymore) but Trump's constant assertion that they are "failing" just makes him sounds whiney and soft, though we already know he is both of those things.
I'd rather hear it from trumps twitter feed than the NY times. He can say exactly what he likes without fear of it being twisted or misrepresented as has been done in the past.

I think he has grudge against a media he feels has treated him unfairly. He is trying to further erode the public confidence in them so he can control the national narrative.
